  1. It works with plopkexec.iso. It did not work with plop-bootusb.iso that @ConnectivIT posted above.
  2. unraid definitely "sees" the USB key though.
  3. Ok...made a bit of progress. VMDK, BIOS boot, I passed through a USB controller, with a 6.4.0 USB key. It boots!! I get an IP!! However, I get "Error accessing your physical USB Flash boot device" UEFI boot does not see the USB passthrough. To be contnued...
  4. FYI...I get the same results booting UEFI. I will play around with PLOP and an actual USB later.
  5. unraid on a vmdk boots in like 15 seconds. I really like that. I cant vmotion anyway as I am using hardware passthrough.
  6. I haven't actually done any testing with a USB key yet. I have a VMDK that 6.3.5 was installed on. It booted just fine, and I could access the GUI via the IP in the console. Obviously I couldnt set up an array or anything, but I could at least boot and access the GUI. I upgraded that VMDK to 6.4.0, and it I get the error listed above. I planned on doing some more testing with another USB key today, but for some reason, neither my 2nd or 3rd key are licensed. I own three unraid Pro licenses, so I need to get that worked out first.
  7. Read my post again. There is no network.cfg file. There are no .cfg files at all.
  8. I have 6.4.0 booting in a VMDK, but I get a cannot find device "bond0" error. I do not get this error and everything works as expected on 6.3.5. I need to try it with a passthrough USB next to see if it can read the network.cfg from a USB. Right now /boot/config only contains an ssh folder, but if I mount the VMDK on another VM, there is a network.cfg file. I was looking forward to nginx, so I hope we can get this working. If not, I will live out my days on 6.3.5 as I'm not willing to run unRAID as baremetal right now. That would be a huge waste of resources for me.
  9. "Security". I know, it's BS. That's just the way it is. It sucks because we have even destroyed HP Proliant Gen8s.
  10. The answer is "yes," but, there isn't anything to buy right now. No way am I comfortable enough yet with AMD's latest products to fill my data center with them. Unfortunately, we aren't allowed to sell anything after it has been decommissioned. Everything is physically destroyed.
  11. Fyi...that guy is accepting offers down to $30 per card. I just bought several.
  12. Shortly after it becomes "final." Read through this thread. @zeron does not create new packages for beta releases.
  13. The power supplies in that chassis now (PWS-1K21P-1R) have the "narrow" part that plugs into the PDU. So, yes, the 920SQ should work just fine.
  14. You likely don't need 1200w power supplies. At full tilt, my 3U dual Xeon SuperMicro X9 w/ 16 drives has maxed out at 373 watts. A pair of PWS-920P-SQ should be sufficient. They are on eBay right now for $100/each.
  15. Garland Computer/DFW Computer is local to me, so I have bought quite a bit from them. You may want to ask if they have any of the SQ power supplies that they could substitute.
  16. Are you double sure that you have a C2SEA and not a C2SEE? The "E" is limited to 4GB.
  17. You can try something like this if you dont have a SATA port available. https://smile.amazon.com/Express-Adapter-Circuit-connector-included/dp/B01452SP1O/
  18. That is just a "physical" mount. It does not use PCI-e for power and connectivity. You still have to have a free SATA port and power.
  19. I have a USG Pro and a pfSense, each with a static IP on FiOS.
  20. Thanks. I might play around with this someday. I ended up deploying the NextCloud VM and mapped my unRAID storage to it. Its working just fine with my LDAP users.

    BTRFS

I had serious slowdowns with a single BTRFS cache drive. I re-formatted in it XFS and I havent had a problem since.
  22. By default, it gets auto generated and its in the docker log.
  23. Yes, it should work just like that. I will test it out later. i have only tested it with a VM on a vlan with only internet access, so I cantvreally tell yet. My mom backs up about 30GB to my CrashPlan. I will remote into her laptop this week and set Duplicati up to see how it goes.
