  1. You are right, it´s a GeForce 210. Well, the missing UEFI support explains a lot of things. I guess I´m going to find myself some old GTX model for a few bucks, one with a GTX760 should do the trick. Will check against the posted database. Thanks a lot for the fast reply.
  2. Good day community, I once again have an issue that I can´t solve/google myself. I am trying to run some Linux VMs. But no matter what I do, they won´t output to the installed Nvidia GT210, neither on VGA nor on HDMI. Weird enough, sometimes there is a slight hint of output, but it always disappears. I tried installing several distro´s, but so far, none of them would output to the GPU. I can install and run those VMs with remote desktop, but as soon as I switch to the graphics card the whole thing goes south. Anything I yet missed again when dealing with VMs and installed hardware? Thanks a lot.
  3. I am currently experiencing the same problem with my VMs. This kind of sucks since I am planning to use Unraid instead of VMWare for virtualization. I plan to run a lot of VMs on my server, but with this input lag/bug it is more or less impossible to work in shell or with any UI for that matter.
  4. Thanks. Now I feel stupid (again) Works great.
  5. Hi everybody, sorry for digging up this old thread, but I have the exact same problem. When opening VMs via VNC the keyboard map is all messed up. When enabling Advanced View of VM settings, the option for changing the keymap does not appear. Is this feature hidden somewhere else or was it removed? Thanks a lot.
  6. I guess I will have to wait until I can afford the new cage and SATA controller. The drives I have are rather old and small (1,5TB and 2TB) and it seems that the risk is to high. Thanks for your feedback.
  7. Would be good to have the capacity of those drives, but I won´t put my files at risk. Right now I need another 1.5TB for my VMs and my LightRoom Library. And even that will not leave a whole lot of space after I copied the VMs/LR-Library over to the array. But I won´t put them into until I can be sure I can switch them later on. If that is not possible then the idea is dead anyway.
  8. Good evening community, I have one quick question. I have a bunch of external drives, mainly older 1TB and 1,5TB WDs. Right now I´m thinking of connecting them to the Unraid server via USB and adding them into my array. My case can hold a couple of more drives with an additional HDD cage (which I would have to buy) and an additional SATA controller (which I also would have to buy). Buying both is not an option right now, but will be in a couple of month. Assuming I add those drives to the array now, do they get some kind of UID which identifies them to the server? If so, I should be able to pull them out of the external cases and put them into the internal HDD cage without having to set them up as new drives again, right? Does anybody have experience with such swaps from external to internal? Best regards Gonozal
  9. Thanks for the help. Followed the instructions and it works fine now.
  10. Thanks a lot. Did not know that. Cache works fine now.
  11. Good day community, during the last week I did set up my first Unraid server. So far I encountered no problems that I couldn´t solve myself except one. I put in three 120GB Kingston SSDs as cache. I enabled cache in the settings, the system is showing those SSDs as cache, but it just won´t use them. Every time I copy files from my workstations onto the server they get written directly onto the array. I tried changing the needed free space for cache but without any effect. Below is my systemlog. Maybe I overlooked some simple setting. Thanks a lot Jun 18 14:15:21 avunraid emhttp: shcmd (359): /etc/rc.d/rc.libvirt start |& logger Jun 18 14:15:21 avunraid root: Starting virtlockd...
