  1. Ok - I am assuming this has something to do with the mover... Yep.. disabled cache drive, and it went away. Thanks.
  2. I have an issue where any folder\file that I create on my cache drive is then created as a share within unraid... and vice-versa. Example: I have a share called "TV".. If I create a folder within that share, the same thing is created on my cache drive. Anything inside that folder gets duplicated as well. If I delete one, the other is deleted as well. The same goes for the opposite when creating a folder on the share drive a new share is created on the unRAID page with an orange circle.. Any ideas? Been using unraid for years, never had this issue. unRAID.txt
  3. Wow.. Ok, I figured it out... Thank you.
  4. I'm having an issue where I can't seem to delete shares. I clear the share name, hit apply, the page refreshes but nothing is removed. The share is top level and empty. This is what the error log shows: May 18 12:16:19 Tower emhttp: shcmd (108): :>/etc/samba/smb-shares.conf May 18 12:16:19 Tower emhttp: Restart SMB... May 18 12:16:19 Tower emhttp: shcmd (109): killall -HUP smbd May 18 12:16:19 Tower emhttp: shcmd (110): ps axc | grep -q rpc.mountd May 18 12:16:19 Tower emhttp: _shcmd: shcmd (110): exit status: 1 May 18 12:16:19 Tower emhttp: shcmd (111): /usr/local/sbin/emhttp_event svcs_restarted May 18 12:16:19 Tower emhttp_event: svcs_restarted Coincidentally I can't make changes to application paths for plugins. For example if I want to create a data directory in SABnzbd, it won't let me make any changes.. Same if I want to change "Run as User". It sounds like it may be a permissions issue? I am logged in as root? Thanks.
  5. My configuration has not changed since the server was built. I don't remember the exact hardware, but I have 6 drives totaling about 5TB, all SATA. I ran a parity check and it came back with zero errors. The main page also shows as "Parity is valid". Also, I am not referring to parity speeds. Actual write speeds to the disks are 40MB/s.
  6. A search within the BubbaRAID thread should have found this close to the end of the thread. Thank you.
  7. Ok.. I did a search prior to posting this but could not find info on uninstalling Bubba raid. Can you point me to the link? Anyone know if my speeds or normal?
  8. Also, I had BubbaRaid installed previously - but now want unRAID OS to be the primary boot option. Any idea how to set it to that?
  9. So it's been about two years (I think) since I updated the unRAID software on my server. Lately write speeds have been declining, I decided to upgrade from 4.4.2 to 4.7. On my best days average write speeds were about 10MB\sec.. Since the update they are 40MB\sec sustained. Is this normal, or is something wrong with parity? Thanks.
  10. Does anyone want to create some sort of tutorial on setting up a dev environment for unRAID? It would be a great deal of help. Thanks.
  11. One of my month old 1.5 SG drives failed - firmware CC1J
  12. Another thumbs up for this board. Although only version 4.4.2 and up only seems to work for me.
  13. Most Gigabyte boards I've used require your USB stick to be in FAT not FAT32 in order to boot.
  14. So just a little update these are my current speeds over gigabit lan: Read - ~62MB/Sec Write - ~42MB/Sec (Both sustained) I'll post speeds with cache drive installed later. Here's my hardware setup for reference: Lian-Li A17B GIGABYTE GA-MA74GM-S2 AM2+/AM2 AMD 740G Micro ATX AMD Motherboard ICY DOCK MB455SPF-B Multi-Bay Backplane Module x 2 CORSAIR CMPSU-650TX 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-6400CL5D-4GBPQ 4 x Seagate 1TB ES.2 2 x Seagate 1.5TB (not live yet, one will be used as cache)
  15. Can you define significant improvement? I have a gigabit router at home, but not here in my test environment. It will go home once testing is complete.
  16. Looks like it's the IcyDock... Anything that goes on Sata port 1 reports back as IDE. It's not a defect since both units show the same thing. Strange..
  17. So I swapped the sata cable that didn't resolve. So I put the drive on a different sata port on the mobo... Still the same thing. Going to try to put it into a different slot in the icey dock.
  18. Hmm.. That's strange. That drive is going directly to the Mobo... Maybe it's a bad sata cable. Also, bzroot takes somewhere around 15 seconds to load. Is that normal?
  19. Can't seem to find an answer to my question in previous posts. Currently I have unRAID setup over 100mb lan. The router does not have a live connection, just a link to //tower and a link to the management console. I'm using 4 1TB Seagate drives and no parity drive. I've clocked my write speed at about 8-9MB/sec. Is that normal? Is it simply due to the 100mb limitation? Thanks.
  20. Also, try moving the Ram around to different slots.
  21. Sounds like it may be a PSU or Mobo issue. Have you tried swapping the PSU?
