NRF19

Hi all, I bought a pro license for unRAID back in 2011 and stopped using it around 2013 (needs grew and ended up moving to Linux and currently windows server) however my needs have now changed again and having checked out the features of unRAID 6 I think I want to make the move back again, but have a few questions that I'm hoping somebody could help with. 1 - will my 2011 'unRAID Pro' license work with the latest version (6.0) I noticed different price tiers available causing my confusion. 2 - I have lost my original USB stick, I have seen the page on the limetech main page highlighting some USB's I could use, however I was curious as to whether I am limited to just these. I have one of these currently spare, can I use this? I have a backup of my last configuration (4.0) if that's of any help. Edit... 4 - all of my content on the drives I'd like to move to unRAID are currently in NTFS format, will unRAID be able to recognize this or will I need to reformat all of these drives for unRAID to be able to use? the apps are being run on the cache drive, thats not a mounted drive is it?

I recently upgraded from 4.7 to beta 12a and installed everything again (Mysql sabnzbd sickbeard couchpotato etc.) and I read I needed to chmod +rwx the Post Processing scripts for sickbeards processing to work, so I did that and for some reason get this error » PostProcessing was aborted (Cannot create final folder /mnt/Media/TV Series/Entourage.S08E08.720p.HDTV.X264-DIMENSION) I have ran the new permissions script and the directory is correct. I'm not sure what to do. I've attached my Sabnzbd log if that will help. Thanks sabnzbd.zip

it was something much simpler, thanks for the reply though the passwords on my windows accounts were associated to the old version of unraid rather than new, tried accessing on my htpc and it worked after i posted above so just reset my main pc and from there it worked thanks a lot

Okay so I tried to upgrade from 4.7 to 5.12a this morning but failed somewhere, so i wiped my USB stick and copied the new 5.12 folder over ran the make_bootable and plugged back into the server. I've assigned my drives and have installed unmenu and sorted the shares to show as they previously did (Media, Documents etc.) I have also run the permissions script but when I click on my old shares and also the disk1, disk2, disk3, flash and cache shares I get a windows error "\\Tower\Documents refers to a location that is unavailable. It could be on a hard drive on this computer, or on a network. Check to make sure that the disk is properly inserted, or that you are connected to the internet or you network, and then try again. If it still cannot be location, the information might have been moved to a different location." I'm not sure what I've missed here but I can access the files through the shares using the web GUI , i've also reset the server a couple of times. Any help much appreciated Thanks

Every now and again my server just stops running, it is still on so not a hardware fault, basically i cannot access anything from the main web interface to opening a telnet session to it or accessing any of the shares, however i can access unmenu which is where i've managed to grab my system log from. Its been doing this for a while now, once every week, top combat it previously I've just installed a back-up of my usb again and again but its something that keeps working its way back, anyway attached is my syslog hopefully you can help me. Hey, I'm having a problem with Sickbeards post processing using unRAID beta 5.0 8d basically I get this error message Exit(-1) Cannot run script /mnt/cache/.custom/sickbeard/autoProcessTV/sabToSickBeard.py. Somebody said I may need to CHmod the scripts but I'm not sure how to do this, the scripts are also not shown in the drop down boxes on downloading NZB's. Please can somebody help me Thanks

Hey, thanks for the advice, i've set up a static IP but as for the other problem I decided to take the easy way out and go for a clean install of unraid again and start afresh Everythings up and running now, albeit 11 hours after I started. Thanks

okay before giving up for the night I powered on for what must have been the 20th time since 10pm when it began to fail, and its working!!! don't know how or why but hell... anyway I'm going to have to powerdown to move it across the room to its normal home rather then infront of the TV, Standby

Okay so, where to start, I've been trying to set up a centralised database for xbmc using unraid but been failing miserably, this led to me re-booting a lot of times today and got to this current stage where i cannot access my server at all on boot, I've hooked it up to my TV and can get into the command line on the server but only whilst booting can I access it via http://tower/main.htm but after a minute (when the command line becomes available on the server) I am unable to access this, unmenu or anything else. I'll admit I'm a noob and don't really have a clue what I'm doing, which is why I'm here, I've attached the latest log I can find and I'm certain the same problem existed on that time. Can I get this back to booting so I can access it again from my media pc browser or am I best starting from scratch again and if i were to start from scratch (which i feel would be the easiest option by far) would i lose the data on the drives currently in my array (there is no parity disk yet) anyway we'll try start with a fix and move onto that as a worst case scenario I'm using version 4.7 (I think) Thanks in advance syslog-20110706-230004.zip

I've just installed unraid basic on my USB as per the guide and booted onto my main pc so I can find the GUID and order my pro license but I don't know what I'm doing in short I'm met by welcome to Linux 2.6.32.9-unRAID (ttyl) Tower login: From here I'm lost, I've typed root to get in but all I need is guid nothing more I've glanced at FAQ and google searched how to find it and don't know where to go, please help...
