I use to pass by preclear for all my disque before to setup for the pool My parity drive are seagate ironwolf 8tb x 2 So you mean it s kind of useless to use SSDs in my serveur ? I only have SSD as a pool and HDD as parity, isn't a good way to make it work fast? "Do you know that SSDs in the parity array cannot be trimmed and can only be written at parity speed?" Actually I didn't know ... 😅 You mean PARITY SSD can't be trimmed but the SSD in the pool can ? I use Unraid only for PLEX, so I don t write a lot on the SDD only to copy movies, the ssd disk montly use for read data ... What do you suggest ? Better to use regular HDD, in the pool and for the parity? Thanks a lot for your help !

Hello, I recently bought 3 SSD disk from samsung SAMSUNG MZ7LM3T8HMLP-00005 3.8tb I check everyday with DRIVEDX on Mac, healthy was looking good. I instal the drives on my server, format them with Unassigned Devices Plus and now I ve got 1tb on all the disks ! I put back the drives on Mac and now I ve got a FIRMWARE VERSION: ERRORMOD ... I try on PC, same same and I can t format them again ! I m totally stuck ... I m looking for any idea and helps ! Thanks tower-diagnostics-20220619-0026.zip

If I understood well: - I stop the Array, I add the to array the new SSD Now I have all the hard drive + new SSD ( In MAIN, I can't replace the HDD by the SSD because is smaller and Unraid don t allow me to do it ) It say ''WRONG" ( like on my picture above ) So I ll copy the file with unBALANCE then remove the HDD Thanks you !

Hello ! I have Unraid server with 10 HDD 8 TB I bought few SSD 8TB to replace theme but .... When I follow the replacing process, when I have to select my SSD to replace sur HDD Unraid told me that it s impossible because the size must be bigger than the previous HDD ... Is there any solution ? The HDD are not full at all Thanks !!

Hello, I m back after changed the hard drive by a new one; I change the hard drive and start a re building but I still have an issue: one of my parity disk and the new one are with red dot . I don t understand why ... Do you have any suggestion? I bought new Sata cable aswell I ll change the tomorrow ... Thanks ! Thanks ! yes there are many files and movies in the folder lost and found. Before the hard drive crash the disk 5 has 210 GB left, Today 4.20TB, I don t get where is the reste of the files ? what can I do ? Do I need to copy them in the right folder manually ? One by one 😅? Maybe is a stupid question, but if I remove disk 5, I format it, them I can re build it using the two parity hard drive and get back my missing files?
