  1. you have it set to run every day of every week in those months need to pick a day and a week of that month
  2. these two videos will show you most of the settings you need if you missed somthing
  3. thats a personal choice i mean you can have another drive fail while you are testing the drive and still keep your data. you can also put the untested drive in let it rebuild so you still have 2 drives that can fail with your testing the iffy drive and if it passes the loop rebuild with it back in again then clear the new drive ready for the next one. its what ever you feel safe with and if you are willing to be doing multi rebuilds.
  4. you can always use the spare and put the drive with the issue though a few pre-clear loops to make sure its still good.
  5. you have to rebuild it then if the system is seeing it.
  6. well good luck you have done all the other steps i would of done there are people smarter than me on here hopefully one of them has an idea. my only other thing i can think of is power cable to the back plane or the plane its self. but if its random over different ones i don't think its that. if you think its ram sometimes if you just re-seat and move them around it fixes it.
  7. in sab are you using Article Cache Limit? with 16G you can spare 4G this is large enough for most files not to touch a drive when it downloads. Have you set your mix line speed and the % it can use? in the server settings how many connections have you set it to? i have 70meg down and 15 connections is enough to saturate it.
  8. are you running a ups? could be dirty power
  9. the red x means its showing the data from parity drive. have you checked the cables if you dont have a replacement sata cable switch it with another drive see if that drive goes missing if its still spinning might just be the cable.
  10. have your tired another sata or power cable? they sometimes fail or the cheap connectors vibrate loose.
  11. did you put your local ip on Addresses for the proxy to ignore in the general setting tab for son/rad?
  12. sorry thats what i ment by the other 2 lines sorry should of been more detailed about the nvidia question.
  13. in options Linux FFmpeg NVENC binary (3.4.5 for unRAID compatibility) set to on? try this plugin its the one i use the most seems to fail on less files Tdarr_Plugin_d5d3_iiDrakeii_FFMPEG_NVENC_Tiered_MKV
  14. you can try an index rebuild or their are a site or two you can upload a file to for them to try to fix it for free. otherwise i hope you are able to find another copy of it as i do not know of any other way to fix it besides editing the file and cutting that bit out.
  15. which plugin are you using to transcode? can you transcode on cpu only plugin? do you have the all nvidia card info in the config some people forget to click on the advanced tab to add the --runtime=nvidia as well as the other 2 lines? have you tried removing tdarr and the folder and doing a fresh install using the comunity plugins version as they are now all rolled into one?
  16. did you zip the folder or the files in the folder and any sub files and folders in it? i think it zips the content of the root backup folder and not the folder its self
  17. never mind its working now after reboot not sure why maybe because i did not have the monitor on who knows. i can get back to shrinking my archive video. thanks for the reply.
  18. Check out this channel dude has all kinds of tuturials watch all the intro videos he has you should have a better grasp of unraid if you follow along. if you want raid 10 speed unraid is not for you. the hack is have cache drives large enough for a days worth of data and let it move it to the spinning rust at night. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZDfnUn74N0WeAPvMqTOrtA
  19. Ryzen 2700x rog strix B450f gaming my goal is to have a single gpu system and the dockers to use it for hardware trans coding. if i boot to command line unraid takes the gpu and the dockers are unable to use it for trans coding. i have tried to put in the boot scrpit to ignore the gpu on boot to try to get past this but then you can only use it for a VM i suppose i could run another os in a VM to do the trans coding but seems like unnecessary overhead. So i am looking for a possible solution to use trans coding in dockers without having to use 2 GPU's
  20. dont know about your other issues but if you click the speed guage looking thing in the corner of your drives on the main page you can switch from number or reads and writes to speed of them. this will help find drive bottle necks. Unraid is slow because of the mutliple reads writes it has to do when your moving data this is the price you pay for being able to put any size drive in at any time. you can speed this up abit by enabling turbo write this limits the number of drives used to do this. Im sure alot of the gripes you have, have a plugin made to handle it. as far as your booting issues that is what the safemode with and without plugins is for.
  21. You can tell unraid to ignore the gpu on boot on a single gpu system in order to passthough a gpu to a vm i have done this forget the whole headless thing it was an idea. if you allow unraid to boot to command line it takes a gpu if one is present this prevents a docker from using the GPU. My thinking is if i can stop unraid from taking the gpu to let the docker use it.
  22. First boot unraid and preclear all the new drives will take a long time but will save you heartache later you can do with an old pc (if you Have one) or a pc you dont mind not using for a few days. If the Raid is hardware and not software. here are my thoughts. boot to unraid and run any os in a vm that can see ntfs pass though the unraid share or shares you want to copy to the vm. Install unassigned devices and assign the raid share to the vm config and have at it. can ftp or copy paste that way. if the raid is software if you have another pc boot it with the drives and controler (HBA) if your using SAS i say this so if the contoler dies your data is not lost to a raid controler with single containers. setup FTP or rsync and wait for it to finish. the great thing about unraid is you dont need to have all the drives you are going to use connected if you do not have the space in the temp pc as long as you have enough total space to finish the copy. Im not an amazing with unraid but that is how i would do it. maybe someone has a better way.
