i have a server with 5 hdd's in there 3x 3 tb 2x 12 tb 1 x 12 tb is parity 1 x 12 tb is data 3 x 3 tb is data (The 3 tb will be replaced later) I am coping data from my old nas to the new unraid server via krusader docker. i mounted my old nas and attached it to the docker. in krusader im coping the data to the /mnt/user/[share] while that works perfectly its only copying the data to the 12 tb data disk and not to the other hdd's this is the settings im using for the share. IF the share is the Top level. i have in there 1 directory in that directory i have directories a-z and in there also directories. So if i understand it correctly the Directories in the A_Z dirs will be split over the hdd's ? But it does not seems to do that.

i dont mean to the page it self. i know how to code html/php etc. i just added a file and want to direct access it. like https://mydomain.com/directory/file.png Edit: no idea what happend but after i restarted the docker its working

i did fill in my DNS ip on the peer DNS server.

got a few questions. i installed this and i get a certificate from letsencrypt via DNS transip. that seems to work Does this docker automatically renew the cert? i got the www. also working and i see the page Welcome to our server The website is currently being setup under this address. For help and support, please contact: [email protected] but when i put a image file in the same directory or in a directory i make in there it doesnt show it.

just a question was checking my Logs on my router and saw a lot of traffic from unraid going to olmprodpowerlift-cdn.azureedge.net ,bat.bing.com and ssl.google-analytics.com what is it sending to these urls?

all ports i checked seems to be the same controller. So best case might be a extra USB card in there. But also need to check on that. Because i have a GPU in there and a SAS card for 8 extra sata. not sure if i add an extra card will impact the performance negatively. While the server is a i7 4790k. Might upgrade maybe this year to a new system. A ryzen one.

wireguard is running perfect ansich on unraid. i can access my bitwarden container which for now runs still on my old nas i can access the old nas. and my router. i installed nextcloud on my unraid. but when i use my android phone to connect to nextcloud via wireguard it says cant find server. I have wireguard setup as remote tunneled access. When i start openvpn ( which runs on my pfsense box) and i do the same it works. Im trying to replace openvpn for wireguard. and leave openvpn as a second option for just in case.

i got the ncp webgui working. but not nextcloud it self but when i check it. i see it gives an error datadir(doesn't exist) how can i connect this datadir ? should the docker not do it it self ? I have a 4 port HDMI/keybord/mouse switch. keyboard en mouse and a hdmi cable connected to the switch and than KB/mouse are connect via 1 cable to the PC and 1 to the unraid server and both have a own HDMI cable. Yes i saw that one. but im not trying to passthrough any pcie device. my boot USB seems to be on the same group as teh rest of my USB. i tried all ports on my computer and always gets into the same group.

installed this docker. gave it a own it. and went to the activate page and clicked activate but it keeps saying NextCloudPi not yet initialized, trying again in a few seconds ... when i check the docker log it says this. im testing to get a VM im running on my qnap to get it to run on unraid. with the settings i used Bios: SeaBIOS Vdisk: manual and linked to the vmdk file vdisk bus: SATA when i start it i get a error Error: attempt to read or write outside of disk 'HD0'. press any key to continue. i cant press any key on my keyboard it does nothing ( unless my keyboard isnt passed though correctly. but mouse works.

i see, when i go to settings and than disk locations and than tray i can fill it in there also. Another question i put the date format on unraid to dd-mm-yyyy is it also possible to change this in the plugin it still shows there as mm-dd-yyy

i installed this plugin but i have 1 problem. on the desktop i see the drives. When i click it and scroll down to identify. And i fill in a date when bought and when made, its the same for all other hdd's on unraid. like atm i have 5 devices in there. when i change it of 1 it shows on all 5. This cant be correct?

i orded some of the my book and will check that out. FIrst time ever i will kill the enclose to get the hdd out.

Looking for new hdd's to put in my to setup new unraid system. was looking at Seagate Barracuda Pro 10TB 295 euro Seagate IronWolf 10TB 360 euro Western Digital Red 10TB 335 euro the WD i know is a Nas disk the ironwolf is also i think but the barracuda isnt. the prices arnt that far apart. The red is 5400 rpm the other 2 are 7200. so i guess the 2 seagates are faster? also seeing a Western Digital Wdbbgb0120Hbk-Eesn My Book 12 Tb Usb 3.0 Hdd which is an external one and is even cheaper also 280 euro but i have to remove the case and do something to the pins? never done that before.

Ok cool so the supermicro is a good choice. Might be me but i rather have something new than used unless i know who used it my self the super micro has a Broadcom 3008 SAS controller on it.

i was looking at https://www.supermicro.com/en/products/accessories/addon/AOC-S3008L-L8e.php this is a 8 port that is already configed in IT/HBA mode but also have a other one a LSI only im not sure this supermicro will work on anyother mainboard than supermirco.

Im new to unraid and looking to building my unraid server. I start with my old gaming PC to convert it. as i was reading everybody said some things which sas/sata controler to pick so my question is which of the two. https://www.supermicro.com/en/products/accessories/addon/AOC-S3008L-L8i.php this one is 240 euro this is a raid card? https://www.supermicro.com/en/products/accessories/addon/AOC-S3008L-L8e.php this one is 230 euro this is IT/HBA? https://www.broadcom.com/products/storage/host-bus-adapters/sas-9300-8i this one is 330 euro. they both seems to have the same chipset i think. the supermicro seems to be 2u and the LSI one 1u. also on the supermicro site i see Compatible with Supermicro motherboards only. i have a asus maximus ranger VII mainboard. So if this is true its for supermicro mainboards only the choice would be the LSI one.

i added $updateInterval = 15; in the config.php and that also seems to have fixed it. But when the container is restarted it loses the 2 options i disable the session lock en de session on completion. When the container is restarted those 2 are on/enabled again.

I have a problem with the RSS feed not beeing updated. i have to manual update it. When i disable some settings like in below picture it seems to work. But once i close the browser window it refert back to the old settings and i cant find what to add to thte rtorrent.rc to uncheck optiosn like session_lock and session con completion last one not sure if that is needed but the session_lock is.

i installed this Docker image and it works fine just got 2 thing that i cant get to work. 1) i cant "remotely" connect to the client. I have it installed on my Qnap in a docker and all. it has my nas IP But when i try to connect it just says offline in the client. Only the webinterface works. 2) i installed the YArss2 plugin and when i enable it and check it again its unchecked again. I know i cant use it in the webclient that is why i tried to connect to the windows client.
