Helo For the last few weeks I have been having issue with the GUI crashing. What happens is that on several tabs nothing loads (Dashboard, Plugins, VMs...). I see the top navigation bar but everything below is just a blank page. When clicking on the Docker tab I get the following message: Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'UnexpectedValueException' with message 'RecursiveDirectoryIterator::__construct(/boot/config/plugins/dockerMan/templates-user): failed to open dir: No such file or directory' in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.docker.manager/include/DockerClient.php:78 Stack trace: #0 /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.docker.manager/include/DockerClient.php(78): RecursiveDirectoryIterator->__construct('/boot/config/pl...', 4096) #1 /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.docker.manager/include/DockerClient.php(109): DockerTemplates->listDir('/boot/config/pl...', 'xml') #2 /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.docker.manager/include/DockerClient.php(210): DockerTemplates->getTemplates('all') #3 /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.docker.manager/include/DockerClient.php(361): DockerTemplates->getTemplateValue('hurricane/docke...', 'Banner') #4 /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.docker.manager/include/DockerClient.php(324): DockerTemplates->getBannerIcon('hurricane/docke...') #5 /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix/include in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.docker.manager/include/DockerClient.php on line 78 Application Author / Repo Version Port Mappings (App to Host) Volume Mappings (App to Host) Autostart Log I am able to click on the shutdown option but the server actually never shuts down and I have to do unclean reboot via telnet. After rebooting everything works fine for several days before the issue reappears... BTW when the problem is occurring everything besides the GUI is working fine. I can access all my unraid shares, also Dockers and VMs are running. Any ideas? thanks I am on 6.1.9

Hello I purchase Seagate ST4000VN000 drive from Amazon and installed it on Dec 1. I ran 2 cycles of preclearing with no issues. On December 9th I got following error: Event: unRAID Disk 3 SMART health [188] Subject: Warning [uNRAID] - command timeout is 1 And then today I got the same error with command timeout now being 2. Is this bad enough that I should just have amazon send me replacement drive? I have never seen this error before but googling suggest the drive is potentially failing? thanks

Can you provide couple quick steps on how to install your image? Right now I am set up for just the prebuild openeELEC image (6.0.0 beta3)

Hi Is your fix for the issue with intermittent sound cut out? It is driving my crazy on my setup. I played some movies without a single audio drop pout, some with just few here and there and last night I was trying to watch Star Wars bluray rip and it was cutting out every few minutes. I have file "disable-spdif-for-hd-audio.conf" in modprobe.d folder with line "options snd-hda-intel enable_msi=1" in it. Did you do something else as well? thanks

Rather than moving them, copy them. That way if anything goes wrong, you will still have the originals. OK sounds good. I thought copying would create duplicates but since the original drive will not be part of the array if I use Unassigned Devices plugin it shouldn't matter. Anyways, it says the rebuild will take 30 hours so for now it's a waiting game. thanks to everyone for quick replies.

Thanks! I already have one drive setup using unassigned devices plugin so I will give that a try. In this thread - https://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=37490.0 the process of copying data from reiserfs to XFS formatted drive seems pretty complicated. Is it really too risky to simply move the files from old drive to the new one using Windows Explorer?

heh good advice! so once the 4tb is rebuilt. I can add 2 Tb as new drive in slot 6 and unraid will recognize that it has data and will not format it or mess with it?
-
thank you! I panicked and canceled the rebuild and pulled out the 4TB drive. With the 2TB back in it says it's "Wrong". What do I do now?
-
OK i just found the top threat where it's clearly stated you cannot change file system AND rebuild the data drive..dang, wish I read it earlier Now I need some help. I put my original 2TB drive back and Unraid is now saying it's the wrong dive and it's looking for the 4 TB one. What do I need to do for the unraid to accept the original 2TB drive as it has all my data on there! thanks!

Hello I have pulled out an older 2 TB drive and replaced it with 4 TB drive. I started the array and the drive rebuild. Within couple minutes I realized that I wanted to change file system on the new drive from reiserfs to XFS. So I canceled the rebuild, formatted the drive and then started the rebuild again. Right now it's saying that it will take day and a half to finish but I am concerned that it shows 100% free space on the new drive and if I browse to the Drive share there is nothing there. Did I screw it up by canceling/formatting and I will end up with an empty drive losing all the data there OR is this normal and the data will magically reappear after the rebuild is done? thanks

Is Seagate really that bad? Looking at amazon/newegg reviews of ANY hard drive there is always an alarmingly high percentage of bad reviews, makes you wonder if it really matters.

I watched a bunch of movies since I installed openELEC VM and so far only one movie had the random 1 second audio dropout. I'm not sure if it's audio codec related. Last night I watched Inside Out bluray rip with 7.1 DTS-MA without a single hitch. I am still on the beta release. Have the final 6.0 version made it do the template yet? And if it did, do I need to do something force it to show up? thanks

Was anyone able to figure this out? thanks

Well I only have one video card right now and it is pci x16. I was only able to pass it when the multi monitor option was enabled. I am wondering if I were to get a second video card (old regular PCI) could I pass both of them at the same time.
-
Thanks, however I could not get my current video card to with until I enabled the multi monitor support option.

Hello I spent few hours trying to get video passthrough working on my Lenovo TS140 Unraid server. There are two PCI x16, one PCI x1 and one PCI slots on the motherboard. I had few different video cards to play with but my goal was to use Geforce 720 PCI x16 card for openELEC VM passhtrough to my receiver via HDMI. I spent a long time messing with different cards/settings/slots but to cut the long story short the whole trick was in the BIOS settings on the motherboard. Most people probably know that but I figured I will share my experience to help someone else in my situation. In the Video Settings portion of BIOS the default setting for Select Active Video is Auto. In order for the passthrough to work this must be changed to IGD (Internal Graphics Device) In addition to this you almost must change Multi-Monitor Support to Enabled Once I changed those two settings the video passthrough started working flawlessly. I have watched several movies on my openELEC VM with zero video or audio issues. I do have a question for experts on the board though. I would like to also put a video card in the regular PCI slot for another VM video passthrough. However the Multi-Monitor Support setting help says it supports synchronous display on IGD and PEG (on board and PCI express) cards. Does that mean the PCI slot is disabled with this setting? thanks

What is the difference between this and the NAS version besides warranty? If I purchase the drive with Discover credit card they automatically give me extra year of warranty anyway. thanks

To expand a bit further, high static pressure does not necessarily mean high CFM. They are two different things. Any specific recommendations? I also have SS-500 and I am using stock fan. My temps are low 30s C but the fan is definitely noisey and I wouldn't mind swapping for some quieter while retaining the temps.

Hello Is it normal that every time I reboot my Unraid the openELEC img file is downloaded from the server again? According to the instructions at http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/UnRAID_6/VM_Guest_Support#Downloading_the_VM you should be able to define the location of the virtual disk image just like I do with my Windows VM. However I don't have that option and it's always defaulting to /usr/local/emhttp/ Is this OK? thanks

Hello A totally Noob question about this. I have KODI on many devices in my house and I use MySQL centralized database via advancedsettings.xml Every time I add new media I manually run library scan on one of the devices (usually my main PC). How does this headless docker help me? I understand that it's on 24/7 but do I still need to manually trigger the library update or does it somehow watches for changes in my media library folders? Ideally I would like something like Plex where adding new files triggers the update by itself. thanks

hmm didn't know about this. What I have is: PCI-E 16 PCI-E 1 PCI-E 16 PCI Should I be ok with one x16 video card and then either one x1->x16 video card OR PCI video card?

Some are (I know there is a kind of expensive startech one that bills itself doing this) most don't seem to take it into consideration. Depending upon your case and card, an easy ghetto mod to use with this adapter is to use some stacked motherboard stand offs and possibly washers to artificially extend the backplate mounting screw hole to accommodate the additional height from the adapter. Then you can even use a full height card as long as your case has a little extra room above the cards. Another thing to consider is supposedly 1x pci-e is only spec'ed for 30watt or something but the 16x graphics card slots are 70ish. A lot of the adapters now come with some kind of molex connector to maybe fix this but I have my doubts. I did run a 8800GT way back with an adapter and I sort of think that the extra graphics card power plug that was required by that card anyway was enough. I only ran 3dmark tests with it and besides the expected performance hit I didn't have trouble with my testing. Honestly, I suspect all the ports provide full power these days or something but I really have no idea. If you're using a low end card I just don't think this is going to matter either way. This was kind of an uncommon idea back when I was playing around with it, but when bitcoin mining became huge there were a lot of people running boatloads of graphics cards in a single machine so this became pretty popular. Would it help if the video card had the 4-pin power connector in the back? If I go the adapter route I will be looking for the cheapest most basic video card so hopefully the power need will be low.
