Hello, have been away for some time on a samll vacation. And my server has been offline. I booted it up today and saw it had an update from 6.5.3 -> 6.3.5 so like I always do, I install the update. And everything seems just fine. After some time I come back to the WebGUI (never closed the tab) and it keeps saying Syncing or something. I did that for about 2 - 3 hours. Thought it was weird so I refresh the tab. And everything seemed fine except I could not load the Update OS section at all. And some of my cores was running at 100% even without any dockers or VM's running on them. So after some time (about 4 hours - after the first 2/3 hours - so about 6 or 7 in total) I wanted to try and reboot the server.. I have tried many times to access the webgui, but with no luck. So I just hit the power down button, and it made it's shutdown sound. But it keeps running. And is still running after 20 minutes now. Have no idea what to do. And really don't want to hold down the power button for a force shutdown Any ideas what to do? Best regards, Mads

Have been reinstalling my browser on a new VM (was switching VM anyways) and noticed before reinstalling, that my uBlock plugin in chrome was doing some weird stuff. I could not selective block an element and some other stuff. But after the reinstall of a new VM and doing all my browser extensions again, the image shows up. So even tho i whitelisted the entire page before just like now in uBlock it shows up. Don't know what happend to uBlock for it to act up so weird Sorry for the inconvenience I have made!

Hello squid, Have rebooted the server recently, right now it has only been online for about 10 hours. So a reboot did not work and clearing all browser data (cookies, images, history and so on) did not work either. ? Best regards!

Will try to find a other sata cable then. So I can safely just stop they array, add the disk back in, and start it again. And it should rebuild the array for me, right? ? Thanks for the quick responses!

To my eyes the smart report don't seem to show anything bad. But i'm not that good at at reading them either lol. Maybe it was just my controller taking a little dump or something. But have this happend before. Is it because the other disks power down while one is still running / getting data from steam downloads? Have all the steam data on Disk 1.. Is it better if I use the unbalance plugin to scatter the folders across the other disk also? Or does that even give me and better performance when reading files from large games? Best regards!

Even tho I have removed the disk from the array, so it says no disk installed? Have even power on the array again after removing it. As this is pretty much been my main machine for the past months now

Was thinking about maybe moving all the data to disk 2 - and maybe shutdown the server after, and try and change the cables? But don't really know what else to do. So hope some smart people in here could give me a helping hand ?

Hello guys, Was surfing on youtube, when i suddently got an notification on prowl about my array, and went straight into the Main dashboard on the server. And my drive (Disk 1) had and red cross on it and said content was being emulated. This happend while I was downloading updates from stream, so I know their has been written data to the location after the disk went "offline" - I tried following the troubleshoot guide on the wiki here - but the disk don't show up in the dropdown menu at all. Only my 1.5 TB unassigned HDD. But is show as listed under the unassigned devices. Have tried to run the smart test command listed above in the wiki, but with no luck. What should I do? No one knows what I can do? Have tried the acs path override and some of these functions also: vfio-pci.ids=13f6:0111 pci-stub.ids=13f6:0111 pcie_acs_override=id:8086:244e pcie_acs_override=downstream and with the downstream,multifunction also I'm totally out of ideas at this point.

Hello, I have been trying to passthough my sound card for some time now, and have tried some different things now. But first something about my MB and the card: I'm rocking a AsRock EP2C602 MB, and have a StarTech.com 5.1 Channel PCI Surround Sound Card Adapter - have tried to isolate the card with the: vfio-pci.ids=13f6:0111 command, with no luck (If I don't try to isolate it, it will not even show up as a device option under my VM editing) - I have the soundcard mounted in the "white" slot on my MB (look at the link), as it's the only one free and the only slot where the PCIe notch is the otherway. But when I try to start a VM after isolating the soundcard I get this error. Is it because the card is in a IOMMU group with a PCI bridge or?

So the memory is bad like it needs to be replaced or? Can't I just go out from the log in unraid that it DIMM 0?

Do I need to look at the SEL logs, or can it maybe be fixed just by rebooting? Kinda wish I still had the manual under my bed, but put it in the basement in the box and now a lot of stuff is on top of it -.-

Oh, how do i check the system event log or post it? Do want do fix this problem if I can, or contact the seller who sold me the ram, as its "kinda" new, but still used. Is it only DIMM 0 throwing errors? I have tried to spam though the syslog.1 and syslog.2 and it looks like it only is Channel: 0 DIMM: 0 throwing out errors.

Have tried to open the log, from the log button on the Web GUI, and left it loading for almost an hour, but nothing ever came up. :-(

Hello guys, I know some of you leave you're servers on for maybe months before restarting or something. I left my server on when I was away, for some download and hosting of VM's for a friend. But not the "fix commen problems plugin" says my log os almost at 100% usage - and a reboot would fix this temporary, but I do wanna fix this permanetly. After a lot of searching on the great big internet, i have fallen over this dude's docker containers on the docker hub: sonarr and radarr with mp4 automator build in, where the config file, is outside the container, to easily make changes to it when u need. Just wanted to give an update if anyone wants to use it also. Its way faster to transcode .mkv files to .mp4 with this than handbrake Have a great day all!

I'm not using portainer on unraid. I have an Ubuntu VM running with a script called plexguide - that makes it easy to automate movies and tv show downloading with nzget, sonarr, radarr and so on, and support 3 torrent downloaders and so on. It really awesome! And u can do encrypted syncing of your plex data to the cloud, and host all your media there. It can be setup in like 30 minutes. Have been testing it for little over a week now - and is so much easier than manually deploying dockers in unraid. But if I download something on my private torrent tracker, most of the bluray rips and so on are in .mkv format. And sickbeard automator, can intercept the completed download from the torrent program, convert it, and pass it back to sonarr/radarr after for renaming and the final uploading to the cloud. But sickbeard aint made to use in dockers, because they are missing the dependencies for ffmpeg and so on :-( EDIT: My plan with this was too buy a dedicated server, to have this script hosted, as I don't have to run my main computer 24/7 with open ports and so on to the internet. + my internet connection is waaaaaay to slow, for watching outside my home network. This is the main reason why I wanna host it outside my network (sadly)
