Hey, I'm trying to install plex media server. However when I try to boot into Plex it shows this through the web GUI: This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. You're right I think... how do I get transmission to stop seeding after its completed? Hey I've downloaded and installed CP with Transmission. Everything is working well apart from that old files aren't getting deleted. Transmission downloads to: /mnt/user/media/new and CP copies them to: /mnt/user/media/movies Everything is getting renamed and copied but the original files aren't being deleted. I've googled about and people say its to do with permissions OR who is running the program. I sat it to nobody in both apps and I've just changed them to root. I'm going to see if this fixes it. Has anyone had similar problems and have a fix?

Hey, I want to upgrade my system. I currently have: 1x2TB Parity 4x2TB Storage 1x250GB Cache 1x spare slot for an extra HDD I want to expand into the 4TB territory. Can unraid support 4TB drives? If so, how do I do this? I want to basically install a new 4TB to the unraid as parity. Then I want to install a new 4TB as storage. Then I want to use the OLD 2TB as new storage. therefore expanding my array by 6TB. How long will this process take?

okay sorted it I hope.... my new problem is I cannot delete anything from any of my drives. it says I don't have the permission to do so (this is from my windows machine). i'm currently running "new permissions" but is there any other fix?

Okay, I'm ready to upgrade from 4.7 to 5.0 .. Couch Potato is not pretty much not working at all so I'm hoping an upgrade will get that working. Also I'd love to be able to use torrents through the unraid server. How exactly do I upgrade? I've read a few threads but I'm looking for very simple instructions. I have a basic rig with 6 Harddrives (1 cache, 1 parity, 4 2TB for storage). How long will the process take? Do I need my liscence key or is everything on the USB? (i can barely remember how I setup unraid, its been so long). Also I do NOT have a monitor attached to the server. Is this a problem or not? (last time I remember needing to type stuff in to setup the IP address and internet). I need to: 1. Upgrade 2. Install/Reinstall: -Sabnzbd -Couch Potato -Sickbeard -Transmission -Headphones Is this all possible without a monitor to the server? (i.e. I have to depend on being able to SSH into the server from my windows desktop).

hey someone basically shutdown my unraid server from the mains plug so an improper shutdown. i replugged it and restarted it and now its stuck on the web gui "mounting" i then restarted the router and the server and now its not loading the web gui. any fixes please?

hey guys, im willing to upgrade atlast to 5.0 because 4.7 is limiting me from the couch potato side of things. what do i need to do to make sure this transition is flawless? im really apprehensive because honestly i have everything working properly apart from CP! is this a 1/2 hour job to do the upgrade or longer? if someone can provide me with some good easy advice on getting SB, CP, sab up and running on 5.0, it owuld be much appreciated. my biggest concern is my server does not have a monitor connected to it so i am relying heavily on the serving being able to connect via my ethernet and everything play nicely so i can telnet in and fix anything which might go wrong from the import. thank you for your time and any advice u can give! also my apps are all on the cache drive and from what i've read its hard to do this with hidden folder removal on 5.0?

personally i'd reccomend just buying a htpc. a 1080p htpc can run for £99 if u pick ur time wisely and will be very small form factor and portable.

okay i connected my unraid server to my windows HTPc... how do i access the files? i connected them through ethernet. i cannot see the shares or tower. do i have to set DHCP on or off? how do i connect to the shares?

I have a BT homehub, Sky Broadband router and a Netgear Virgin Media one. The BT homehub who is our ISP works fine with the unraid box. However, using the Sky broadband and Netgear ones make both my windows PC and Mac unable to connect to it. I type ifconfig eth0 and the IP shown is 192.168.1.64 but entering it into a browser on either machine does not work. I've tried turning DHCP on.. and also setting a static IP. no success. any help please? (preferably through editing files whilst on the unraid machine rather than through the browser).
