  1. the problem seems to be isolated to arma server itself, not the vm/unraid settings. as a test i installed sabnzbd windows client, installed it and set it to port 9090, then forwarded that port on my router to the VM. i'm able to connect to it no problem over LTE from my cellphone, so the server must not be launching correctly in order to even give a response when something tries to access it via the ports i'm forwarding. requires more tinkering on my end but this definitely isn't an unraid/port forwarding problem.
  2. vm does respond to pings, and has internet connectivity initially when we were attempting to set this up checking open port with canyouseeme.org would just time out. its now saying connection refused. Started showing connection refused (i think) after i set the VM to use the bridged network br0 here is some screen shots of my network settings: (likely safe to ignore the message about rebooting for changes to take effect, that came up when i swapped the mac addresses between the two adapters, then back again once that message appeared, and i just haven't restarted yet)
  3. I should also add that I had this same arma server working around a year ago on this same server. We had similar issues getting it working then but we did eventually get it working (unfortunately we can't remember what we did to fix it lol)
  4. no i cant even see it over lan on my other computer. and when i check the forwarded ports on canyouseeme.org all the ports for my dockers work (8181,8080 ect) but when i check 2302 and any port i forwarded for the arma server they all say connection refused. its very strange that i cant even see it over LAN, it should show up there.
  5. yeah i completely disabled windows firewall on the VM, sorry i forgot to mention that
  6. currently trying to setup an arma 3 server on a win10 vm. bridging is on ( bridging members of br0 is eth1). VM is set to use br0 as a network bridge. VM IP- 192.168.2.23 unraid ip- 192.168.2.10 router ip- 192.168.2.1 all ports required are forwarded on the router to VM's IP, but with the server started all ports remain closed. port forwarding to docker containers works fine. only issue is forwarding any port to the VM. any ideas? i have been friggin with this for two solid days getting no where
  7. recently had what i thought was a drive failure on my unraid media machine. removed the drive sled then reseated it and was able to mount the drive with unassigned applications. did a short and a long SMART test on the drive and both came back without errors. the drive is currently disabled and contents emulated when i try to place it back into the array, assuming i need to rebuild it with the parity by removing it from the array, starting the array, then disabling array and readding it then letting unraid do its thing. anyway.... heres the smart report, any glaring issues?
  8. I'll give that a try. I've been trying unsuccessfully for the past two days to migrate to sickchill or Medusa. With Medusa my added shows are showing all the downloaded episodes as archived for some reason and the post processing script won't work with it (even though I edited it with correct details for Medusa) With sickchill I was able to restore my entire library as well as settings with the restore feature but same deal, it won't play nicely with nzbtomedia post processing script. Getting fairly frustrated but I'll try the above and see where that gets me, then try and figure out why the f nzbtomedia won't work on either. Update: Managed to migrate over to medusa using chesh's pointers. Thank you very much. Post processing script also sorted. Medusa wasn't able to see my completed downloads folder, had to add a custom path on the docker for /downloads, after adding that its working again.
  9. Thank you very much for the heads up. I wouldn't have known anything about this if you didn't say anything. I'm far to busy to keep up on the nitty gritty details of each of my Dockers. I'll be switching away from sickrage as well. Shame really, it's a wicked docker. Hopefully one of these other forks supports importing the backup configuration and database file from sickrage as I have a pretty massive list of shows in my sickrage currently.
  10. THANK YOU. This at least got my docker up and running again until the current release gets sorted.
  11. I use https://www.newsdemon.com/ . I live in Canada. Their plans are really cheap ($10 for unlimited download and I’ve yet to find an isp it won’t max out also comes with VPN access that I have used on occasion for out of country Netflix and its worked well) if if you do end up switching feel free to use my referral link to earn me a free month https://www.newsdemon.com/?ref=12012665
  12. Ok awesome. I love simple solutions. I'll limit sab so it doesn't peg out the download. Appreciate the help guys!
  13. it should theoretically be somewhere around 135MB/s, but that's more of a moot point, 110MB/s is plenty fast. My main concern is that while downloading at that speed am i completely saturating the gigabit link between my router and my server such that if while downloading a couple people are watching an original quality plex stream requiring 10MB/s of upload each, will their streams buffer because of my download? or does the gigabit link work in both directions simultaneously? All of this can be sorted rather easily by just limiting the bandwidth available to SABnzbd but i wanted to see if i could avoid that Thanks!
  14. Hey all! Been running Unraid server plus on my home nas/plex server now for about a year and i have to say its been an amazing experience. Not one single crash or hiccup. I recently got a gigabit fiber connection installed in my home. Currently i'm running a Plex server and sharing my library with friends and family, all told i'm sharing with 20 people. Server consists of dual Opteron 6380 2.5ghz 16core CPU's and 32gb of ram along with (currently) a 9TB array and a 250gb samsung 850evo for cache drive all running through a (not pictured) LSI 9211-8i raid card. in my testing its handled 14 simultaneous 1080p streams transcoded down to 2mbps 720p before one or more streams start to buffer. Now that all that is out of the way, i noticed while downloading i'm unable to obtain my theoretical maximum internet speed, i'm assuming that this is a limitation of the Ethernet cable connecting my server to my router? My knowledge of networking is fairly limited and that's why i'm turning here for some guidance and information. My server is located quite close to my router, a cable run of 15feet would be plenty long, although currently its hooked up with a 100ft cable. My motherboard has dual gigabit ethernet ports, and i'm wondering if there is some way to run two cables to the server if i would be able to pull my maximum download speed (or is the 2nd port just for failover) which should be somewhere in the neighborhood of 135MB/s. The other reason why i'm wondering about this is if i have several people on my plex server at once, using anywhere between 10-100MB/s of my upload bandwidth wouldn't that also limit how much download i can be pulling into the server at the same time. I"m worried that while downloading, and having people watching plex that those people watching shows will experience buffering during downloading on my end. Apologies in advance if this is just a stupid question to try and solve a very first world problem lol Network information in unraid: bond0: fault-tolerance (active-backup), mtu 1500 eth0: 1000Mb/s, full duplex, mtu 1500 eth1: not connected
