  1. So I force rebooted and started the parity sync. I changed some things around. I kept the usb 3.0 external SSD on the usb hub, moved the bluetooth dongle and wireless mouse dongle to usb 2.0 ports and moved a few things around to make it work. Started it up and haven't seen an error or usb disconnect since. I'll see how this works for a while and in the meantime look for a different USB hub.
  2. Had a call trace today after trying to reboot the VM. The WebGUI is not accessible and I can not SSH in.
  3. I'm sure they know, as long as we're encrypting you can share to anyone also which is nice. Very jealous of your setup now haha
  4. @DZMM Nice setup with the 2nd and 3rd team drive. Wish I could join in all the fun! So for the dedi I'm using a xeon E3-1230v2 with 16GB of ram, 2TB HDD, 120SSD for OS and applications and 240SSD for incoming data. Using Ubunutu 16. Unfortunately this was a large learning curve for me since it was all CLI, but I figured it out and saved all of the pages I used for reference. Backups have been made and I have them locally and on the cloud of my setup, so if anything ever happened or I wanted to switch to another dedicated server I could pick up quickly.
  5. Honestly it's not alot considering spectrum wants 120 more a month for gig speeds with SLOW upload. I bought a decent VPS and it's doing its job very well.
  6. https://www.wholesaleinternet.net/ and I'm spending about 60 a month. I'll send more info later I have to work all day today.
  7. So far I've done a few restarts without the entire hub being passed through, and haven't had the problem. I'm still testing out what to do with the usb devices I want to pass through.
  8. I see this post is really taking off, good job @DZMM. So far I have had zero issues with my setup thus far. The only limiting factor as of right now is my upload speed from Spectrum is terrible. Sitting at 400Mbps down, 20Mbps up. I was thinking of getting the gig line, but the price is terrible and I can't justify spending that for 940 down, 40 up. So I had to get a VPS to take care of that ( which is cheaper than getting the gig line + what I have anyway ). Did you update your Pfsense to 2.4.4_1? I've been reading about issues people are having with it and I'm kind of waiting a bit longer.
  9. Just got some more spam after the update. gaming-diagnostics-20181213-1711.zip
  10. Well although I was able to pass the external SSD through and it works, the USB Dongle and the Bluetooth Dongle both are not working in this configuration so that is a shame. This may or may not help but here is a syslog snippet
  11. @SpaceInvaderOne Alright so here's what I've done, instead of passing through the entire PCI USB controller it allowed me to pass through single devices that I had on the controller. First I rebooted the server, then before starting the VM I plugged in said single devices. I then went to the VM and selected the devices and saved and started. In 6.5.3 I wasn't able to do that, so since then there must have been updates allowing the devices to be passed through like that. I have since rebooted with no crashing of the server BUT I did get this error during the reboot. Although this error happened and it took a bit longer to reboot it seems to be working without any other ill effects. I'm thinking it might be that bluetooth dongle?
  12. Yeah I had a problem with that at the beginning and finally found that setting deep in the bios. Appreciate that, doing a parity sync right now then I'm going to take the controller off of the VM.
  13. I'll take the controller out of the mix and see what happens. Also not sure if you had seen it but I have this all setup with a Gigabyte GA-7PESH2, not the supermicro board I have in my signature. Thanks for linking the topic I'll take a look and report back here after I do some testing.
  14. Thank you for the reply @SpaceInvaderOne , and before I started just wanted to let you know that your videos have helped tremendously till this point. So, as you requested I disabled VFIO allow unsafe interrupts and PCIe ACS override and rebooted the server. Here are the IOMMU Groups. For ease of view and to save time for you I went ahead and highlighted the GPU and the USB hub I'm working with. Also as a test I tried something out prior to updating to 6.6.6 today. I logged out completely off windows on the VM, then shut it down. And to my surprise my server did NOT lock up. I would like to continue to figure out and test what the problem may be (as a admin stated this is probably hardware related) but for now that seems like the only work around I have at this time. Edit: After starting the aforementioned VM after this point, there was no error. I have not ran into an error starting it since a few crashes ago when I had my USB get corrupted and the VM needed to be re created. Since then there has been no problem starting it. Edit, spoke too soon. Crashed again after a shut down after logging out first.
  15. Yes I did do this, it was my initial step in getting this rolling.
  16. I'm still having trouble with this, at least someone could post how they are set up with a GPU and a VM so I could mirror it. Anything to stop the crashing.
  17. So I decided to shut down my VM today to do some maintenance and back up some things, seems the MSI interrupts did NOT work as it just crashed my server once again. I'm going to need some serious guidance on how to have this setup correctly because every VM shut down causing a crash is not going to work for me.
  18. I didn't save the exact error, but basically after enabling it and restarting the server I could not start the VM. I went in and tried to edit the VM and it wouldn't let me make any changes ( had to make another VM with same vdisks, probably was corrupted some how). Since my last post I had another crash. I went ahead and forced a reboot, set MSI interrupts again and reboot. Started the array up and saw that some of the IOMMU groups changed. Edited the VM and it saved successfully, started up and now I'm just testing. Seems good SO FAR.
  19. I've tried the MSI Interrupts and that caused some pretty bad errors. Luckily I backed everything up before I started that and was able to come back from it. Guess I could re create the VM and try this? @FalconX Have you had any more issues?
  20. Thank you, I do like the stats so I've left the plugin. Patiently waiting!
  21. This is spammed in the syslog every time I have something download on my windows VM. Anyway to fix?
  22. It never ended up saying result OK, but it seems to be working fine and viewing the share seems quicker than usual which is nice.
  23. Seems it worked, here's what I got. Any need to be able to access that? Edit: I use the cloud storage purely for backup of everything, and have a copy I just tested both locally and on the cloud. Zero difference.
  24. Yup got a connection refused issue. Hrm.
