  1. Good afternoon folks. Just a quick question. I moved yesterday, and when i fired up the server again, the cache drive was not detected. I did not attempt to start the array, I shut it down and tried reseating the cables. Didn't help so I shut it down again, and it ended up being the sata port disabled in bios for some reason. When I started up again, the cache drive appeared in unassigned devices, but with a blue dot, not a green one, and says new disk. I'm assuming that unraid "forgot" the disk, when it was started without it. (again, just booted, not starting the array). I'm just worries that unraid will overwrite the disk if I start the array without a green dot. Is this what happens? or how do I fix this?
  2. Thankyou for all the help. I'm still figuring out SMART data, but I'll keep reading. All of the 4tb drives are under warranty. I have a prescanned 4 tb cold spare, and I think I'll replace disk 4 first and advance rma a disk for disk 1. What does this mean? Something wrong in the cabling? All of the drives are in tool-less trays, so I don't have to touch the cabling when removing drives. Should I go over them anyway?
  3. I've been slowly moving drives and data from old server to new, and added 2 drives a couple days ago. I was running a drive scanner on the old server and these drives seemed fine. Today I got the notice of read errors on disk 4, I ran an extended smart test and it came up with "Errors occurred - Check SMART report". Server diagnostics attached. Is this grounds for sending in the drive for warrenty? Is there a good video or post that anyone knows of that explains smart reports? I'm not really sure what I'm looking at. server-diagnostics-20180421-1159.zip
  4. Thankyou for your help. Unfortunately my understanding of unraid and networking is pretty basic, and mostly comes from youtube. While I think I get what you are saying, I am not sure how to do it. Any chance you could reference a video or specific docker container?
  5. Thankyou, the issue is fixed. I am still unsure why it happened but I'll wait and see if it comes up again. I do use teracopy for the checksum that it provides, but I don't think that it would cause issues. Anyway I appreciate the quick responses.
  6. It worked, thankyou Squid. I now have access to all my files again and it did not seem to change any settings that I manually need to change back. My only question would be why did it happen and what can I do to prevent it? I can set the permissions on Radarr, ect, but the issue was across all the shares, not just the ones that they had access to. So I don't think that's the cause, please correct me if I'm wrong. Actually come to think of it, there was a power outage around the time I first noticed it. It is on a ups, but I don't think I set it up properly with enough time to shutdown. Could this have caused it?
  7. Thanks for the fast response. Some are created by Radarr ect. But I just migrated from windows a week or 2 ago so most of it was copied over from there. It happens in folders that Radarr, ect have no access to. It was not like this from the beginning( started a couple of days ago)and the odd thing is that sometimes it works for no reason. Could Radarr, ect not having permissions set be affecting shares that it does not have access to? I'm assuming from the reading that I've done that if I run Docker Safe New Permissions, I will have to reconfigure the network access for users?
  8. Howdy folks, Just having an issue with shares, I looked around and cant find anyone else with the exact same problem. If I navigate to shares on the network, almost everything works fine, I can read and copy files/folders on public and secured shares. I can modify and delete files/folders that are in the top level folder(directly in the share folder). I cannot modify or delete any existing files under the second level folder and down. If I move/create new files they work fine. Example Movies(main share)\movie folder\movie file.mkv I can delete modify the movie folder but not the movie file. It always says I need permission from Server\nobody. I'm probably missing something obvious but I'd appreciate a little help. Thankyou Unraid Version 6.4.1 Logs attached server-diagnostics-20180417-0017.zip
  9. IP is correct, if I ping the domain name it comes up with my IP. I appreciate your help, so far I've tried these: restart router(plex port forward does work) update firmware on router reinstall docker from user to cache change domain name to staticserver.duckdns.org instead of duckdns.org change to different ports I'm kind of at a loss for other things to try, is there a docker for testing port forward settings?
  10. I dug through most of this post and I'm sure I'm missing something obvious, but could someone please look through my settings. I have tried everything that I can think of and I cant get it to work. Thank you Folks
