  1. I've been working steady for a week now without issue, transferred over 100gb at a time without a shutdown, temperatures appear to be consistent and write speeds are consistent. Thanks to everyone for the help.
  2. thanks Kizer and Pwm. I started a memtest and it quit at 16% on pass one, I took out one stick of ram and repeated the test to have it freeze at 17% of first pass. I then switched out the sticks and I am currently on my third pass with 0 errors. I am holding off on saying this issue is solved until I complete several passes and try running my system with the one stick of memory (8gb should be enough for a 3 drive array I'd think)
  3. Update: I have upgraded the CPU cooler and the case fans, temperatures are consistent around 30C. I still have an issue of the array freezing when writing to the drives and it sometimes freezes when doing the 5hr parity check. Could this be an issue with the memory? a bad CPU?
  4. alright, so I was running Memtest and the computer randomly rebooted after about 10mins of the test. I watched the CPU temperature and it went up to approx 42C and then randomly went right down to 32c and remained there until reboot. something is seriously messed up here. Does anyone have any ideas? bad MB? Bad Memory? processor error? Thank you in advance.
  5. I will keep an eye on CPU Temp while transferring. Thanks Johnnie
  6. Hi All, I am new to Unraid and appear to be having some issues with my NAS system. The system shuts down when writing to the array. I find I dont have the issue if i send 4 or 5 gb at a time but when the amount exceeds 30/40gb the problem arises. I first thought it was a network issue so installed a solid state cache drive for quicker transfer and then I had mover transfer over everything overnight. I found the same issue happening when mover was writing the files to the array overnight. I have changed the power supply to a seasonic focus Plus series 650FX gold rated from my previous EVGA 650w Modular from 2012. This hasnt solved the issue. Does anyone have any ideas as to what may be causing this write error? my current build is as follows: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 Motherboard AMD X8 FX-8320 CPU 16gb G.Skill Ripjaws X series ram 3x 3TB WD Red spin up drives for the array Samsung EVO 500gb SSD for Cache Unraid is running on a 16gm thumb drive and the PSU is the one mentioned above Any comments/suggestions would be helpful. Thanks in advance Skaught1984
