  1. Hello,

I'm on version 6.12.4 now after being on 6.10.3 for a long time. I had two crashes since moving over and I believe it's due to macvlan. Unfortunately due to the crashes I've had a disk failure, so I'm trying to figure out the root cause and enabled syslog mirroring, but am starting here:

    https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/release-notes/6.12.4/

I have a UDM Pro, so I'm following the part after "However, some users have reported issues with..."

Does this require both ipvlan enabled in "Docker custom network type" and  the network changes, or does it just require changing the network settings, and keeping the Docker custom network type on macvlan?

    Thanks in advance.

Yea, seeing the same thing and wondering if any action is needed on my part?

    Yes

Stop all of your containers using mysql, then open a mariadb console, then enter the following, followed by your password.

    Quote

    mysql_upgrade -u root -p

  3. I tried this yesterday, and the YouTube links were removed. I came back here and saw an edit saying they were no longer needed as it was natively installed. The command still didn't work so I had to install the following packages with un-get.

    Quote

    hwloc
    cairo
    fontconfig
    freetype
    harfbuzz
    libX11
    libXau
    libXdamage
    libXdmcp
    libXext
    libXfixes
    libXrender
    libXxf86vm
    libfontenc
    libxcb
    libxshmfence
    mesa
    libSM
    libICE
    graphite2

the following are already on the latest unraid version 6.11.5

    libdrm

and reboot the server. (following SpaceInvaderOne's video of course)

  4. <smbios mode='host'/>

Should be enough to get past this. I've just used it to get past Deceit's anti-cheat.

The VM will present itself to the operating system and other software as if it were a physical machine, rather than a virtual one.

Hiding the KVM hypervisor may cause some specific software or drivers that rely on the hypervisor to be incompatible, and there may be a small overhead associated with the process of hiding the hypervisor. So I'd avoid using this:

    <kvm>
      <hidden state='on'/>
    </kvm>

No, there is nothing I can do about the speeds since it is mostly limited to the Docker bridge network speed or other limiting factors like you've already mentioned drive speeds.

I have no issue in my setup reaching speeds about 800Mbit/s for a game that is already in the lancache in terms of prefill which is transferred from the cache (spinning HDD in my case).

In your case what is your line speed? In my case I got 250Mbit/s which is exactly my Fiber connections speed.

From my experience prefill is often not that fast as if you download from the cache to your physical computer.

I must have something going wrong then, spinning HDD giving you 800Mbit/s, I should be able to get the same then. In terms of transfer speeds from server to PC and other devices, if it's ssd to ssd, I get expected speeds. For instance, I tested out a download from battle.net CoD Black Ops 4. It's about 160G download. Not on the cache, I get about 300Mbit/s, on the cache, 50Mbit/s. I did use prefill, and it verifies the download up to date for that game. I'll continue to test and move the cache to the NVMe.

I have impeccable timing!  I'm just researching dashboard technologies and wanted to know what made this one tick, but of course its currently in some sort of limbo state.  The link way at the bottom was what got me the information I was seeking:

Reading through the whole post may have gotten you the same link, haha. https://forums.unraid.net/topic/132067-ultimate-unraid-dashboard-dead-links/?do=findComment&comment=1199924

I'm trying to get the Ultimate Unraid Dashboard by Falconexe and Gilbn up and running, but quite a few of the tutorial links in the original posts are dead, with no hint of where to go for the information. Some of these links look to contain config file data or other important information. I was wondering if there is another path I can go down to find the missing information.  The referenced walk through is for a different dashboard, though many of the steps are the same.  The walk through videos discuss posts and files that I cannot seem to find anywhere, like this official UUD support thread .

As a separate issue, when following the video guide, I get to the step to edit the varken.ini file, and cannot figure how to access the file. I can find it in file manager, but can't seem to open it for editing.

  8. No, Ended up just formatting and going on with life. Luckily my photos are backed up in multiple places.

Anyone who wants to encrypt makes sure you backup the headers. Here's a couple threads. ****************I highly recommend the script*********************.

  9. I started out with two failed drives. I have one up and running just fine, the other has the above issue "Unmountable: Volume not encrypted"

    I've followed the Wiki: https://wiki.unraid.net/index.php/Check_Disk_Filesystems#xfs_repair

    Now I'm waiting here.

Phase 1 - find and verify superblock...
bad primary superblock - bad magic number !!!

    attempting to find secondary superblock...

I just need to have someone's expertise in recovering the disk.
It's sitting with the above attempting to find secondary superblock going on 10 hours now.
Not sure if that is a normal amount of time to wait or if someone could provide me with information on lengths of time for this to work.
    Thank you.

I just started it. I'll let it run. With it being 12TB, should I be waiting days?

Going on 9 hours so far, just making sure that this will have an output eventually and should let it continue to run, or I should stop it and find another way to fix the disk?

I tried removing it from the array, starting it, stopping it, re adding, and starting. The array shows "unmountable: volume not encrypted"

Here are some threads I've looked through

    https://wiki.unraid.net/index.php/Check_Disk_Filesystems#xfs_repair

Essentially I've done what the wiki has told me to do, and now am stuck at

    "attempting to find secondary superblock..."
    "..................................................................................." on and on.
