  1. If anyone's struggling to connect the linuxserver/nextcloud image to mariadb on unraid, I just wrote up a workaround. I wanted to share... (error: SQLSTATE[HY000] [1045] Access denied) . https://www.thesmarthomebook.com/2022/12/03/unraid-set-up-nextcloud-with-mariadb/
  2. Hi guys, been using Tasmoadmin. Works great, but has anyone had any success managing to actually update a device? I've tried a whole host of OTA URLs and various options, but I cannot make anything stick and actually complete (minimal then tasmota.bin). It's as if I am unable to get the files out of github itself.
  3. Thank you for this. This looks like the key to fixing my issue. My easyrsa was in a different directory, but after chmod, it allowed me to pass through. I did indeed need to wait 2-3 minutes for the certs to be generated. Thanks again for the reply!
  4. Did you get this fixed? I too am having issues with the plugin as of about 2-3 weeks ago. I'm now experiencing: Thu Nov 12 16:52:03 2020 TLS Error: TLS key negotiation failed to occur within 60 seconds (check your network connectivity) Thu Nov 12 16:52:03 2020 TLS Error: TLS handshake failed Strange as it was working for probably a year without issue.
  5. Hi guys, just wanted to say thanks to the developer of this plugin, it's been working flawlessly for me for the last year or so, but recently (maybe 2-3 weeks ago), something seems to have changed and now I can't get it to work. I have been able to generate several ovpn's without issue and connected remotely via ios, android and laptop, so I had a decent handle on setting up connections. Since i've installed and connected wireguard though, the openvpn server is running, but none of the devices can connect. the log on the client just seems to freeze. I've refreshed certs and created a fresh ovpn but to no avail. I was wondering if anyone was aware of wireguard installation/activation knocking something out on the openvpn side? I liked having openvpn running as a backup to wireguard (am in another country to my server). Any thoughts? The error appears to be TLS handshake related, but that's gone straight over my head... I managed to manually install easyrsa, but am stuck with generating server certs... it just loops without actually generating as far as I can tell ***
  6. Hey, I am about to go down the same route. Did you stick with it? Have you managed to iron out all the issues? I'm currently getting my internet from a cable provider, but we're moving into a remote location so i'm trying to consume as much info as I can in the actual set up. Am torn between getting a USB modem or a separate one with ethernet.
  7. Just had to go through the procedure again of setting up the openvpn server plugin from scratch and it's working again. For some reason the most recent upgrade wiped out my previous settings / certs etc. Not sure if that's an intentional safery feature or not, but i had no way of restarting the openvpn server (in the plugin) until I re did the certs and server configs etc... i.e. went through the checklist again.
  8. Hey guys, I updated my OS last night to the latest version, and when I rebooted the server, It essentially stopped the plugin (was working perfectly before). Can someone please remind me how I can actually start the openvpn server plugin again. The status plugin shows it's not running (been started). It's probably a simple switch, yet i can't find it!
  9. Got it. As I am typing this, i just successfully managed to login with the openvpn plugin. Worked relatively quickly. Will sort this when I get a chance. Thanks again for your help.
  10. Thanks Prozac. The bigger issue i have now is that I cannot even connect to the webpage GUI of the docker, as I inadvertently copied over the wrong fields. i.e. where I've indicated on the diagram. I need to somehow manually amend a conf or something to try and get back into it. I kept a copy of the original entries, but now need to find a way to restore them.
  11. Actually am not sure what I did or if anything changed, but now it connects without issue. I can complete the connection. The only thing I need to do now is change something so that I am able to visit the 192.168.X.X range of IP addresses, as it looks like I can't access them. I am connecting to 172.X.X.X which is the internal address of my docker container. Any ideas?
  12. Ok, so managed to get as far as OpenVPN client attempting to connect, but failing. I get this error: WARNING: --ns-cert-type is DEPRECATED. Use --remote-cert-tls instead. I did see a post earlier which referred me to another page but to be honest it was already a step too far. Anyone able to explain in a nutshell what the issue is? I can confirm that the openvpn connection is hitting (or at least showing the correct internal docker and port that i set up i.e. 172.X.X.X:1194 so my NOIP docker is working. Pastebin doesn't allow me to connect in my country unfortunately, and i am not sure what to send and what not to (sensitivities). Appreciate any pointers... The status even shows me as a current user with my real IP address (where I am typing from), so some how it's going through, but not properly. thx p.s. Network is set to Bridge / Privileged, default ports. Server 2.7.4
  13. i had the same issue, if you set up a user say James... then when you login to the webpage, instead of 192.YOUR.IP.HERE/admin you need to change to 192.YOUR.IP.HERE/james Then you can download the OVPN from there.
  14. for what it's worth, i had this call trace come up as well, ended up upgrading the bios on my dell r720 and it disappeared. At least for now... running unraid 6.5rc6
