  1. Honestly- I won't make changes out of principle. I will try to identify the user and inform them only. It appears from the movie collection, that it is an older person- possibly a war vet based on the military movies from by gone eras. I don't want some poor vet somewhere thinking that his system has been altered. Jonathan is right- off is the least damaging action and will keep his data safe until he can be informed. If it comes back on- and I fail to contact them- I may do other things to inform them when they reboot.
  2. I grabbed the guid for the flash drive- and I'll turn it off and let LT know.
  3. I'm definitely more on the white side of grey- probably won't do anything quite that malicious- just trying to save someone some headache. I have found several others but this was the most exposed.
  4. I stumbled on an unraid server that is fully exposed and running with no security on the internet. It looks like someone in the US in bloomfield Indiana. What can I do to alert the user of the issue? It has been up for 47 days and running 6.5.3. Running pro version- so maybe I can give LT the reg key, and they can contact the user? Looks like it is running serviio and not much else- bunch of movies on drives.
  5. I actually think the best config for threadripper is to have all RAM slots populated- no matter the speed or latency. I have done some testing with a 8x8 kit and a 4x16 kit with better results on the 8x8 with exact same speed and latency. Anyone done any other testing that conflicts?
  6. I just pulled the trigger on a 2950x upgrade from my 1920x for the extra cores and speed- might be looking to get rid of my 1920x this weekend if you are interested.
  7. Nobody really knows that yet- especially since they seem to be delayed. I have to imagine that it has a pretty good shot, but no real way of knowing until AMD or Asrock spills some info.
  8. Right- so you had it working on unraid with a VM. Then it got banned by hardware id at some point. VM says banned- sorry- can't play. Then you re-install with a new VM on unraid- same result- no dice. Then you login to your physical machine- works just fine. The game saw the same hardware(probably mac address) when you installed on the same hardware. So wiping a VM and doing a re-install on the same hardware- would likely have the same hardware ID.
  9. If you did a clean install on the same hardware- then the hardware id is probably the same. Usually you can change the Mac address in windows network card settings to trick it.
  10. That is going to be related to an account ban. It should have nothing to do with unraid. I can play these just fine on my rig. The issue is that your account was banned by hardware ID(usually mac address related). That means that your account was flagged for cheating in some way and banned your specific hardware ID.
  11. I pulled the trigger- going to upgrade my processor and have an extra board and CPU sitting around until I figure out something to do with them.
  12. Wow- this is insane- almost like getting a taichi for free!!!! https://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails?ItemList=Combo.3909709 I might have to buy it for the processor and just sit on the other board in case mine dies someday.
  13. I am running it also and haven't had any issues- I even jacked up the number of zombie and animal spawn and increased the size to about double of the RWG defaults. I have 4-8 players on the server for horde night and seeing no issues(besides the horrible optimization of the always in alpha 7 days to die). Contact the fun pimps and send your logs- they might see your issue right away.
  14. I recommend a backup of your 7 days saves before you do the update- unless you like starting over. ich777 is pretty awesome- but backup before update will always be on you- he does this for fun and a few beers- can't really blame him for early docker issues. I do believe he resolved this since my update didn't wipe them.
  15. updated literally everything at this point- really strange that it only effects the VMs that I upgraded the GPU. Going to grab a display port cable and see if that is any different. I can literally login to that machine after the screen blanks and see that the game is still playing with no issue.

It's under moderator actions at the top of the thread-
  17. After some further testing- it appears that once the issue occurs, if you even touch the hdmi cable to the port on VM#4- VM#3 blanks the screen and resumes immediately after it is removed. It's like a grounding issue. It goes away after a few resets of VM#4 and continues to work fine for another 90 or so minutes before having the issue again.
  18. It is very strange- as soon as VM#4 starts having issues- blacking the screen with a few lines of pixels, VM#3 starts having issues- with the same black screen but flashes a few times before it stops displaying. Then if I unplug the monitor for VM#4- VM#3 is completely fine and continues on with no issue. If a wait a while and plug the monitor back in- VM#3 goes back to black screen. I can then force stop VM#4 and still if I plug in a monitor to VM#4- VM#3 goes back to black. After I reset that machine again, and login remotely- it shows VM#4 with 800x600 res, and unresponsive. I can reset it again, then plug the monitor back in and everything on VM#3 has no issues and screen doesn't go black. VM#4 then boots just fine and has no issues from then on- and the issue never occurs again. I am thinking this has to be an interrupt issue since it hits 2 machines unless one is reset multiple times. Anyone make sense of this craziness
  19. Latest unraid makes no difference, will attach new diag in a few. tower-diagnostics-20190524-1330.zip
  20. Well I updated to the newest unraid- nothing blew up yet, but won't know if it helped until we can beat it up for a few hours. I'll report back with results.
  21. But I'm scared.... 😱 Everything was so dialed in before I swapped GPUs.... guess I'll give it a shot, wish me luck....
  22. Well that didn't help. Added the pcie_aspm=off with no result. Anyone have any ideas?
  23. Saw another thread saying this is the fix: pcie_aspm=off Anyone else have to do this to get things going? Why would there be a change needed after upgrading from 960s to 2070s?
