emby/embyserver:latest by default set GIDLIST to 2. Should I change the value to 18?

Plex/emby can transcode in docker container with "--device /dev/dri:/dev/dri" in extra parameters and activated i915 in go file in unraid! tested on asrock j4205 (intel hd505) and i5-7400 (intel hd630) on both works perfect!! i played 4k hevc 10bit in web browser and had 30% cpu util on j4205 tiny board.

I'm with partial success passed through intel HD 505 (asrock j4205), but It suffer from a error 43 when install intel video drivers. Tried different drivers, from asrock, intel, windows update - no success, i see intel device in device manager in windows but it doesn`t work! hyper-v - on/off (no difference) vm run in Seabios and i440fx in legacy mode and no other way to start vm except Seabios and i440fx

when you write "onboard graphics" you mean aspeed 2400 or intel HD 630? I don't want to passthrough aspeed 2400 or HD630 to vm I need: 1. working ipmi 2. passedthrough to VM PCI-E GTX1050 3. working intel HD630 in unraid (activate i915 in go file for plex/emby transcoding) Can it be realized on asrock E3C236D4U or some other MB on c236 chipset??

I looked at the manuals from Asrockrack site and not a word there about intel HD graphics, just this: correct if I'm not right If i set primary graphics adapter to onboard (i need it for passthrough), onboard vga option became inactive and i have Aspeed(primary)+Pci-e( vm passthrough) and no HD Graphics! But if i set primary graphics adapter to pci-e, onboard vga option became active and allow to use hd graphics??? Is intel hd graphics works only when primary adapter is pci-e??? my mind is broken %) i look at X11SAE-F

Hi, I recently decided to switch from my mini asrock j4205 box to something bigger ... I think to build on c236 chipset and xeon e3-1225 v6. I want board with ipmi. i want to use intel IGD for plex/emby transcode and passthrough my GTX1050ti for my daily/gaming win 10vm. I can not figure out how three video controller will work (ipmi-aspeed, intel IGD, GTX1050ti)! Suppose I bought a server board with only vga output for ipmi (asrock E3C236D4U), i set onboard primary graphics adapter (aspeed) in bios for passthough my gtx1050. then i will activate i915 in go file....... Will i915 work whith aspeed set primary in bios??? i did tests on my home pc (i5-7400, GTX-1050ti, NO aspeed)! IGD was set as primary in bios, i915 activated in go file for plex, GTX1050ti-passedthrough VM! Everything works perfect, but what will be there if ASpeed video will be primary??? Sorry for my english =)) I'm afraid that I can not simultaneously use intel hd 630 and ipmi aspeed......

i run tiny arock j4205-itx 6 disks. 3disks in array, 1 parity, 2ssd cache pool. 2sata on chipset, 2sata onboard sata-controller + 2sata same pci-e sata controller. As u see there is no powerr in this cpu, only 2000 passmark, but it plays, trasncode 4k hevc 10bit very well, because of intel graphics with full support of 4k UHD hevc 10bit etc decode/encode/transcode..... if you want cpu that support all modern video standarts you should look at kaby-lake series... sorry for my english =) emby/plex working as they should, shortly speaking - any video on any device! hardware transcoding working in docker containers. On my config Plex works slightly better than emby.

100% no clients I decided to start again a second time, deleted everything (share, container, template, appdata folder). Then installed nextcloud container (sqllite)! did not touch any settings, spun down all my disks and began to watch... and now seems that everything fine, disks are not spinning 1 hour... What was the reason I do not understand! the second reinstallation differs from the first one in that I deleted the template. Now i am going to add letsencrypt, will write my result later.... I set up letsencrypt, and everything is seems to be fine. Disk with nextcloud spin down as it should. What exactly was the key i don't know =) maybe template..... omg... after nightly mover spindown stopped working again....

I will clarify a bit, there was a container with 12.0.4, I updated the nextcloud (not the container) to 12.0.5, the update was successful. Spindown work as it should! Next day container was updated, from this moment spindown does not work Then i completly uninstall nextcloud+mariadb+letsencrypt recreated shares, reinstalled containers - no spindown! Tried without mariadb (sqlLite) still no spindown.... =( no spindown on disk with nextcloud share (/mnt/user/nextcloud) and parity... i think it is container issue, not unraid or nextcloud

Hello! I ask for help with a strange problem ... After updating to 12.0.5 nextcloud does not allow the disks to spindown.... this is exactly nextcloud container! I did tests 2 days, with stopped nextcloud container discs spindown as they should! tried a full reinstallation, but problem still exists

Yes ,i run plex/emby server in docker containers all my home clients (web browser, smart tv, phones, tablets, pc......) can play content through native apps or dlna For now i run them both to understand wich works better for me...

Plex (plexpass) and emby (netcore ver.)can do quicksync(intel) decode/transcode in docker containers. u need to activate i915 driver in unraid "go" file.Than and add extra parameters --device /dev/dri:/dev/dri in plex or emby template P.S. on my asrock j4205 both works perfect! emby and plex plays 4k hevc 10bit 400mbps video from here http://jell.yfish.us/ whith 35% cpu util. i missed one thing... i tested transcoding 4k 10bit content in web browser, and on devices thet cant play it natively

Just cleared MS EDGE`s cache and everithing is fine now, no errors, no container crash!!

I can say with confidence that everything works as it should. embyserver_netcore works great on unraid with i915 enabled . Did some heavy transcoding (4k hevc 10bit 400mb jellyfish) worked great ~ 25% CPU util. But what should I do with those errors when using MS EDGE???

I`ll add a dumb question =) When I add variables what value should I enter in KEY field? UID or APP_UID GID or APP_GID GIDLIST or APP_GIDLIST sorry for my nOOwbie question

that's great!!! but the question is how to set up a template? settings are the same as a normal container? just add --device /dev/dri/renderD128 ??

anybody please tell me how to make a working docker template for unraid of embyserver_netcore and make it do hardware transcoding via quicksync... Is this possible? plex docker container works perfect on my asrock j4205 on my unraid 6.4rc21 with activated i915, but I like emby more then plex =)

I will be the third one for the GPU-drivers in OS. Ideally would be a plugin
