  1. Contacted SM and gave them the serial# of the board. They sent me a link to a utility to flash the NVM EEPROM. It took 9 minutes to perform the update, but it worked!
  2. I tried the Intel X550_NVMUpdatePackage_v3_60_Windows.exe - no luck. Could not find anything on SM site or anywhere else.
  3. The BIOS was already the current version, but in case it was corrupt, I updated it. I also brought the BMC current. No change. It appears the NVM for the nics may be corrupt. I see intel has a utility - X550_NVMUpdatePackage_v3_60_Windows.exe - to recover/update. Going to search Supermicro site to see if I can find anything.
  4. 128GB memory Both 10G nics are plugged into a switch and the switch sees both of them. I loaded Win 10 and the appropriate driver and Win recognizes it. Unraid 6.12.4 does not. I booted into the Unraid GUI an manually set the IP address. It still does not appear on the network. Is Unraid missing the driver?tower-diagnostics-20231016-1216.zip
  5. System Stats - Disk I/O Since upgrading to 6.12.3, the storage graph is only showing reads. Writes are not showing in the graph. In the image, I have 2 disks erasing. tower6-diagnostics-20230828-1855.zip

Shucking is still an option. That is where the majority of my drives have come from. This site tracks pricing at some sites: https://shucks.top/
  7. QUADRO P400 Will fit in a low profile slot (mine came with tall and short bracket). No additional power connections to the card. I can have 3 transcodes running at once. No problems.
  8. Thanks for the command to check. I had to adjust the Host and Port Still not seeing the speeds I think I should be getting. A Parity check starts out at about 140MB/s (dual parity, 12 data drives, mixture of 10 & 12TB 5400&7200). Could it be the HBA limiting it (PCI-E2.0x8)? Is my math wrong? Or something else? tower6-diagnostics-20200814-0749.zip
  9. Thanks for the link. I had seen that earlier. I currently have the HBA connected to PRI_J0. The 2nd HBA connection goes to PRI_J1 (or PRI_J2)? Research results were inconclusive, some said yes, some said no.
  10. I have an older chassis and I am looking to increase throughput to my spinning drives. SuperChassis 846E1-R900B MB X9SCM-IIF Xeon E3-1275 V2 LSI9240-8i PCI-E 2.0 x8 (in a PCI-E 3.0 x8 slot) speed 4GB/s BPN-SAS2-846EL1 – Single port speed 6Gb/s * 4 chan = 24Gb/s = 3GB/s (theoretical) 3GB/s / 24 drives = 125 MB/s Am I on the correct path with one of these two upgrades? 1) Go to BPN-SAS2-846EL2 – Dual port $432 (Does dual porting double the speed?) speed 6Gb/s * 8 chan = 48Gb/s = 6GB/s (theoretical) 6GB/s / 24 drives = 250 MB/s Upgrade HBA to Pci-E 3.0 x8 (7.88GB/s) AOC-S2308L-L8E or equivalent 2) Go to BPN-SAS3-846EL1 – Single port $360 (will this fit in my chassis?) speed 12Gb/s * 4 chan = 48Gb/s = 6GB/s (theoretical) 6GB/s / 24 drives = 250 MB/s Upgrade HBA to Pci-E 3.0 x8 (7.88GB/s) AOC-S2308L-L8E or equivalent
  11. If you were to implement this feature, could it also include a periodic check of drive temperatures? If any drive exceeded a limit of say 49 degrees, pause the parity check for 30 min, or until all drives are below 45 degrees.
  12. I should have known better. I did not scroll down far enough to see it in the Array Operation area. Thank you!
  13. Yes, it was. Since one of the cache drives had dropped, I ran pre-clear again on both drives to see if there were any issues. Did I miss a step?
  14. Hello again, Any assistance or pointers in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
