  1. Hey all - I am having some issues setting up the initial Grafana data source. I followed this guide How to setup Grafana, InfluxDB and Telegraf to monitor your unRAID system. | Technical Ramblings With this post arguments in telegraf - (which is the one for telegraf:alpine repository) /bin/sh -c 'apk update && apk add smartmontools && apk add lm-sensors lm-sensors-detect perl && apk add nvme-cli && apk add ipmitool && telegraf' Everything went along fine until i got to he part where I was adding the data source in grafana. All dockers are up and running, however, when I try to attach, I get the error below. I think it's authentication related. I used the password in the telegraf.conf file (metrics......). I also tried it with the default info as well as the info in the guide (which I am aware is not complete). Can anyone give me a little help? The frustrating part is, I got this working last year and it was cool. Now, I am looking to use it with my energy monitoring system and its not working : / Thanks all
  2. Hey All - somehow this morning, my Sonarr is prompting for a username and password. The problem is, I have never established one. Is there some way that I can open that back up without starting from scratch?
  3. I was able to get everything operational from the backup. There were a few appdata files that had the wrong permissions for some reason. I assume it was the result of a partial balance. I archived the appdata and rebuilt the directory from the backup. Once the backup was complete, I pushed the right permissions through all the files. Once everything looked good there, I added my docker containers back in from templates. All is good!
  4. The drive I was using to balance actually failed. I removed it from the pool and went back to just a single cache drive. I'm struggling to restore everything back with CA backup. I have the tar file from the backup, however, the restore appdata tab on CA backup doesn't show a backup set in the directory where the tar file exists. I posted in the ca backup support forum to try to get some help. Is there an easy way just to wipe everything and start over on unraid without wiping all my media on the disks? Every time I've reinstalled plex, it still won't come up after i configure it.

  6. here is where everything is my appdata is /mnt/user/appdata the backup file is /mnt/user/appdata/CA_backup.tar What command would I type to untar and replace the appdata path?
  7. The backup is saved as a .tar, do I need to untar it then copy? I ended up copying the whole tar file over to appdata.
  8. I still have the V1, i didn't realize there was an update. I am having issues restoring from backup. My server had a cache drive problem and crashed mid way through a recovery and it pretty much wiped out a bunch of dockers, my vm's etc... I do have a backup that I'm trying to deploy from last monday and I see it in the location it should be and the restore tab says "No backup settings have already been defined. You must set those settings before you are able to restore any backups". It says 'no backup sets found', however I can see one right there and I pulled it off the server to confirm validity and its all good. Is there a way to force CA backup to recognize the backup set so I can continue on?
  9. Hi All, My cache drive was running out of space, it was around 80% utilized and I decided to add in another drive and create a pool in single (jbod) mode. I followed instructions in one of spaceinvaders vids. The existing cache drive is 256gb, new drive is 500gb. Everything went find with the balance command once I added the new drive and I spot checked some dockers and a VM to make sure all was good. I discovered last night that my plex image was failing. I tried to reinstall the image, the image successfully was reinstalled, however, the same problem occurs. I have attached the diags from the server, let me know if there is something that sticks out that I can fix. Thanks for the help galactus-diagnostics-20200201-0929.zip
  10. It's set to single. I just discovered the my plex dock is also messed up. I can reinstall it fine but I can't get to plex.
  11. Now I'm having a different issue. I expanded my cache drives to include another disk in jbod. That all went well and everything is functioning outside of macinabox. I got to a point where I was just going to start from scratch with the macinabox docker and I can't delete it or the VM. I get 'server execution error'. Thoughts?
  12. I was able to get my ram/cpu settings pushed through, all is good there. However, when I boot it up, sometimes it goes into MAC recovery mode. Is there something I need to do to the xml to bypass that? It essentially goes to the installation screen where you hit enter to boot to the MAC recovery. Thanks!
  13. what I like: the hypervisor capability what can be worked on: support for more RAID cards, more capabilities for the different VM's you can run such as ability to run next gen firewalls easily.
  14. Installed catalina, followed the video exactly. I started the vm after changing the CPU count (and deleting the line from the instructions) and display got very strange. See attached.
