  1. I upgraded a machine from 6.9.2 to 6.12.

    It absolutely wont work correctly. Dockers refuse to download. Existing VM's appear to work.

    I have tried the network mods outlined in docs relating to bridgeing etc and no go.

    If I revert to 6.9.2, all good again.

    So I have decided to upgrade this machine to 6.11.5 and leave it there for the long term future.

    Problem is I cant find the download link anymore.

    Any one know where to get it.

    For security reasons, I would prefer to get it from the Unraid site.

    Else if not available there a Safe site.  Can anyone help.

    It should, this was a very common issue and I stopped seeing it since v6.11 IIRC

    Well. I converted to VM to ovmf then upgraded to 6.12.6.

    VM works. Not fully tested yet.

    Another question.

    The system is configured acs override.  When ACS is off, group 13  and 14 are combined.

    I have passed group 13 through to the vm.  Is it possible group 14 might be causing issues?

    Problem with the onboard SATA controllers, this was a rather common issue with Ryzen board and older kernels, don't really see it now, if you cannot upgrade Unraid recommend using an add-on controller.

    I am currently in the process of converting the vm to ovmf. If I get it to 6.12.x will that fix it?

  4. It has done it since new. Now a couple of years old.

    It can run perfectly for weeks and then crash.

    Tonight it dropped the parity drive.  It is possible that any of the drives will fail.

    Hardware = ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. PRIME X370-PRO Version Rev X.0x motherboard

    AMD Ryzen 7 2700 Eight-Core @ 3500 MHz

    16 GiB DDR4 Multi-bit ECC (max. installable capacity 128 GiB)

    (Ecc ram only recently installed. It behaved for a while then started failing again.

    Currently running 6.9.2. Can't go higher yet because vm is running seabios. Seabios wont pass through beyond 6.9.2.

    I have tried changing power supplies.

    It currently runs a windows 10 vm workstation and assorted dockers for nextcloud and collabora.

    Can anyone shed some light on the syslog file?

    The crash happened on 18 dec 2023.

    Thanks in advance

    I got it running on the old 2080ti but I cant get it working on the new 4090. Always a black screen.

    Was that using seabios or OVMF.

    I have an issue passing through GT1030 seabios to v6.11.5.

    OVMF seems to work.

    Everything works on 6.9.2

    I was hoping 6.12 might fix it but haven't tried yet.

  6. Anyone build a system on this yet.

    Wondering what the iommu groups look like.

    It will probably run a Ryzen5  or 7

    I will run a windows vm as a general workstation and a few dockers.

    I've noticed they are a bit light on for sata ports.

    I can usually live with 6 plus a couple of m2 ports for the cache.

    Perhaps an ASUS prime x670p

    Any other issues?

  7. The motherboard is a Supermicro X10SL7-F Version 1.01 with a radeon hd7450 which has worked flawlessly since early version 6 of unraid.

    Now no graphics after upgrading to v6.11.5.

    Changing to a nvidia card is most likely not an option because there are only 2 slots. The heatsink on the nvidia card would prevent me using the 2nd slot because of its size.

    Any ideas?

    Hello guys!

    Im having a lot of trouble with the syncing of big archives in Nextcloud. It seems like its a common problem, but i have tried a lot of proposed solutions in the web, with no avail.

    Setup:

    Unraid 6.11.1

    Nextcloud Server: Latest LSIO Docker V25, Maria DB LSIO Container.

    Nextcloud Client: Latest APPImage 3.6.1 (Kubuntu Linux 20.04)

    Problem:

    • Nextcloud client in desktop gives the error " 413 Request entity too large", in all my files bigger than around 500MB.
    • Web client / Android with no issues.

    Attempted Solutions:

    nano /mnt/user/appdata/nextcloud/nginx/nginx.conf

    # Original:
        client_max_body_size 0;

    #Test 1:
        client_max_body_size 16G;

    #Test 2:
        client_max_body_size 16G;
        client_body_buffer_size 400m;

    nano nano /mnt/user/appdata/nextcloud/php/php-local.ini

    post_max_size = 10G
    upload_max_filesize = 10G
    post_max_size = 10G
    max_input_time = 3600
    max_execution_time = 3600
    memory_limit = 1024M

    image.png.58e06e9ac7a32cf021a9dabdfeb1a4f1.png

    Restarting the docker service between al the testing.

    appreciate any help!

    If you are using the client, there is a checkbox in settings which restricts to 500mb. You need to uncheck it.

    Hi! I was using onlyoffice for a while now and was going to check out the Nexcloud Office App now with Collabora-CODE Server. I installed a Collabora-CODE server as a seperate docker this morning, downloaded Nextcloud Office App and everything went absolutely fine. Then i updated the nextcloud docker from an early October 22 version to the current latest build.

    Now when I try to edit a document, the nexcloud office try load a file for some 10 seconds or so and then throw the error "failed to load nextcloud office please try again later". I tried to delete and reinstall nextcloud office which didn't help. The Collabora Docker WebUI is reachable and working fine. Settings Page of Nextcloud office confirm that the server is reachable.

    Has anyone an idea how to troubleshoot this error? Can't find anything office related in my nextcloud.log

    Try uninstalling the nextcloud office app and reinstall.  Then goto settings and make it refind the path.

    I am almost afraid to ask...

    Is there anyone on 25.0.1 without issue and doing good?

    I have one machine on 25. The only notable issue initially was the password app not working.

    The solution was to set the upgrade flag to beta but dont update nextcloud. This made the beta version of password available for download. Switched back to stable after I got it. Problem solved.

    Thanks for this.  I accidentally upgraded nextcloud docker and found myself in the same boat.

    I changed repository to 24.0.5 and got error
    "This version of Nextcloud is not compatible with > PHP 7.3.  You are currently running 7.4.26."
    Which is kind of progress lol.

    I tried changing the 24.0.5 to earlier versions but couldn't find any that worked.  I looked at linuxserver.io/nextcloud web page too for a list of versions but couldn't find anything there either.  Do you have any thoughts on what I can try next?

    You could maybe try the command line update process. The issue is I'm not sure if that would work either if nextcloud php files expect to see PHP 7.3 or lower.

    Rule 1.  Always upgrade nextcloud via the app before upgrading the docker.

    Else use krusader and go to the nextcloud folder.  There will be backup folder in there.  Select the most recent or the one before that and copy it in the corresponding position in appdata.  Rename the old nextcloud folder to nextcloudbad.  Rename the copied folder to nextcloud. Restart nextcloud. If lucky you will boot back to the previous version.  Login and start the upgrade again.  Then upgrade the docker.

    I've setup nextcloud and everything is working. There is a plugin for nextcloud called MediaDC which requires python 3.6.8 or higher.
    It seems like its capable of installing this dependency on its own but it returns result_code: 127 when it runs.

    Hi, was there any solution to this? When I console in to try and manually sudo install, the sudo command is not found.

    cheers,

    A longshot, but there is an unraid app called nerdtools.  Python might be in there.  Just switch it on to load it.

    Hey guys,

    I have a (I think) small issue with this docker.

    Basically it does what it is asked to do, creating backups. But, it is creating them not in the location that I want it to.

    I specifically want it to store the backups on disk 10 and disk 11, but it continues to store them on disk 5.

    Can you point me in the direction of what I am doing wrong?

    Thx!

    Remove the entries for the exclude field and just include disk 10 and 11.  You normally only have one or the other on the share. You might need to migrate the directory on disk 5 to disk 10 or 11. eg use unbalance to move it. After all gone frrom disk 5, ,you should be right.

    Nvme drives run hotter than other drive types. This is normal. If you are worried, you can add a heat sink to the nvme drive.

    in unRAID, you can adjust the warning temps for individual drives on the disk settings tab. Look at the SMART section. I have warning and critical temps for nvmes set to 55 and 65 Celsius respectively. This way, you prevent worrisome but unnecessary warnings in the UI.

    Using Samsung evo 980 nvme's. Regularly getting temp warnings for 84 degrees C. Surely a bug.

  15. I have had success dumping vbios on a ASUS Gt1030.  Tried on a new machine the other day and got a warning that the file might be a bit small. (<> 50kb) The previous dumps on the same card were around 130k.

    The 50 k version also does not work.

    Cant explain what went wrong other than I might have done the good dump using unraid 6.9.2 and the bad one using 6.10.3.

    Could the unraid version be a factor?

    I tried updating using the built in updater, which I've done several times before, but this time it completely broke the container.

    It's stuck on

    Step 6 is currently in process. Please reload this page later.

    Which is the "Extracting" segment. It just stays on that forever.

    Be patient with it. Update is cantankerous at best. Standard procedure for me is start the update process. Wait untul the crash. Press the back button to go back to previous menu. (The update menu) Wait.  It is still performing the update. Try again. If the procedure is still in progress, press back and wait some more. Eventually you will get back to the update procedure and it will be waiting at the next step.  Press continue and repeat above as long as it hasnt passed maintenance mode.

    If it has passed maintenance mode, dont go back. Just wait for a while, then try again.  You should get there eventually.

    As far as I know, the short answer is - Yes.

    Anyone who has access to the share on the unraid box has access to all that is on this share.

    But from within nextcloud, users data should be seperated and their should be no access to another users files.

    Also in unraid, you can lock the share down. Make it invisible to smb and restrict access. On;y nextcloud can get to it.

    Need some help regarding MariaDB. So I've had my Nextcloud docker running smoothly for a couple years now. I've just realized that I do not have the credentials to the MariaDB root password or the database password saved. It's been a while since I set it all up, so I'm sure I'm fuzzy on the details.

    1. Is my data in Nextcloud at risk?

    2. is it possible to reset these passwords? Does resetting those passwords put my data at risk?

    Thanks,

    Chris

    In the old docker template in unraid, the password was in there. It is now hidden in the new template :(

    I think you may find it in config.php in nextcloud.

    Else, I think your physical data is safe in the nextcloud directory. It is only the database that is corrupted.

    Pretty sure you can rebuild your database from the source files but not on top of that yet.

    Hello, I have recently installed NextCloud.  I am getting the following error on the /settings/admin/overview page: "The "Strict-Transport-Security" HTTP header is not set to at least "15552000" seconds. For enhanced security, it is recommended to enable HSTS as described in the security tips."  For Unraid, I understand this typically means editing swag/nginx settings.  However, I am instead running a Kemp Load balancer in an esxi instance on a separate machine.  The Kemp as I understand it also acts as a reverse proxy.  My Nextcloud is on my domain which faces the internet.  Anyone have experience with this setup?  Thanks.

    Use notepad++ or your preferred editor and edit ssl.conf.

    It is in there. delete the hash in front to activate it. Then refresh your check to hopefully get the tick.
