I will be trying this when i get home. I have krusader so as long as it mounts i should be fine. I was not sure if UD has an input field for the drive passphrase as i have not tried an encrypted drive on UD. Thanks for the input on this you guys. I will either report back or mark this as resolved depending on what happens tonight.

Will that be a Command Line based task? i have no problem with that just curious what i will need to look for here on the forums. Also this is probably for the best as the disk that was in that position has 3.5yrs of spin time on it and would need replaced soon anyhow.

Yeah i was doing this all on my phone. Will not be doing that again. I accept this is a problem of my own creation and i apologize for having asked the question.

When i inserted the drive and set it to disk position 2 and started the array it said the drive needed formatted. So yes i did format the drive as i thought it was required for a proper rebuild. It has been a year+ since my last failed disk so i would bet i screwed it up by formatting the drive. Am i correct in this assumption? Is there a good way to do a new config? I am going to look around on here as i am sure there is a lot on the process. Might have to clonezilla the drive before i do a new config so i have a good backup of the disk in question. Hate to do a new config and screw that up too.

Not really sure how it happened at this point i am not sure it matters. I had to replace a drive last night due to some idiotic circumstances. The drive was removed from the array with the array started. My daughter popped the drive bay. Either way the drive is not bad but was disabled. I threw a new drive in and started a rebuild of the drive. Once it was "rebuilt" it was empty which is a bit worrying as it was a 3TB Drive 2.5TB full originally. Now i need to mount my 3tb encrypted drive to another computer with a Win10 OS so i can copy all my data back to the array. Is this possible? If not what is the procedure to get this mounted on a linux distribution? The only reason windows 10 is preferable is that i have a fibre line hooked up between the server and that PC. The only other thing i could ask is, is there a way to reinsert this disk and make it take and do a parity rebuild after the fact? XFS-Encrypted Sorry if this is a stupid question but i have never had a parity rebuild not rebuild the data before and it happened on both my servers last night.

If anyone has i would love to hear how you accomplished this. I could setup an Ubuntu VM and setup the Ark server on that. That just seems like a lot of layers for something that seems like it should fit into a docker without much issue. There is a docker on docker hub for this but i am feeling a bit lost on setup. https://hub.docker.com/r/turzam/ark/ There was also the post below on this forum. It is a bit dated and i had a feeling someone would fry me for reviving it. Squid asked in the second post " Did you follow the instructions on the docker page?". I am more than willing to follow a write up for something like this if anyone knows which instructions he is speaking of. If this is a really stupid question i do apologize. I just do not want to FUBAR either of my servers by doing something inaccurately or stupid. Any help is appreciated.

On a side note any GPU miners could use Kali & Hashcat as a side project. Not the intended use but if you forget your password might be worth the time.lol

I have tested both servers and the Configs on both seem to not seem too make a difference.

Using Terminal i am still unable to Ping Github.com in unraid. and all the problems stated in the first post still seem to be there. But with your help pfsense can at least see github.com so it is a step in the right direction.

Going to try the DNS Settings Next.

Originally that is exactly what i had. The only reason that unfortunate DNS is even in here is due to the "Reset your modem / router or try again later, or set your DNS Settings to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 Also make sure that you have a Gateway address set up." message given at the fix common problems plugin. I was trying to give unRaid the most direct rout to the outside world. I have not checked the logs. Honestly i am not 100% sure where to find them yet.

It is a dummy DNS = No one as is not pointing to a Wan. All DNS requests blocked by pfBlockerNG go here to die. pfBlockerNG is setup as a DNS based network AD blocker. So if it sees a request to or from a website on one of my lists it forwards those DNS queries to 10.10.10.1 which goes absolutely no where. Since the DNS queries cannot be resolved to a website the AD is effectively blocked.

This is what i am getting. The following input errors were detected: - Host "github.com" did not respond or could not be resolved. I have a feeling something might be screwed up in this region but i cannot put my finger on it. The first DNS is used with pfBlockerNG when active.

About 2 months ago i created a pfSense router for my home setup This is a stand alone system that is bare metal and not a VM of any sort. Ever since then i cannot get the plugins to register there are updates needed, the plugins all have status - Unknown. The OSupdate area in tools is also non-functional. Is there anyone here that has a pfSense router working nicely with unraid that would be willing to give me some pointers? I also have this error in the Fix common problems section "Unable to communicate with GitHub.com" along with every Plugin that needs updated listed there as well. I understand why it is throwing that last error but i need a way to fix it and have not found a good solution as of yet. The reason is that pfSense stops all ping requests as far as i can tell from my readings. The error from github is due to pinging Github.com and not getting a response. I have a feeling this is my underlying issue with the plugin status and update. It could also quite possible be my main issue with the OSupdate tool not working as well. I have set the DNS in my router and both of my servers. I have also tried disabling the firewall and shutting down pfBlockerNG in different combinations to leave everything unprotected. I only have one port forwarded to the outside world and that is Plex@32400. Https is enabled and i have a VPN server setup and working. Any help is appreciated if you would like to know anything else just ask. I will give any information i can. I do apologize for having to ask this here, I have been at this for 2 months and admit defeat. I like my protection but if i cannot get pfSense to work 100% i may as well nuke it.

I read through a forum post on Cloudberry. You stated in this post that you had not hit a limit on a local backup. Can you confirm this is accurate? I do not mind paying for pro if this works but if the size limit is accurate i would need Ultimate which is getting kinda pricey. I realize backing up is worth it in the long run. I am just curious. Please let me know how yours is working.

I recently flashed this same card to IT with the latest Firmware which i believe is up to 20. Thus far i have not had any issue with it. I am currently running 6.4.0 on that particular server. I have been unable to update it past 6.4.0 due to some PFsense networking issues i have not been able to rectify just yet.

Are there any options for backing up an unraid server to an on site backup server? I have read posts about rsync to do the job but with new disk encryption rsync becomes unwieldy. I have tried Beyond Compare on a VM to copy my shares and overall BC is great but the server is just too large. These servers are direct connected with a 10Gb Fibre line. Is there a good docker or Plugin that might be able to do this? I have been attempting to get this to work for over a month with different options. Any insight or advise would be great.
