  1. Yeah I have found a dockerfile that has all the commands RUN and so on to install the sickbeard automator and ffmpeg and so on. But don't really know how to deploy it with a docker manager called portainer
  2. Oh I thought that i could just install them from the terminal. My bad.. But its about; sonarr, radarr and deluge. sonarr and radarr use this docker container: suitarr and deluge this: deluge - but how does it work with a script vs pulling the image and changing the dockerfile? I'm trying to add, something to a container, that is based on those dockers but have already some additional information from a main.yml file? Just to maybe make it a bit easier to follow me. I'm trying to modifying a script from this github (plexguide) - and wanted to add sickbeard mp4 automator to the three dockers, so I can transcode my files to .mp4 for direct stream to chromecast. I know I could use HandBreak, but I have tested it a bit, and the automator script is ALOT faster in my testing. sometimes up to an hour I have tried to just link to the sickbeard folder, but that doesn't work, as the docker don't have the needed dependencies. So I was trying to get docker sonarr dockerfile in the containers, but have failed so hard. Have been trying all day, and I have no clue what to do or where to start. :-( I hope i'm not to in the right direction, that would be great. But since this is my first time, trying to modify a docker, is really hard to understand
  3. Hello guys, I have been trying to find some information online about installing dependencies into an already working/running docker. I would like to have sickbeard mp4 automator, to transcode my file from sonarr and radarr to .mp4 file for direct play stream to a chromecast. But I have tried so many different things I found online, but haven't gotten anything to work. And then i thought, the community here is so large and great, that someone much know how I can do this the easiest way Best regards, Brydezen
  4. Hmmmm, I could live with the drive failing doing rebuild, the data is kinda important, as it has all my games, movies and ISOs, but its nothing i cant "rebuild" over time, by redownloading it all again. So I think I'm just gonna rebuild the drive as is EDIT: I did as provided in the re-enable the drive link, and it says the parity / drive is being reconstructed - thank you SOOOO much for the help! But danm 16 hours to rebuild, that is a looong time just because of a bad SATA cable but if U have the time for it, would u not mind taking a look at my Disk 3 (ST31500S41AS_6XW0BBNY) Its an oooold drive from an external drive enclosure where the PCB was bad, and non function for the drive. But it works now in my array, precleared and tested it a bit before adding it. But some of the SMART indicators does "light up" Like the Reallocated sector count and Reported uncorrect. And again thank U so much!
  5. If the drive is fine, but was just the SATA cable messing with me, then I will just rebuild to the same disk. But how do I do it? And do you think it's a bad idea? I got a 2.5" harddrive from my laptop, i'm not really using anymore, but its only 1TB compared to this 3.5" that is 4TB :-( What do you think would be the best solution, and what solutions do I got?
  6. I just changed the sata cable to a different one, but now it still says the disk is not installed, but it shows up under unassigned devices, with the same drive letter sde as it had in the array. U even used the same port it was in before New diagnostics uploaded for latest boot. tower-diagnostics-20180206-1224.zip
  7. So u are just suggesting to use the same power and sata cable, but from a different port on the mb? And is it safe, if i take one from a working one and just swap these two when i shutdown and power up the server again? Isn't it bad if the array suddenly thinks two drives are missing?
  8. But is that safe? Don't unraid complain if I just switch SATA cables from another drive? When I maybe will miss two drives in the array? And all my data is lost? I can take the harddrive out, and out it on the same power cable as my ssd, it got it's own cable. And got some spare sata cables laying around, is it not safer to just use a "new" sata cable? Sorry for all the questions, you are a champ for helping me out here! I'm pretty lost, and sad about this drive failing on me :-(
  9. I found the drive, didn't really think of that it would be labeled (stupid me) but I followed the SATA cable, and it still sits in tight like all the other disks. And when I lay my hand on it, sure feels like it is still spinning - so it must get power? So maybe its the SATA cable that went bad? Or do u recommend to also change the power cable? The drive is between two other drives. My parity drive is the one above it, and Disk 2 is the one underneath it
  10. I have the same of power cable for all my hard drives? And as I dont know what drive is what. then I don't know what drive to try and replace the power cable or sata cable for :-( EDIT: Could I maybe try and spin down the other drives, to see what drive is installed where in my mount brackets?
  11. I tried to reboot in the hopes that, it had just gone offline - but not it says the drive is not installed :-( I know it not a Marvell controller issue, my motherboard has some of the controllers, but is not used for any of my drives, as I ran into issues with it on the second day of using unraid but anyways here are the new diagnostics after a reboot :-) tower-diagnostics-20180206-0929.zip EDIT: How can I test what drive is installed here? I may be thinking about labeling them for "easy" replacement of cables or so on for later. Would like to first of all maybe replace the SATA cable just to see if that is the issue - i just really hope no other of my drives is going to fail soo. Don't wanna read or write anything to my array right now
  12. Hello guys, Just got some bad news on my Prowl app, as I was watching tv. One of my disks - the first one I got, besides the parity disk, the disk that still holds almost ALL my data just got an read error on it. Now there is a red X and the text "Device disabled, content emulated" when I hold the mouse over. I just started a parity check, I don't know if that will fix anything - and I have to sleep right now, school tomorrow sadly. Hope it wasn't a bad decision to start a parity check. And hope to hear from someone real soon hopefully before I go to bed :-( EDIT: btw it's disk 1 that says it got an read error. Here are my diagnostics. Best regards, a sad "new" unraid user :-( tower-diagnostics-20180206-0206.zip
  13. but the process of setting up the key seems a bit much for some people. And then U have to backup the key somewhere, and if U are on the road, and forgot or dropped the usb stick then U are in very bad luck. And that fail2ban method seems so easy to implement if u don't want the long process of setting up an ssh key and storing it somewhere safe. Best regards, Brydezen
  14. Is there some kind of implementation for limiting the numbers of failed ssh password attempts and maybe ban an IP from trying anymore? I fall over this little article/guide on using a tool called fail2ban, this is listing for failed ssh attempts and permanently ban them from trying any more :-D This seems like a feature that we really need, as he states in the post; I just mean, why would anyone from China need to ssh into my server for other things than to do something evil?
  15. @dlandon it's an old external hard drive that I took out of the box it was in, as I didn't really use it, and would like so more storage space on my server. So it had a lot of old junk data i didn't need anymore. :-D but i'm not sure if a disk is cleared from factory. As I said, i'm on my second month with unraid. And i didn't even know that their was no need for the preclear plugin @bonienl I found out. Kinda awesome I don't need the plugin after all! Even tho it was nice having the option to stop and start the clearing/reading in the preclear pluing. If i need to quickly restart the server for some reason. But a little off topic: I got an ASRock EP2C602 MB and in the BIOS it does say I can boot from the UEFI USB but just wanna be totally sure. Is it safe to enable UEFI boot then? Would be nice to clear the USB port on the back of the IO shield for something else :-)
  16. i found out when the array went online - but thats just how it is then! Now I got a good reason to stay up late hahah
  17. Yeah when it works hahahaha - touché - Oh thought it would take hours, as the preclear plugin take hours on each step :-O Gonna try it out now then brb
  18. So that is one advantage that the preclear plugin has, U can stop and start it as u please, that is kinda awesome. So one last question, how long do U think it will take unraid to clear a disk of 2TB? - if it takes 5 hours like the prereading in preclear, I think I will wait until tomorrow to add it :-D
  19. Oh, so I can just take the array offline, but in the new disk, and take the array online again, and unraid will clear the disk for me without the plugin, and i will still be able to power up my vms? that is kinda sweet if that's the case. But can I turn off the machine also, or does the clearing process have to complete in one go, when adding it to the array? Best regards, Brydezen
  20. I know they are cleared when adding them to the array, but then the array has to be offline for the entire period while the one disks clears? And that kinda suck, as it's hosting my VM for daily use :-(
  21. Nooot exactly sure what u are referring too, this is my second month with unraid :-( and do U know how to run the script from the terminal? not sure but found something in: /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/preclear.disk/script/preclear.sh and preclear_disk.sh but have no clue how it works, don't just wanna run it. Don't want to lose disks or anything
  22. Yeah, I just read that on the plugin thread for preclear. But how do I run it with the script tho? And do I get any indication on when it's done?
  23. Hello guys, I had a preclear running on an old hard drive I had laying around, and thought I would put it to some good use. So I hooked it up to my server and started the preclear app for the drive, and it ran just fine, was on step 3 of 6 (Zeroing) and I got a notification about the 6.4.1 OS update. So I stopped the preclear on my disk, and went ahead and updated the OS. After the reboot, I ofc tried to start up the preclear again, but it gives me no information, about the temp, FS or options to mount the drive. I can't click to format button (nothing happens) and if I click the preclear icon all the information I labeled as; undefined I looked in my USB boot folder under the preclear plugin, and there is still a resume file for my drive? Can someone guide me what to do? I would like for the preclear to resume from before the update. But if I have to start over, then I will do that, no problem! Hope to hear from some of the intelligent minds in here! EDIT: I found out that, I had to enable an option under the unassigned devices tool in settings. (Settings > Unassigned Devices > Destructive Mode and set it to Enabled.) now the drive is formated to xfs, and I can mount it and share it over the network. But the preclear tool is still not starting and still says the drive info is undefined. :-( Best regards, Brydezen
  24. I keep getting a connection to server error when trying to sign in on the app store? I already own a mac, and know my account is working. And i didn't type the password wrong either. :-( followed the guide for high sierra on point
  25. Hi lime-tech great community! Got an AsRock EP2C602 motherboard, with two ethernet connectors and a IPMI port. The two ethernet ports, are located in two different IOMMU group, but got the same id. Could I maybe passthtough one ethernet and the ipmi port for pfsense to use as wan and lan connections? IOMMU groups: IOMMU group 21 [8086:10d3] 08:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82574L Gigabit Network Connection IOMMU group 23 [8086:10d3] 0b:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82574L Gigabit Network Connection lspci command from ssh connection: 08:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82574L Gigabit Network Connection 0b:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82574L Gigabit Network Connection lspci-n command from ssh connection: 08:00.0 0200: 8086:10d3 0b:00.0 0200: 8086:10d3 If this is not and option, can anyone maybe recommend a got PCIe NIC for my server without costing the white out of my eyes. With preferably 4 ports 10 GB/s so the card is kinda future prof for some time? :-D
