  1. Thats a possibility but to be honest a single cable would look much tidier plus the fact that I will need to make some custom cable to power my sas expanders. The sata expanders only require a single molex each but they are on opposite sides of the case. I'm not even sure if I would have enough connectors on the psu since I will need to run a total of 27 sata power cables. 26 for drives and 1x for my cpu cooler. To give you an idea of what I'm talking about I've attached a couple of pics. The 10x hdd's in the rear are identical left and right side they will be connected to a sas e
  2. Looks like the update broke my instal seems like its looking for things in the wrong place maybe one of my extension just got overwritten? EDIT Putting all my plugs back got the site live again but I'm still stuck without access to the acp.
  3. I installed adminer to make my database shouldn't matter how you make it as long as its there.
  4. did anyone manage to get email working in phpbb? Nevermind I got email working all I had to do was ignore the instructions that phpbb provide "Do not provide a protocol (ssl:// or tls://)" added ssl:// all working fine.
  5. That works great buddy much appreciated. The other thing I wanted to know is there any way to make things a bit more accessible for uploading or doesn't everything have to be done via terminal at the minute I have mapped a share on my server to the docker container and just us cp to copy stuff over. It would be great if I could have all user uploads etc go to a separate share rather than sit inside the docker since the docker container could grow a fair bit when the forum starts growing.
  6. did anyone ever manage to get a nginx subdomain proxy setup with bitnami's phpbb that you wouldn't mind sharing?
  7. @A75GAny chance you could make a nginx proxy conf for the phpbb docker would be great to use this but really not that advanced when it comes to these proxy conf's.
  8. Yeah went and re read the post you linked me to earlier in the thread and noticed ... will keep looking for a LSI 9207 but until I get to say 8+ drives I shouldn't notice any bottlenecks so will run this Dell H200 for now well at least once I get cables the right length. Once again thanks for your help buddy @johnnie.black think I'm sorted now.
  9. Just want to confirm for anyone reading this the Corsair MP510 can be passed through to a VM I currently have a bare metal windows install on one of mine passed through to a windows VM. At the minute I have 1x MP510 as cache 1x Windows bare metal pass through and not sure what to do with the other one.
  10. Got my dell HBA today just wanted to check if this looks right @johnnie.black so the width is x8 but the speed is reported slower than the old card? LnkCap: Port #0, Speed 5GT/s, Width x8, ASPM L0s, Exit Latency L0s <64ns LnkSta: Speed 5GT/s (ok), Width x8 (ok)
  11. Well despite the HBA being faulty still made some progress today. I know they look a little "ghetto" but they work just fine and can hardly see them when they are in place. Also received my cables for the HBA to Expanders but found they are too short to reach the expanders so remeasured now the expanders are in place and got to make another order. So far looks like I've managed to source between 2 and 6 of the HDD cages too. I went soliciting random people on reddit/builds.gg who have the same case but are water-cooling and managed to buy their spares. Still on the hunt for at least a couple m
  12. @johnnie.black just wanted to check before I get in sent back cheers buddy will get the dell card ordered today.
  13. @johnnie.blackJust got my cables and wanted to check before I send my HBA back as faulty if this is right or if its not operating at full speed still still says x4 but doesn't mention downgraded now drives are plugged in. LnkCap: Port #0, Speed 8GT/s, Width x4, ASPM L0s L1, Exit Latency L0s <2us, L1 unlimited LnkSta: Speed 8GT/s (ok), Width x4 (ok)
  14. Cheers buddy much appreciated will get one ordered and try again lol.
