    1.  Disable Docker

    2. Delete docker.img and recreate it with a 20GB size

    3. Enable Docker

    4. Go to the Apps tab (Community Applications) and select Previous Apps from the menu in the upper left.

    5. Your previously installed docker containers will appear there and you can reinstall them

Note: they will retain all the settings with which they were configured at the time you deleted docker.img

This worked perfectly.  Thanks so much for the help

  2. Ok from that I think I found the issue.  The Container size of my Zoneminder is 9.06 GB.  I don't think it is growing anymore as it is routed to a unassigned device but there might be some stuff left over from awhile ago.  What is the best way to get rid of of this stuff without messing up the application settings.  It took me awhile to get everything dialed in and would hate to lose all my settings.

I know these are probably pretty simple answers but it is helping me out quite a bit.

  3. Ok I think that makes sense to me but I am still wrapping my head around it a little.  So is there any easy way to check what application is mapped incorrectly?  I have deluge as well but rarely use it and I think it is mapped correctly.  Just having trouble figuring out where the issue is exactly.

Database files in appdata folders have no impact on the size of the docker.img file. Deleting them will not reduce the size of the docker.img.  You undoubtedly have one or more docker containers misconfigured in such way that data that should be stored in folders on the array, an unassigned disk, etc. is instead being stored in the docker image file.  Check all you docker volume mappings and the actual application settings.

    Common culprits are file downloaders.

I feel like I have done this.  I have my Windows PC setup to scan the appdata folder to see which applications were taking up the most space.  I found out that it was my Home Assistant and Resilio-Sync which were mapped /mnt/user/appdata/..... so I changed it to /mnt/user/Media/..... which is on the array.  They were both over 6GB each and changing these had no impact on the docker image percent.  Obviously I am still missing something.

  5. I don't know if this has to do with 6.8.0-rc5 but my Docker Image seems to be filling up and deleting large files from the appdata folder didn't seem to have any impact.  I am sure I am doing something wrong but I am up to 80% full and I have gone through my applications and made sure the ones that were taking up the most space due to .db files were located on the array.  My docker image is 40 GB and my appdata folder size is only 10.1 GB.  I will post my diagnostics in hopes that this will help.

  6. I am trying to reduce the amount of data that is in my docker image as it seems to be filling up. My resilio-sync is taking up 12 GB which is way too much. Not sure why this is happening or what to do to fix it. I have the

    --log-opt max-size=50m --log-opt max-file=1

option in to reduce my log size already. My /sync path is /mnt/user which could be the problem but not sure how to get around this. I have data in /mnt/user/appdata that I want to sync and also /mnt/user/Media I want to sync so if I put any more information in the path I wont be able to get to the other folder

    Any advice?

  7. I am trying to get Home-Automation-Bridge to work but can't seem to get it connected with Home-Assistant.  It won't recognize any of my devices anymore.  I had it working awhile ago but then for some reason (updates I am sure) it is no longer recognizing any of my devices in Home Assistant.  I was hoping to get some help on here.

will do. I've currently got 2 servers giving the error making them unaccessible. but one is preclearing a 10tb disk. the other has ssh disabled... so I'll have to replicate the situation on the non-preclearing server tomorrow (after enabling ssh)

I think i might have something similar going on but I could never figure out what was making it happen.  A lot of mornings I am finding that I lose access to the Web GUI with a 504 error right before I do a backup.  I can still access with SSH and my files are still shared but I can't reboot or even post diagnostics.  I have to do a reboot with the power button and then it has to do a parity check which is not fun.   I have had it happen the past 2 nights but it has seemed to be going on for a month and has happened a couple of times.

Looks like you downloaded (or copied / pasted the script) into Notepad, and you've lost the correct line endings.

Just download the script as is and save it, or alternatively load it into CA Config File Editor and switch the line endings or load it into Notepad++ and under Edit change the EOL to Unix

That worked perfectly.  I saved it with Notepad++ when I first tried it but the EOL to Unix is what fixed it.  Thank you.

  10. I am trying to run the Joe L preclear script inside this plugin however whenever I click on Start Preclear I am taken to a screen and I select the Joe L. scrip ad the Clear Operation and 3 Cycles and Default Read Size and Default Write Size but I get an error:

    /boot/config/plugins/preclear.disk/preclear_disk.sh -c 3 /dev/sdd

-bash: /boot/config/plugins/preclear.disk/preclear_disk.sh: /bin/bash^M: bad interpreter: No such file or directory

Not sure what I did wrong.

  11. i have woke up two times since this happened to find the same issue. i am thinking something is going on here but dont know the best way to troubleshoot it. i cant restart without pressing the button on the pc. also i cant download the diagnostics unless i restart the pc. i have clicked on the logs tab and attached what i am seeing. any advice would be great

  12. So today I noticed that my unassigned devices were not showing up on the Unraid GUI and I was unable to access my shares so I stopped my array and nothing seemed to happen so I closed my browser and tried logging back and I got a GUI 504 Time-out error and I can't seem to login to the GUI at all and none of my shares are accessible however I am able to ssh into the device.  However when I run diagnostics it seems to start working however I have let it sit and all that it ever says is Starting diagnostics collection...  I have let it sit for over 30 min and nothing happens.  I have looking in the flash/logs folder and no new diagnostics files were made.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  13. I already have a SSD as a cache drive. I am adding a NVME M2 device for additional space mainly for VMs but maybe some other things as well. What is the best way to mount this as a cache drive or as an unmounted device. What are the advantages/disadvantages of each

Unraid will keep an eye on it. You should setup Notifications so Unraid can let you know.

They are setup.  This is how I knew it was disabled the first time.  Also I know this is a little off topic but you mentioned my docker image being 40G and that 20G should be plenty.  I went through and looked at which containers were taking up the most space and it looks like home assistant is taking up 3.17G and resilio-sync is taking up 6.63G.  Everything else seemed fair size wise.  Any thoughts on what might setup wrong with these?  I would like to get them corrected if possible.

The problem with that statement is that unraid parity requires ALL remaining disks to be perfectly healthy to accurately reconstruct a failed disk. So, if you were to have one of your disks that DOES have some important unexpectedly fail, unraid would be unable to rebuild it if this dodgy disk doesn't perform.

Ok so what do I need to do to rebuild the disk.  I was thinking that since I had 2 parity disks I was able to have 2 disks go bad at the same time and still be able to rebuild them without losing anything.  I have yet to have to rebuild a disk yet so I am not quite sure the correct way to do this.

  16. I am sure there was an unclean shutdown earlier.  I don't really have a spare disk at this time to rebuild to so probably the same disk.  I don't mind buying one if this is going keep happening with this disk.  I honestly don't have anything real important on this disk at this time so I am not too worried about losing anything.  I have some backups of VMs and my photo database but they are backups so if I need to redo I should be ok.

  17. Here is a screenshot of the attributes. yes i know the docker size is probably too big but i do have issues with it filling up. not sure what i have set wrong. i use home assistant and influxdb and mariadb which are the only ones that i can think of that may grow so i am sure it is one of those.
