  1. Yeah had similar issues with a microsoft bt sculpt mouse, same exact issue. Never got it resolved, just went over to a generic bt mouse.
  2. yeah i think the flash drive crapped out on me. I formatted a new one and threw the /config folder over and all seems well now? Not sure if I did that right but the array went back up and it's checking parity
  3. I tried to chkdsk but it says it is write protected Edit, nm, I think it's because it's my locked down work computer, i'll look to see how to do this on mac or linux
  4. My server locked up so I rebooted and now I cannot connect to the web gui! I have no idea what's going on and am freaking out since I have so much data on there. Any clue on what to check and how to check it? the server seems to boot up ok and I can ssh in but there is just no web gui edit, when I ssh in it shows no files in /boot. but when i put the flash drive into another computer i see all the files there Says -bash: cd: mnt: No such file or directory edit 2, rebooted, did a ls in /boot and saw this /bin/ls: cannot access 'System Volume Information': Input/output error /bin/ls: cannot access 'syslinux': No such file or directory /bin/ls: cannot access 'bzimage': No such file or directory /bin/ls: cannot access 'bzroot': No such file or directory /bin/ls: cannot access 'bzroot-gui': No such file or directory /bin/ls: cannot access 'EFI-': Input/output error /bin/ls: cannot access 'previous': Input/output error /bin/ls: cannot access 'make_bootable_linux': No such file or directory /bin/ls: cannot access 'make_bootable_mac': No such file or directory /bin/ls: cannot access 'readvz': No such file or directory /bin/ls: cannot access 'logs': No such file or directory /bin/ls: cannot access 'packages': No such file or directory /bin/ls: cannot access 'preclear_reports': No such file or directory /bin/ls: cannot access 'FSCK0009.REC': No such file or directory EFI-/ FSCK0012.REC* FSCK0025.REC* System\ Volume\ Information/ make_bootable.bat* FSCK0000.REC* FSCK0013.REC* FSCK0026.REC* Tonga.rom* make_bootable_linux FSCK0001.REC* FSCK0014.REC* FSCK0027.REC* bzfirmware* make_bootable_mac FSCK0002.REC* FSCK0015.REC* FSCK0028.REC* bzimage memtest* FSCK0003.REC* FSCK0016.REC* FSCK0029.REC* bzmodules* packages/ FSCK0004.REC* FSCK0017.REC* FSCK0030.REC* bzroot preclear_reports/ FSCK0005.REC* FSCK0018.REC* FSCK0031.REC* bzroot-gui previous/ FSCK0006.REC* FSCK0019.REC* FSCK0032.REC* changes.txt* readvz FSCK0007.REC* FSCK0020.REC* FSCK0033.REC* config/ syslinux/ FSCK0008.REC* FSCK0021.REC* FSCK0034.REC* ldlinux.c32* FSCK0009.REC FSCK0022.REC* FSCK0035.REC* ldlinux.sys* FSCK0010.REC* FSCK0023.REC* FSCK0036.REC* license.txt* FSCK0011.REC* FSCK0024.REC* FSCK0037.REC* logs/
  5. Solid man! I was thinking the same thing, I'll replace and see how it goes!
  6. Yeah, smart was fine. I'll post diags tower-diagnostics-20171213-1426.zip
  7. Still having an issue. I resynced the parity drive and all was well until this morning where it I now have all the issues described in the first post again. Once again I'm resyncing the parity drive. Is this because it's spinning down and gets out of sync? Any ideas?
  8. I can't seem to backup a certain share, it always fails. Anything I can check to make sure it gets backed up? this is back up to my local NAS.
  9. Just got it sorted out, for anyone else with this error check your server time, mine was off by 5 hours (which is whole other issue) and it all is good now.
  10. Duplicati was working fine for weeks but now all of a sudden I get a "The connection to the server is lost" I've tried restarting it but same error comes up
  11. so I rebooted and now it freaked about about parity being disabled so I removed it and re-added it to re-sync. I'll see what happens in about 24 hours..
  12. similar issue with a MS sculpt mouse. it will work for a couple minutes then just stop.
  13. So I bought unRAID about 3 months ago and gave up since I couldn't figure out what to use it for. I have a Synology NAS I use for storage (still have plenty of space there) which backups nightly to gdrive. I have a esxi box with Ubuntu on it for Plex and subsonic and torrents. My main machine is a RYZEN rig. I got to thinking, why have the esxi box wasting electricity, so my options are to run hyper-v Ubuntu for Plex and subsonic (which runs fine) or I could throw unRAID on RYZEN and run windows in a VM and run Plex and other stuff in docker. I have in RYZEN 1x8TB 1x4TB 2x2TB And a 500gb cache I don't think I need parity here since the Synology is my main storage for everything. I guess I could mirror my Synology onto unRAID for a local backup but not sure what else I can with unRAID in my setup. I really like unRAID and want to use it but as you can see I am not sure how it fits in. Tl;Dr - already have Synology NAS with storage for backup and am trying to simplify 2 servers and a NAS into 1 server with NAS.
