Ends up my bottleneck was the Plex app on my Samsung tv. Luckily I have an Nvidia Shied and it works flawlessly through it

I have an HTPC setup with Asrock Fatality AB350 Gaming-itx-ac Bios 3.60, AMD A8-9600 Processor w/R7 graphics and 8GB of ram. I'm using Unraid 6.8.3 and Plex. When playing a certain video from my htpc I get some jittery or pausing (stop/start) buffering, not playing smoothly. When I play the same video from the web ui of Plex on my MacBook Pro video is fine. Other videos are fine from the server as well any suggestions on why this particular video may be doing this? I use the Plex app on my Samsung Q7 Qled Smart TV and just realized the Unraid plays videos from my HTPC through Ethernet. How Do I get it to play directly from HDMi??

So I would have to move my media folder and all other folders ios-system etc...

Hi guys I want to move all my files from disk 1 4TB to disk 2 3TB. Both are disks on my array without a parity. Then use the 4TB as my parity disk. Do I have to move these files in Krusader or if I use tools and change the array will unraid take care of it for me?

Hi I have logged into my server via the web gui and am doing a preclear on a drive. My question is can I close out my web (safari) while its doing that?

Ok seems like I’m back up and running I removed parity drive then stopped and started the array and then assigned parity drive. Just rebuilding now ?

Had a bad USB managed to copy files from backup via krusader. Re-Mounted my parity drive and data drives. Says rebuilding parity and data shows unmountable no file system?? What the heck is going on now??

Hey guys I’m still having issues with my unraid setup. I used the web UI to shut down my system and then when I turned it back on the next day it wouldn’t boot into the OS. I have bios updated and set to only run from USB. I’m using a USB drive with an Asus Q87T slim itx motherboard in a perfect home theatre case. Any help would be appreciated

So I should always use GUI to shutdown and or setup timers with dynamix sleep? what if house power goes out? Will I need to reset USB again?

Hi I setup my unraid HTPC and installed Plex to run at startup. unplugged everything and brought to my sons as it was for him. when I got it there it would not recognize the usb. I checked bios settings, no bios features were changed. So I removed usb and ran Mac.exe file on it again and then it worked. Will I have to do this if it looses power again?

hey Patan77 I'm an unRAID noobee and after you install and add Plex can you access Plex from a smart tv on your network with the Plex app from the tv? I just want to use my server for my home theatre and don't wish to use another (kodi) box or any other devices just my tv and server.
