i was unable to find a setting in the bios if you know where this is in an Rog Strix B450F gaming i could try this. my goal is to have a single gpu system and the dockers to use it for hardware trans coding. if i boot to command line unraid still takes the gpu and the dockers are unable to use it for trans coding. i have tried to put in the boot scrpit to ignore the gpu on boot to try to get past this but then you can only use it for a VM i suppose i could run another os in a VM to do the trans coding but seems like unnecessary overhead. So i am looking for a possible solution to use trans coding in dockers without having to use 2 GPU's

is their a way to boot it with 1 gpu and have dockers see it to use hardware acceleration? i have tried the headless boot for VM's but then dockers cannot use it. trying to save a slot so i can have a host controler. having 2 gpus so unraid can hog one to do nothing with is killing my drive capacity. i have a rog strix b450-f gaming with a 2700x

are those files extracted in the location mentioned? if they are might be a DB write error and with that you will have to wait for the havagit to reply

Any ideas on it or is it just smi not reporting correctly for ffmpeg? either way just something i found nothing that has stopped me from saving a ton of space. thanks for all the hard work. saved me a few pennies on drives.

i have 5 that are over a gig. binhex-krusader a simple file manager is 2.47 GB in my docker img since this is still beta hes probably has debug tools still in the build and proabbly not tweaked the size more by doing no-installs on recommended but not required dependency's as this is not near a first version yet. so lets give him time to get all the bugs out and it almost finished beta before we give him agro on size a few gigs bulk imo is worth the saving 5tb of space and climbing on my server.

the docker image only uses the amount of hd space is currently used like this for instance is using 5.2 gb as 315meg is writeable. you can set your docker image size to be 100 gigs and will only use the amount it needs at that time. mine is set to 80 and using 21 so i stop getting those messages for when a temp log file gets big.

This is hard drive space its using just up it a few gigs to docker image size stop the errors mine has gotten to over 9 gigs before and come down. i have had simple dockers use 3 gigs for no reasion before. i think its more to do with how unraid handles docker than the docker its self.

have you added the gpu to the container?

if you have been doing backups the fix it simple. click Dev and Clear DB (halfway down the page) restart the docker then restore the backup Restart again Should fix it

using the plugin creator you can do this you just need to look up the help section of the trans coder for the Arguments you need

the only thing i else i can think of is remove the docker, folder and DB and start again. thats all my level knowlage on this docker. if that is a crap shoot tag havegitgat and you have done the basic steps.

on my driver modded 1050ti no matter how any trans codes i have running i get a max of 60% usage of gpu usually 40-50% and its not a cpu bottle neck got 12 out of my 16 threads pinned to the docker (matching physical core with thread) using watch nvidia-smi while the trans code is running

I upped the allowed CPU cores and still only uses 50 to 58 % of the GPU everything else is as far as I know set to default. It's the only docker assigned the GPU so not sure what's wrong if people are getting more utilisation.

@HaveAGitGat using the driver mod no matter how many transcodes I set the GPU is only using about 50% and my CPU usage is low as well. Is this the max or is there a setting I missed

i looks like an issue i had before we had backups, goto backups see if you have one before the update. if so click the clear button. restart tdarr, restore the backup, restart again. that should fix it if you have not changed any locations in the settings for file locations if its the same issue i had. if thats not it tag haveagit on your reply

are you trying to pass through the same gpu to all 3? if so as soon as one grabs it the others think is not there anymore its not like windows where multiple programs can use it at once. disable the plex and emby gpu pass though and try it again. also turn on the Linux FFmpeg NVENC binary in options see if that helps.

Sorry if this has been asked already. i have dual nic's on my server as i have a home and work network both with there own isp. is it possible to limit one of the nic's to only send traffic to local ip's so all external requests go out on the faster connection or will dockers load balance the two?
