  1. Hello all. I have this error that i cannot work out how to fix (assuming it needs fixing). Invalid folder cache contained within /mnt I've checked my Dockers and VMs and cannot find a reference to anything un-toward. I do seem to have gained an extra share /etc which has libvirt/qemu/ in it! Everything seems to be working correctly. Diagnostics attached. Can anyone help? Thanks for your time. 2. Hello. I have a SuperMicro X10SLL-F motherboard with a USB 3 Host Controller, LSI SAS2008 HBA and a Graphics Card in the PCI Slots. It boots just fine off the internal USB from my Unraid Flash Drive but whenever i plug external disks (there are alot) into the USB PCI card (for a VM i run), it fails to boot and i cannot work out a way to get the BIOS to ignore the External USB drives. Can anyone help? if it helps: https://www.supermicro.com/en/products/motherboard/X10SLL-F
  3. Hello. I have recently had two SanDisk 480Gb SSD plus 2.5inch drives fail (out of their 3 year warrantee) one week after the other and they now just show up as 'Sandisk_Milpitas_SSD' and are un useable. Can anyone recommend a 2.5 inch SSD of similar size to use for a VM please? I have a pair of Raid 1 SSDs (240Gb of the same make) for Docker and write cache. Many thanks W
  4. I did not know that. All recovered so thank you.
  5. Hello. The SSD where my dockers were failed and i've installed a new one, then used 'Restore Appdata' from my latest backup and forced it onto the new SSD. If i view the SSD in MAIN i can see these: appdata/binhex-krusader appdata/pihole etc... a folder for each of my dockers system/docker/docker.img system/libvirt/libvirt.img system/vdisk1.img The VM works after I pointed the VM to /mnt/ssd/system/vdisk1.img In SETTINGS > Docker i have these settings: Docker vDisk location: /mnt/user/system/docker/docker.img Default appdata storage location: /mnt/user/appdata/ When i go to the Docker tab all my Dockers are gone and it sys: No Docker containers installed Can anyone help please?

  7. Hello. Is there a way to reset my IPMI logins using this? Thank you for your time.
  8. Stop array Change Pool Devices | Slots: to '1' That seems to be fixed, thank you for bearing with me.
  9. Hello. I am having a problem with the system data share. It's currently saying 'Some or All Files Unprotected' and no matter what i set the Cache/Array to and run Mover it won't clear. I've spotted i seem to have duplicate files if i view the disks directly: (file | owner | permission | size | last modified | location) Cache /system/docker/docker.img | nobody | -rw-rw-rw- | 21.5 GB | 2024-01-02 15:50 | cache /system/libvert/libvert.img | nobody | -rw-rw-rw- | 1.07 GB | 2024-01-02 15:48 | cache Disk 1 /system/libvert/libvert.img | nobody | -rw-rw-rw- | 1.07 GB | 2024-01-02 14:27 | disk1 Disk 3 /system/docker/docker.img | nobody | -rw-r--r-- | 21.5 GB | 2024-01-02 14:27 | disk3 In settings i have this: Docker Docker vDisk location: /mnt/user/system/docker/docker.img VM Manager Libvirt storage location: /mnt/user/system/libvirt/libvirt.img Can i clear this error?
  10. Hello and Happy New Year. I have a fairly small server (4 x 3Tb disks so 9Tb space with a single parity) mostly used as a Plex server but also stores my Photos/Music/Odd files. It currently has 54% used space and i've no problems getting a set of larger HDs should i need them. The question i have is regarding some SSDs i have and Cache Pools. The SSDs i have are: 480Gb x2, 240Gb x1 & 120Gb x2 I have a single VM running that's currently a 300Gb vdisk & says 262Gb allocation. Dockers are: Krusader, Minecraft, Pihole, Plex & Unifi. I was thinking of using the two 120Gb as a write cache in RAID1 for redundancy until Mover runs, i dont write much to the array, the odd film etc. Dockers could live on the 240Gb 1x 480Gb could be for my VM. I use Appdata Backup to backup to the main Array. That leaves 1x 480Gb that i'm not sure what to do with but could return as its still in packaging. Does anyone see any problems with or can offer improvements on that please?
  11. Done. Array started and Dockers/VMs are present. tower-diagnostics-20240102-1428.zip
  12. Wanted to point out that i've now physically removed the faulty drive, i dont have the new one to replace it yet. Stopped array, Pool devices says 'Slots 2', the first (Cache) is my 480Gb and the second (Cache 2) says 'unassigned'. If i change 'Slots' to 1 which is how i assume you "remove the missing device" I then can't start the array as it says 'Wrong Pool State. cache - too many missing/wrong devices' Am i doing something wrong, this is what i see?
  13. Got it. In Krusader you have to go tools >Empty Trash. The backup is now 5.08 Mb instead of 46.2 Gb.
  14. Hello, Happy new Year I've just installed and run Appdata backup and have noticed my Krusader backup is 46Gb which seems very large. Do i need to remove some temp files or suchlike?
  15. balance complete, new diags attached. tower-diagnostics-20240101-1553.zip
  16. @trurl I may revisit this as currently my cache, a RAID1 of 2x 480Gb SSDs is a bit large for a simple disk writing cache and i currently also use it for VMs & Dockers. I've got 2x 120Gb SSDs (different brands) & a 240Gb SSD spare so may redo the disk cache as 2x 120Gb RAID1 for redundant data copying use until mover moves the data to the main array. That will free up a 2x 480Gb & a 240Gb for VMs/dockers/backup purposes
  17. @JorgeB sdg1 is a 'SanDisk_SSD_PLUS_480GB (sdg) 480Gb' with 107Gb free, not sure why that error is coming up. Would this be as ive re-plugged the physical devices in the wrong way round after testing leads? The faulty SSD which is currently 'Sandisk_Milpitas_SSD (sdh)' & should be the same 480Gb SSD as above, is only showing as a 16.4KB drive in unassigned devices - if thats relevant.
  18. @itimpi Thankyou VM Backup says its a BETA so I've just installed Appdata Backup. I added an un exported share 'Appdatabackup' on the main array (turned Security to Private) and have set this as a backup location for now. Can't decide if this is good enough or i should add an Unassigned Device external drive and use that. Then configured the settings to backup to /mnt/user/Appdatabackup/ It says its backing up: /mnt/user/appdata /mnt/cache/appdata Should i add? /mnt/user/domains/ /mnt/user/isos/ Manual backup currently running. Thankyou.
  19. Stopped array & unassigned pool device (so it now says 'no device') but i cannot start the array without checking 'Yes, I want to do this' - so i did. Stopped array once started, changed pool to 2 slots and restarted. Yay, dockers and VMs are back - i can't thank you enough. I'm hoping the process of rebuilding the RAID1 is easy once the new drive arrives. New diags attached. What i now need to do is learn out how to backup the VMs & Dockers (apart from in RAID1) tower-diagnostics-20240101-1320.zip
  20. Hello again, thanks for the reply. Happy new year. I did on the first post but ive just done another and its attached. The only thing i may have done whilst checking leads is to attach the working SSD drive to a SATA connector different to it's original - but theres only two options so i can easily put it back. I hope that makes sense. A replacement SSD is arriving tomorrow. Wx tower-diagnostics-20240101-1145.zip
  21. Thank you. I've got the array started with only one SSD but on the main screen it says under Size: Unmountable: Unsupported or no file system My Docker containers and VMs are all gone. I thought being RAID1 this was mirrored so was recoverable.
  22. Hello all. I installed a new USB PCI card and when i rebooted the array wouldn't start reporting one of my cache disks was missing. The cache was a RAID1 array with two 480Gb SanDisk SSD Plus drives. At first i thought i'd knocked something so checked Power/Sata etc, thats all fine. I then swapped around the leads and the error repeats to the same drive, so i know its not a lead. The faulty drive shows in Unassigned Devices as an odd drive (Sandisk Milpitas) @ 16.4 KB that won't format. I can get the array to start by stopping the array and setting pool devices to 1 but my VM (which was on the Cache drive) is missing. Can i get help with the following please? How do i check the faulty SSD? Fix the cache array if i buy a new identical SSD? Change the Cache to a single drive? Diagnostics attached. Many thanks - i'm a bit lost! tower-diagnostics-20231231-1239.zip
  23. Hello. I keep getting this error and i can't work out what it is: VM Autostart disabled: 19-07-2023 15:03 vfio-pci-errors VM Autostart disabled due to vfio-bind error In the notifications: Please review /var/log/vfio-pci-errors That file: Error: Vendor:Device 144d:a80a not found at 0000:01:00.0, unable to bind device Under Tools>System Devices there is no '144d:a80a' BUT, if i look under VIEW VFIO-PCI LOG i can see this, where it is mentioned: Loading config from /boot/config/vfio-pci.cfg BIND=0000:01:00.0|144d:a80a --- Processing 0000:01:00.0 144d:a80a --- Devices listed in /sys/bus/pci/drivers/vfio-pci: vfio-pci binding complete I can edit that .cfg file and delete that entry (the only entry) but i've no idea how it got there or what it is! There are no VMs installed (i deleted all of them) Unraid OS Version: 6.12.3 Can anyone help with what to look for or do please? Many thanks. Wx
  24. Turned out an upgrade to UNRAID OS 6.12.2 fixed it, all working now. Is there a way to remove unwanted metadata from movie files?
