I'm not complaining about my 2-3%. I'm simply stating the results I got when I benchmarked the difference for an AMD system for others to be informed.

Did some numa node & infinity fabric benchmarking CPU's and a graphics card (GTX 980ti Classified). I ran 3D Mark Timespy with the CPU's on the same numa node as the card and off and what I found was interesting. The GPU scores were in the same range but the CPU scores dropped off node . 2.2% slower on Timespy Extreme 4K and 9.5% slower on the regular Timespy. A Passmark CPU benchmark with no graphical aspects other than Windows itself scored 0.6% faster on node. Each benchmark was repeated 5 times and the results averaged.

Disabling the patches gave me a 2.4% boost (5 tests averaged) on a Threadripper 2990WX using Passmark's CPU benchmark only testing against a single numa node in a Win 10 VM.

Did you use GPU-Z to extract the ROM or download it? If so, that sounds like you removed the GPU-Z stuff that it adds to the start of the ROM.

It shouldn't take longer than a few seconds. Try manually spinning up your drives and then refreshing. If that fails, open a telnet to the Docker app and run "lshw -c disk" to see if it gives any hints.

I tested the Quadro P2000's performance on numa core & off using the infinity mesh, difference was negligible - 0.3% less off node. 3D Mark did keep hanging on hardware scanning after 1 or 2 tests which required a reboot of the VM. Toughest gaming card not in use is a 980ti that I may try for shits & grins.

Editing the ROM. That's something I didn't do. Hrm.

Using a nVidia card in slot 1 as UNRAID's video but then passed through to a VM will cause the nVidia drivers to throw a Code 43 (KVM detected) and not initialize. Nothing I've tried fixed it including patching the driver & adding stuff to the VM XML worked. The only thing that works is to dedicate a video card to UNRAID in slot 1 and put the nVidia card in a different slot.

The 1st & 2nd PCIe slots both go through Numa node 2. Updated OP. Not sure where the 4th shared PCIe port routs too yet, I should get a PCIe 1x extension cable tomorrow that I can plug something into (just need it to detect).

Battling the Code 43 myself using a card in slot 1/unraid's monitor passing a ROM file. In a different slot with no ROM file, no issue with Code 43 and no workarounds in place. Here's my Quadro ROMs P2000.rom P620.rom

It's detecting an error of some kind. The number breaks down to "Avg Speed|Min Read Speed|MaxReedSpeed" - so this particular scenario should not be possible. Please click the "Create Debug File" link at the bottom of the page and then click on "Create Debug File".

That tells me that an external process wasn't causing the issue. Try replacing the cables and trying different ports. If it keeps happening, your only option is to replace the drives. I wouldn't use shucked drives for anything critical. They're not the highest quality in my opinion.

Might have spoke too soon. The video card does indeed utilize but the P2000 is reporting that it found problems. Still mucking with it.

A video card in PCIe 1 (primary video) can be passed through to a VM if you dump the cards BIOS and pass it in.

Haven't messed with the OC yet.

Might be possible based on a Spaceinvader One video with passing through the card's ROM to it. I'm going to be looking into that because I'd rather have the two Quadro cards on separate nodes.

Pick a port. Any port. Except ones you pass through to a VM, don't pick those.

This is a VM box so SSD's for hosting the VMs (one per VM) and a spinner for backups of those VMs. I just realized that I haven't had two Win 10 VM's running at the same time. Gotta test that soon! I watched a LTT video last night that said the Noctua NH-U12A out performs AIO water coolers in both cooling & sound - but custom loops can still out perform the Nactua given a good pump & large reservoir. I put a Noctua NH-U14S on mine. Don't you love that BIOS display?

PCIe 1 is on numa 2 for the 2990WX, CPUs 8-15/40-47 PCIe 3 & 5 are on numa 0, CPUs 0-7/32-39 Numa 1 has CPUs 16-23/48-55 Numa 3 has CPUs 24-31/56-63

That's kinda funny - the 2990WX sat there for three weeks before I swapped out the 2950X with it and then it sat for another week before I finished putting the CPU cooler on. Same reason, major remodel in progress. Only thing staying the same is one bathtub. FYI - New BIOS released last month
