  1. DZMM I noticed that you have two different rclone mount's on your github page and the first page of this discussion. Which one are you currently using? Secondly I'm having a issue where when I start my array, unionfs doesn't seem to be mounting, but when I run the script manually in the background it works fine. Here it is. Got this error after adding rclone mount --rc --allow-other --dir-cache-time 72h --vfs-read-chunk-size 128M --drive-chunk-size 256M --fast-list --vfs-read-chunk-size-limit off --buffer-size 1G --log-level INFO uploadcrypt: /mnt/disks/crypt & # Populate rclone dir-cache rclone rc --timeout=1h vfs/refresh recursive=true & exit
  2. I've had this happen even on the latest 6.6.6. I've watched it and it only really occurs if the array isn't started, or shortly after the array is started. After that it stops spamming. I never really figured it out but it doesn't seem detrimental.
  3. I replaced the drive completely and did a SMART test on the old drive, every thing seems fine. Thanks for the help.
  4. Also awaiting 6.7 and hoping that it's enabled or fixed. Watching this topic to see further changes.
  5. Glad I saw this post, ran the commands in the 3rd post with my disk name. Worked instantly, thanks a ton.
  6. Flashed no problem, checked cables, reconstructing right now.
  7. Is this the correct firmware? I found it on https://www.broadcom.com/support/download-search/?pg=&pf=&pn=&pa=&po=&dk=LSI+9211-8i 9211-8i_Package_P20_IR_IT_FW_BIOS_for_MSDOS_Windows.zip
  8. Well just got a disk error. I have a lsi sas2008 and expander running off of that. Could one of those have gone? tower-diagnostics-20181222-2325.zip
  9. Nice I'm glad you got it worked out. I had tried four different brand new sets of cables for testing purposes. They all worked with 1G connections, but not 10G. It's not the cables on my end.
  10. As much as I'd love to blame ubiquity, I can not. I bought the lb6m and a sfp+ rj45 10g adapter and had the same luck. I fully believe this has to do with unraid and this specific variant NIC. I'd love to know who to contact to get a better answer than to just blame the motherboard. Unraid should work with gigabyte not against them as they don't seem to be going away any time soon. Besides that I don't know where you can find a motherboard like the pesh2 with all of the extras it has.
  11. @misterwiggles Any luck with you on this setup? I could never get a stable connection with 10GbE, 1G however works fine still.
  12. So I force rebooted and started the parity sync. I changed some things around. I kept the usb 3.0 external SSD on the usb hub, moved the bluetooth dongle and wireless mouse dongle to usb 2.0 ports and moved a few things around to make it work. Started it up and haven't seen an error or usb disconnect since. I'll see how this works for a while and in the meantime look for a different USB hub.
  13. Had a call trace today after trying to reboot the VM. The WebGUI is not accessible and I can not SSH in.
  14. I'm sure they know, as long as we're encrypting you can share to anyone also which is nice. Very jealous of your setup now haha
  15. @DZMM Nice setup with the 2nd and 3rd team drive. Wish I could join in all the fun! So for the dedi I'm using a xeon E3-1230v2 with 16GB of ram, 2TB HDD, 120SSD for OS and applications and 240SSD for incoming data. Using Ubunutu 16. Unfortunately this was a large learning curve for me since it was all CLI, but I figured it out and saved all of the pages I used for reference. Backups have been made and I have them locally and on the cloud of my setup, so if anything ever happened or I wanted to switch to another dedicated server I could pick up quickly.
  16. Honestly it's not alot considering spectrum wants 120 more a month for gig speeds with SLOW upload. I bought a decent VPS and it's doing its job very well.
  17. https://www.wholesaleinternet.net/ and I'm spending about 60 a month. I'll send more info later I have to work all day today.
  18. So far I've done a few restarts without the entire hub being passed through, and haven't had the problem. I'm still testing out what to do with the usb devices I want to pass through.
  19. I see this post is really taking off, good job @DZMM. So far I have had zero issues with my setup thus far. The only limiting factor as of right now is my upload speed from Spectrum is terrible. Sitting at 400Mbps down, 20Mbps up. I was thinking of getting the gig line, but the price is terrible and I can't justify spending that for 940 down, 40 up. So I had to get a VPS to take care of that ( which is cheaper than getting the gig line + what I have anyway ). Did you update your Pfsense to 2.4.4_1? I've been reading about issues people are having with it and I'm kind of waiting a bit longer.
  20. Just got some more spam after the update. gaming-diagnostics-20181213-1711.zip
  21. Well although I was able to pass the external SSD through and it works, the USB Dongle and the Bluetooth Dongle both are not working in this configuration so that is a shame. This may or may not help but here is a syslog snippet
  22. @SpaceInvaderOne Alright so here's what I've done, instead of passing through the entire PCI USB controller it allowed me to pass through single devices that I had on the controller. First I rebooted the server, then before starting the VM I plugged in said single devices. I then went to the VM and selected the devices and saved and started. In 6.5.3 I wasn't able to do that, so since then there must have been updates allowing the devices to be passed through like that. I have since rebooted with no crashing of the server BUT I did get this error during the reboot. Although this error happened and it took a bit longer to reboot it seems to be working without any other ill effects. I'm thinking it might be that bluetooth dongle?
  23. Yeah I had a problem with that at the beginning and finally found that setting deep in the bios. Appreciate that, doing a parity sync right now then I'm going to take the controller off of the VM.
  24. I'll take the controller out of the mix and see what happens. Also not sure if you had seen it but I have this all setup with a Gigabyte GA-7PESH2, not the supermicro board I have in my signature. Thanks for linking the topic I'll take a look and report back here after I do some testing.
  25. I wanted to reply here in case anyone was following or reading this. As a work around for now, I was able to log out of the VM completely instead of selecting reboot or shutdown, and THEN shut down. Doing this allowed me to not run into a server lock up/crash. I am still troubleshooting absolutely everything I can before I use this MB for file serving and non-pass through VM's. Edit: after removing VFIO allow interrupts, rebooting server, starting back up and starting the server back up and shutting down the VM in the same fashion, I had another crash. I'm enabling VFIO allow interrupts again to see if that was the culprit in this work around or just a coincidence. Edit 2: Seems to have been the USB controller I had passed through. Took that out of the equation and had a single error which I'm still working out.
