  1. After a bit of time, I am happy to report that I unraid has not crashed once. Fixing that drive was the key. It is much snappier now as well. I appreciate everyone's help. I'll report back if anything else happens.
  2. Hi all - i have a strange issue with minecraft that's occurred. I setup 2 proxy hosts for 2 seperate minecraft server instances I have running (using crafty 4). It worked great for a couple of days and I am having a few issues now. When I access any of my previous working proxy hosts, it sends me to the same minecraft server instance regardless of the address. Krafty 4 appears to be working as I can connect to each individually on my internal network and using the external address with the port referenced. I tried to add a brand new proxy host and it still points to that same server as the previous ones I created. I did a couple dnsflushes in an attempt to troubleshoot. Are there other things I can do in order to troubleshoot? I'm at a loss. I should mention that when I tested the new proxy address, i setup a new cname on my domain registar.
  3. I'll install it tonight and migrate it prior to my little dudes getting home from school. They were not pleased with the downtime to replace the cache drive today. They made a bunch of plans with friends, so i'll have to establish a change window haha. Thanks for all the help! I've noticed the server being much snappier now that the problem drive is gone.
  4. Should I use the binhex craft 4 or the regular?
  5. If I use crafty 4, would I be able to migrate their existing world into it?
  6. Hi - it turns out my problems have been due to the drive going bad! I have a new drive in hand, just waiting for an app to get copied back to unraid that was backed up. I was able to restore the minecraft instance from my CA backup and my sons and their friends are happy! They spent weeks building whatever they built. I have another question - I made this server accessible via WAN and setup port forwarding rules on my router. They asked if I could create another server for them in survival mode. Is there a way to do this with this docker? Do I need to run another instance of it and have my sons friends connect in from an alternate port? Thanks!
  7. Excellent! I am replacing the drive now. Thank you! I'll report back if this fixes it after a couple of weeks. I think it will.
  8. Rutherford - Thanks for the response. That's a ton of good information. I had a full backup with CA a couple of days ago, I'm un-tarring it now and i'll restore unifi and minecraft and see where that gets me. I think you are right about the drives, I know my SSD is a cheapo vaseky I bought and probably should never have been put into service. If I change the Appdata share over to Yes-cache vs. only cache, would that have recovered the appdata files? To your point about diagnostic data, I created a thread in the general support forum to try and figure out what's been happening. I think this minecraft issue/drive issue is related. 9. Hi all, i'm running the latest docker and have had my kids using this server for about 3 weeks. I had them log on today and it appears to be a brand new world, they don't have admin privileges etc... The game is set to backup every 12 hours, plus I have a utility that backs up appdata. Is there a way to recover their world? I think my cache drive is failing. I had to reboot unraid because there was a share I couldn't access (this happens a lot) and I noticed that the array wouldn't start and that one of my cached drives needed to be added into the pool. I added the drive and it forced me to format it. My appdata is set to cache only, it looks like my cache pool got cleared out. I have other apps that didn't reset, like PMS/radarr/sab... however, Unifi controller did get reset. What a pain. Right now I am restoring unifi and minecraft from my CA appdata backups and hoping that clears the way.
  10. I pulled it from the flash. Thanks for the help!syslog Full
  11. I'm not sure how to do that, I'll look it up. The one I attached was just from the http://unraid/logs/syslog link. I'll figure it out and reattach. Thanks!
  12. syslog Uploaded syslog file attached. When it rebooted this morning, the file system didn't mount and the cache pool had to be reenabled by selecting one of the drives. I also had to format it. I'm wondering if one of the two disks in the cache pool are giving me issues. Usually when I problem arises, I know about it from my access to shared drives from unraid. In this case, I wasn't able to download anything. I logged on to unraid and was going to do use the fix permissions tool as this has happened before and a reboot brought eveyrthing back. Let me know if anyone can gain insight on my problem. Thanks!
  13. I have enabled the syslog server and i'll post it after the next crash.
  14. galactus-diagnostics-20230124-1449.zipHey all - I am having some trouble with my unraid server and I need some help troubleshooting. I'm not sure where to start, given how it is behaving. Every few weeks, the SMB mappings just stop, that usually alerts me to the server being inaccessible. I usually have to run down and reboot it. Sometimes the interface is accessible, most the time it is not. In all cases, a reboot has been able to fix it. I had some issues with the cache drive being full, i fixed that a few month ago, but the problem persists. I don't see anything meaningful in the log of unraid, I don't see any failures in the DRAC. Are there some diagnostics that I can start with in order to try and get this corrected? It may be hardware related and just plain ready to die. Thanks all!galactus-diagnostics-20230124-1449.zip
