My cache drive pretty much stayed fine without error. No thumbs down. Everytime after reboot, it works back again. I believe my diagnostics have the cache drive details, WDC_WD20EFRX-68EUZN0_WD-WMC4M1780430 - 2 TB (sdi). Any test I can run before checking the cable?

Not sure if this makes sense. If I plug a USB drive, can it be assigned an IP address, so the USB can be accessed via SMB? There is a plugin called USB manager. I installed it, but I don't know what it does.

I have folders that currently exist in both cache, and array. e.g. downloads (use cache only share), it can currently be seen in /mnt/cache/downloads and /mnt/user/downloads. I don't know if I may have changed setting before to not only use cache, but I've since double checked, and made sure shares like that use cache ONLY. There are several folders, such as domains, iso, etc, most troublesome of which is, my appdata folder, existing in both cache and array. I only want them to be in the cache folder. How do I migrate them without corrupting config, or whatever files? I'm using things like Emby server, Sab, Sonarr... Will it be as simple as using Unbalance plugin? Unbalance doesn't cover appdata folder in moving.

Yes. I like it. I have a firewall at home, Sophos Xg, and I don't know how to configure it to be accessible from outside, and still be secure. I may be a victim of my own devices 🙂. I honestly believe it's a good sync solution. Not a backup. But after syncing, can be backed up. I will have to revisit it once again to see if I can get the reverse proxy working. I don't know if there is new instructions from spaceinvaderone already...

Ok. Would you say it is also because you've been updating QTS new versions on old hardware? Is this a reason for concern? Just like IOS on iPhone, the hardware can handle several rounds of upgrades, but each upgrade makes it slower and slower. Eventually, some apps won't run. Do you experience this on Qnap if hardware has been around for 5 years? As for os takes a long time to boot, I assume you don't have to reboot all the time.

I am particularly curious on why change OS of old Qnap NAS to Unraid. What part of the system, initially functioning well, is no longer acceptable after say, 5 years of use.

Hi. Is it possible to install this driver, and use it when needed? I also have GPU passed through to VM. Will turn off VM when about to use Docker containers that use the GPU.

Why is there a need to change MTU value? Is this only applicable because it's Qnap? Never did this to my own Unraid. Maybe I should. Please explain further.
