  1. Need a little help. I've tried looking through the syslog for the reason for the error message of flash drive is corrupted. I just don't see what is causing the problem. I have taken the precaution of creating a backup flash drive, but have not inserted it into the computer.  On a side note from some reason I can't upload the file to this post. I'll continue to try and post the zip file here. For now please use this link

  2. I've been trying now for about a week to get my VM's working. The VM's can ping the local gateway. I can ping the VM's from other machines on the network. Yet the minute the VM tries to pull data from the internet it fails. I have gone in to Ubuntu VM and set a static IP. That didn't work. I have cleared the routing table in the VM and that didn't work. I deleted the Ubuntu system and recreated a fresh install and that didn't work. Not sure where else to go from here.

The Unraid system has no problem accessing the internet. Also, VM system is set to use br0 for its network bridge.

    What else can I try?

  3. I did some testing and found that the windows VM will not pass traffic on the eth0 which is br0 on Unraid. So I plugged a wireless adapter in and did a test. All traffic will pass over the wireless adapter with not problem as long as I have eth0 disabled. I tried removing and re-installing the virtio driver for networking and this had no affect on the system. So this leads me to believe that Unraid br0 is the source of the problem.

  4. Ive tried these steps to get my VM's working and nothing is working correctly. What I'm seeing is any VM windows or Ubuntu can access the main domain of a site just fine, but when I try to access the subdomain they fail. I have no problem access a subdomain directly from Unraid using the wget command or the alternate boot to gui method. Ayn ideas on what I can try next.

    Unraid 6.9-rc2

    VM bonded

VM drivers virt and virt-io tested

  5. I just rebuilt my Docker and template file for Zoneminder. In addition I applied the recommended setting for memory. My question is each time I try to limit the amount of storage space that I want to allow Zoneminder to use. The program never accurately reflects this. For example lets say I just want to give it 10G for video storage. However, when I go into the user interface it shows my entire storage array amount of a couple to terabytes. How do I limit the amount of available storage for the docker container

  6. I'm pretty sure my cache pool is mounting. My windows vm's run from the cache pool. I look using the top command and under stats page for a quicker overview. My other Ubuntu system at work never fills up the memory to capacity. This is why I was wondering if that might be the problem.

  7. I've upgraded the disk that was failing to a newer disk. and still the system /mnt/user is unmounting.

One thing I'm noticing is the memory. When a fresh reboot occurs the required amount of RAM is used. Then half of the available RAM is used as a cache. The rest remains unused. But, when I checked while at work the amount of available RAM was almost gone and was consumed by the cache portion. What might be causing this.

    Any suggestions.

  8. The disk is mounted and I can look through the contents with both the GUI and CLI. Here is a screen shot of the disk states. The thing that surprises me is the SMART test short and extended completed without error. Granted this is a WD Blue hard drive. I have a WD Red arriving today.

  9. Last night was the first time in a while the problem happened again. I completely forgot to get a log dump. The only thing that I had running external of the system was an SSH session from work that I forgot to close. But, that shouldn't of caused the /mnt/user to stop working.

I did however notice on one of my desk a couple of days ago one of my disks had a "Current Pending sector" problem. Then yesterday we had a power outage and the system preformed like it should of and shutdown before the ups died. However, when the system came back online a new error on the same disk now read "Offline uncorrectable." I already have a new disk on its way. I don't think these two are related as the disk in question is empty and only has about 100M of data. All of which I have no problem loosing.

Any more suggestion to fixing the problem. I have already upgraded to the newest stable release of 6.8.2. That did not fix the problem.

  10. For the docker image. A while ago I installed a container that was hungry in its size. Since then I have removed the container as it was affecting general performance. I also found that Zoneminder was getting rather large until I made some changes to the container. I just haven't scaled it back down.

    Just found this post.

They report the same problem. However, I don't see what the fix was.

  11. I did a memory test a couple of days ago and it reported no errors. I also shutdown several docker containers and stopped a VM from starting. I also placed the thumb drive into a different USB port. Finally did tried to update the BIOS, but found out it was already up to date. I still am having the problem of the /mnt/user directory unmounting. I looked through the logs and did not see any errors with memory. What else can I look at or try.

  12. I'm having a problem where my /mnt/user directory is unmounting. I have looked through the logs and can not find where or what is causing this problem. I have tried several large file transfers, running multiple vm's, and activating the mover. None of these seems to be the cause. The directory just randomly drops. The only way I have found to fix the problem is to reboot the system. I have attached to log file. What else can I try to fix the problem.

  13. I'm having the same problem with my system.

I get the message when trying to find apps.

Community Applications requires your server to have internet access. The most common cause of this failure is a failure to resolve DNS addresses. You can try and reset your modem and router to fix this issue, or set static DNS addresses (Settings - Network Settings) of 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 and try again.

I just installed PIHole. When I received this message i turned off the PiHole. Still the problem persists. I then reset the router and forced the DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. Still the problem remained. then I took it one steep further and forced the system to google as well. and the problem persists.

    Unraid version is 6.5.0

    Any help would be appreciated.
