  1. Hi everyone, Briefly, I am not a network or computer nerd, however, I understand most of the things and find my way out soon or later in trouble situation with computers. I installed unRAID basically for 2 reasons; - to check if its easier to use than QNAP, Windows NAS solutions - to use gaming PC's hardware for NAS and Media Server so I needed a NAS OS Feedback until now; - For a person who is going to use their PC for Plex Media Server, torrents and File Server, use Windows, easiest of all, huge community out there where you will find the solution faster than anything. - If you need an all in one solution NAS, buy QNAP or Synology, forget about docker, share, container and paths - I couldn't believe how hard to access the files from outside of my network. There are not enough videos on youtube, 1 or 2 people explaining it, however, it's so complicated when that route doesn't work, wait for a solution... - Because the community of unRAID is small IMO, hard to find which program is overall best for a specific purpose. In other platforms, Google lists you several results. - 59$ ???? for what? Because of its a customized platform for NAS on an open source free Linux OS? For people like me, who is looking for headache-free solutions for plex, torrent, file server activities, this isn't the solution. sorry my humble opinion...

Installed the app on my android mobile, opened es explorer, saw my home wifi, connected, and voila, i see the tower, my qnap and its fast. this was what i was looking and have it with me, thanks alot again EDIT: i just think i got over excited however i think i made a mistake. I connected to my own wifi and saw my shared folders in ES Explorer. Anyhow, after accessing my own network via ZeroTier, how can i access my files? Only from SSH? I cant configure ES Explorer in a way that i access my shared folders easily?
  6. hi all, after login i realize my CPU CORE 1 bar is always at %100. After googling what can be the issue, i added NETDATA and check the stats and found out KERNEL is causing this. What is the issue? what should i do? tia
  7. My ISP router doesn't, i installed OpenVPN with the video help of spaceinvader on youtube, however, i cant connect. This is one of the biggest drawbacks for the people who would like to have the remote connection to their NAS. It shouldn't be this hard. That's why a lot of people who are new to this field are choosing ready systems from QNAP, WD, Synology and so on.
  8. hi, thank for the docker first of all. I installed via spaceinvaders youtube video so i did exactly like on the video however i cant connect. from my phone keeps giving reconnecting. what can be the issue? tia
  9. hi, i have a QNAP where i can connect to my nas from anywhere i want, outside of my network by writing my IP with port 8080. What options i have with unRAID? How can i access my files for example? any android apps ? Also any android app where i can monitor the system status? RAM CPU usage uptime, errors and so on? tia
  10. Hi everyone, i have a PC at home, which has decent hardware. I built it for gaming/office purposes but i dont use it much. I decided to turn it into a NAS server/Win 10 VM. I saw a youtube video where linus tech tips assigned the unraid to the board graphics and windows to the dedicated grapchics card. Would like to try that. Yesterday i installed the OS however i messed the array settings and i cant see my 4TB hdd, giving me missing option. I dont see it at the BIOS neither, tonight will check My question: I have 2 drives; m.2 ssd (OS) and hdd (media archive) As i understood unraid is running via USB pendrive, right? So can i use m.2 ssd as my cache drive and my 4TB drive for media? Later can i add a parity drive? I am just experiencing this NAS OS if i should use it over Windows 10 or not, until now its not that easy to setup... tia
