  1. Confused with pending sectors warning

    Hello, I added a new 8TB disk to my array. Not long after that, during one of the monthly parity checks, I got a notification of 24 pending sectors on this disk. However, after running an extended SMART self-test check, I got the "completed without error" message. What that means? Should I trust the SMART self-test check? Was the pending sector warning a false alarm during the parity check? Thanks!
