  1. Any way I could get some help installing/configuing bw_plex. I don't understand what I need to do to get it up and running. I have the ip set to http://192.168.0.3:32400 (as that's my unraids server) I have the Media path set to my Plex Media Library Parent folder (/mnt/user/MediaPlex). And I grabbed the Plex Token from my Preferences.xml for my PMS (the PlexOnlineToken). Every time I start up the docker, it just shuts down almost instantly. Here's what I pull from the log. 2020-06-20 23:55:34,984 :: bw_plex :: INFO :: __init__.py:168 :: Using bw_plex version 0.1.1.dev89+g98269f7.d20200524 2020-06-20 23:55:34,985 :: bw_plex :: INFO :: __init__.py:169 :: default folder set to /config 2020-06-20 23:55:35,544 :: bw_plex :: INFO :: plex.py:1390 :: Added signal handler. 2020-06-20 23:55:35,546 :: bw_plex :: DEBUG :: misc.py:572 :: Getting hashtable 2020-06-20 23:55:35,609 :: bw_plex :: INFO :: misc.py:658 :: Loading existing files in db 2020-06-20 23:55:37,970 :: bw_plex :: DEBUG :: misc.py:587 :: Files in the hashtable Traceback (most recent call last): File "/app/bw_plex/bin/bw_plex", line 11, in <module> sys.exit(fake_main()) File "/app/bw_plex/lib/python3.6/site-packages/bw_plex/cli.py", line 24, in fake_main real_main() File "/app/bw_plex/lib/python3.6/site-packages/bw_plex/plex.py", line 1401, in real_main File "/app/bw_plex/lib/python3.6/site-packages/click/core.py", line 829, in __call__ return self.main(*args, **kwargs) File "/app/bw_plex/lib/python3.6/site-packages/click/core.py", line 782, in main rv = self.invoke(ctx) File "/app/bw_plex/lib/python3.6/site-packages/click/core.py", line 1259, in invoke return _process_result(sub_ctx.command.invoke(sub_ctx)) File "/app/bw_plex/lib/python3.6/site-packages/click/core.py", line 1066, in invoke return ctx.invoke(self.callback, **ctx.params) File "/app/bw_plex/lib/python3.6/site-packages/click/core.py", line 610, in invoke return callback(*args, **kwargs) File "/app/bw_plex/lib/python3.6/site-packages/bw_plex/plex.py", line 1306, in watch click.echo('Watching for media on %s' % PMS.friendlyName) AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'friendlyName' Am I missing something? 2. Hey guys, I'm having some issues with my MineOS install and I'm not really sure what the problem is. I installed MineOS docker. used all default settings. Set to bridge mode, my server is set to port 25565. But I can not connect to it (the server). I can connect to MineOS's UI without issues. It sees and allows me to manage my server without issue, but when I or anyone else tries to connect to it, the connection is refused. To me this sounds like a port related issue. But even on the same local network, I can't seem to find it. For the sake of this testing, I'm simply doing port forwarding on my modem so that it redirects all traffic on 25565 to my unraid servers ip:25565 Error: Failed to connect to the server Java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: no further information In my console in MineOS, it says: [Query Listener #1/INFO]: Query running on localhost:25565 thanks guys
  3. Nothing hardware or software wise has changed. Just, started up. Unsure why.
  4. I believe I did this right. Thanks Trurl. I appreciate you. this is right after it crashed/hard restarted, a few minutes ago. syslog.zip
  5. I thought I enabled that but perhaps I did it incorrectly. I’m learning every day. let me figure out where I messed up on enabling and setting that up, then providing the logs correctly. sorry I know I’m annoying and ignorant but y’all really are teaching me a lot.
  6. I have some logs. Hopefully these help. Unraid is still crashing, and as for the past couple of days, it's daily. Any advise from people who know what they're looking at in logs. Thanks! tower-diagnostics-20200130-0830.zip tower-syslog-20200130-1430.zip
  7. I figured out it's a GoDaddy issue, not an unraid specific issue, I don't think. When I type in my ip and port manually verse using a URL and forwarding, it allows me to login.
  8. It's not an issue. And even if it was, and some "hacker" decided to actually get on there... they're going to be vastly disappointed with what they find.
  9. I think I figure out the issue... or atleast where it lies. Appears to have something to do with the way GoDaddy does forwarding. I've been using my domain, with a subdomain for allt he different dockers, etc. But for my unraids main site, I was doing the same. IE tower.myunraidserver.com, where in godaddy I had forwarding set up so that the tower sub was pointing to my home ip:port (set up with port fowarding). If I just straight up type in my ip address and port, I can log in without issues. But if I use the url with masking, it can't. Any experience with godaddy/url forwarding as such?
  10. Every since I've updated to 6.8.x, I've been unable to log into my unraid server remotely. The way I've always done is, is I simply set up port forwarding on my modem. Now when I go to the URL that's always worked, when I enter the login info, the screen just refreshes and I'm sitting at a login screen again. A continuous loop. Before Unraid updated to 6.8 and had a "proper login page", I had no issues logging this way. It's purely something to do with the new login page. If I'm sitting on my home PC (which is on the same network as the unraid server), I can log in without issue. On any device, but remotely, the story changes. Any advise?
  11. Thanks to Spaceinvader One's yt video on Docker principles and setup, I got it now. Answered my own question on how the image works, along with docker re-installation
  12. Ok, so using Krusader, I've moved the appdata files that were still on the array onto the cache drive. I am in the process of moving the data off my cache drive (it was nearly full so close to 1TB of data) onto my array, then I'll delete the docker image to recreate it. So using the previous app's screen in the Apps market, I can do things such as reinstall Plex and it'll automatically configure it's self back to the ports I assigned, the mapped folders, etc? Do you think it's the larger docker image size or the fact that a plex db file was on the array that is causing my system to randomly restart it's self?
  13. I can fix the docker image size. That was something I changed forever ago because I was ignorant and didn't know what I was doing and I just never changed it back. As for appdata on the array. I must have missed that, I'll check it out. For cooling and power. I have more than enough power, plus it runs through my UPS, so it's nice clean and stable. And cooling, my CPU's under load still rarely break 70C. Thanks for pointing out the first two things, and I'll get the syslog set up. Is that something you'll need to help look into what could be the issue? *Edit** I have appdata set to prefer for my cache settings. And the mover runs nightly. So shouldn't all appdata files be on the cache drive rather than the array?
  14. Long story short, here lately I can hear my server doing full restarts. Then when I log into unraids dashboard, it's running a parity check due to it randomly shutdowning and restarting. I have no idea why it's doing it. I've attached a diagnostic file which hopefully gives you guys some idea as I don't know what to look for. If it helps, I have a Chenbro RM41824, Foxconn T2491602 motherboard, dual E5-2665's (or it's 2660's I forget), with 32GB of DDR3 ECC ram. Thanks! tower-diagnostics-20191226-1916.zip
  15. I have a single 1TB SATA SSD as my cache drive. Every morning, it's schedule to run the mover to put everything onto my Seagate HDD's. As soon as the mover begins, Plex becomes pretty much unwatchable, as even direct play media is constantly "buffering" every few seconds of play. The mover can be putting media or whatever onto Disk 2, but the media I'm trying to stream, I know is on Disk 8. I have no part of the cache drive or Disk 2, yet even media on Disk 8 buffers over and over until the mover is done. Any idea what causes this? Can I fix it? Thanks!
  16. Sure, I'll enable debugging. I'll get back to you next time it fails. If it is subtitles, what is the solution? Run it through handbrake instead?
  17. What does the following error mean and how can I correct it: No FFMPEG command log recorded for this task. I've currently attempted to transcode 1173 files. Of that, 957 completed without issue. But 216 of them failed with that message. And when they do fail, it fails almost immediately, as soon as a worker starts to scan/transcode that file. What causes this? I see others saying they've having the issue, but doesn't seem that anyone has any answers. Hoping now that a couple of weeks has went by, maybe we now know?
  18. Hey, so i just discovered this docker and I had a few questions about it. It has a feature that I really like (being able to scan my library and identify which files are in 264 and automatically queue them for transcode to 265). But I'm curious as to how well it does of the transcode job. Right now, I'm using handbrake. I'm in the process of converting a lot of my 4k movies into x265, but I have things such as my RF set to specific settings depending if I'm doing 4k movies or tv shows, etc. I see the ability to set it (Unmanic) to use x265 for transcoding and keep my items mp4, but how well does it do in terms of quality, bitrate, variable framerate, etc? Is it a really good alternative, compared to just manually checking every media file I have, and adding it to my handbrake queue? (Keep in mind, I have about 25,000 pieces of media between my movies and tv shows). Also, when it scans my tv shows, once it identifies a file that needs to be queued for transcode, once the file is transcoded, does it delete the old file and replace it with the new freshly transcoded file? Lastly, I know I can simply add as many /library/***whateverfolder*** and it'll scan all subfolders. But if my plex is set up with the following structure /media/(tv shows, movies, 4k movies, 4k tv shows), couldn't I just set my library path to /media and it would automatically scan all subfolders or do I actually need to create a library path for every subfolder?
  19. So, I'm new to this docker. I've been using the controller through a Windows 10 VM... but I love the idea of having it as a docker instead. As someone else suggested, the only way I could get the controller to adopt my AP's (they were in the adopting/disconnecting loop) was to switch it from bridge to host... which then adopted them immediately, then put it back in bridge mode (the docker that is). What's the biggest differences between bridge and host? What harm would it cause if I left it in host mode? Also, and perhaps it has nothing to do with the docker, but figured I'd ask anyways. I'm having issues with just this docker's web gui being accessible when using a subdomain with port forwarding on my router. If I type in my static ip:randomport (I've assigned this port on my router to forward to the unraid server's ip:unifi web gui port... it loads the web gui no issue, but when I set up a sub domain on godaddy (with https) to forward to my static ip:randomport... it says it can not connect. What would cause it to be accessible when typing in my static IP, but when I use a sub domain to forward to it, it's no longer accessible? I have a lot of subdomains being forwarded to different dockers on my unraid server, and they have no issue. I only have an issue when I try to access unifi via my sub domain forwarding.
  20. I'm way late on my reply, but I finally have time to start working on this again. Anyways, I what you said and got this: ls -al /mnt/user/MediaPlex total 24 drwxrwxrwx 1 nobody users 28 May 21 2018 ./ drwxrwxrwx 1 nobody users 72 Feb 19 11:29 ../ drwxrwxrwx 1 nobody users 92 Sep 14 01:23 4K\ TV\ Shows/ drwxrwxrwx 1 nobody users 4096 Jan 26 18:02 4k\ Movies/ drwxrwxrwx 1 nobody users 255 Aug 6 2018 Anime/ drwxrwxrwx 1 nobody users 4096 Feb 11 11:24 Anime\ Movies/ drwxrwxrwx 1 nobody users 258 Feb 17 16:02 Kids\ Movies/ drwxrwxrwx 1 nobody users 80 Feb 19 09:06 Movies/ drwxrwxrwx 1 nobody users 28 Jan 6 20:23 TV\ Shows/ The save path for /media is /mnt/user/MediaPlex/Movies
  21. I have a chenbro 4U running my unraid server. It has 24 bays in it, in which it would "normally" have 3x LSI 9211-8i, with each card taking 2 SAS cables from the backplanes, blah blah blah, etc etc. I'm wanting to get a 10Gbe NIC and install it in my server, instead of using the 1Gbe. But in order to do that, I have to give up one of my 3 slots, which as we've discovered... are reserved for the 9211-8i's. I'm guessing there is no 9211-16i (I googled, didn't find... though I didn't google very deeply). So, does anyone have any recommendations on a SAS Controller, that will allow for 4 SAS cables rocking 16 hard drives total? I'm fairly certain it won't be that difficult to find a low profile 10Gbe (or high profile) so I'm not too worried about that. Thanks guys.
  22. Hi all, I'm having an issue with my Movies folder from within Radarr. So /media is mapped as /mnt/user/MediaPlex/Movies/ For obvious reasons, MediaPlex is my share folder that Plex uses and within that share is a folder called Movies (I also have my TV Shows folder within MediaPlex share also). Within sonarr I have the exact same map except instead of Movies it's TV Shows. Sonarr finds it's folder completely fine and puts shows in their correct subfolders without issue. Radarr on the other hand says that access to the path is denied. It can't find any movies in the Movies folder nor can it import movies. Any ideas?
  23. Still curious as to why two out of three of my SSD's are registering as 3GB/s instead of 6GB/s. That part, I'm unsure of.
  24. Yea, I had already realized I misread Filezilla. Didn't realize it was transferring at MB/s not Mbps. I admitted me being an idiot lol
  25. I have an SSD cache pool. It's running nothing crazy. 2x Samsung 840 EVO 250GB and 1x Samsung 860 EVO 500GB for a total of 1TB of cache space. Now I know that a pool does not equate to Raid 0 speeds. So I'm in no way expecting ~ 3x SSD raid 0 speeds. My main PC is 100% Samsung 970 EVO/Pro NVME drives only. Both my unraid server and my main PC all go through the same switch. It's a 1000MB (1 gig) switch. My server shows it's full duplex and so does my PC. So the question is, why is it when I'm using FileZilla (or even windows explorer) to transfer files either to or from my server, I usually cap at ~ 100Mbps (give or take about 10Mbps). Why aren't I transferring at SSD speeds rather than HDD speeds? My NVME drives are more than fast enough to cap at the SSD's max speeds. And the data I'm transferring to/from is coming off the SSD's. That I'm 100% sure of. To add, when I click on my SSD drives in the cache pool, two out of the three drives says SATA version:SATA 3.1, 6.0 Gb/s (current: 3.0 Gb/s), while the last one says SATA version:SATA 3.3, 6.0 Gb/s (current: 6.0 Gb/s). They are connected directly to the motherboard via SATA cables. EDIT: I lied, the only SSD that is coming in at 6Gb/s is a Crucial MX500 250GB. EDIT #2: I'm an idiot... partially. I just realized Filezilla is reporting it in Megabytes not bits. So I'm getting ~90-110MB/s thus, I'm saturating my 1Gigabit connection properly. And given the SSD's are 6Gbps (600MB/s) drives, I realized I'm capped at my network speed, not drive speed. But that still leaves to question why 2 out of the three SSD's are currently at 3Gb/s instead of 6Gb/s.
