  1. K, been struggling with this and remembered that this is more of a plugin issue than a Unraid issue, still did not figure it out, other than it seems my motherboard has nct6799, and the nct6775 drivers enable all the sensors, so I can run sudo modprobe nct6775, and it'll load drivers and I can view and select things.. So now my question is, any idea when Linux/Unraid will natively support nct6799
  2. I had a HUGE list of sensors to choose from, including fan speeds and every single core on my CPU. Updated to 7.2.2 today and I have no sensor drivers installed, scanning for sensors does not find any, running sensors-detect in the terminal comes back with "no sensors detected" and a broken link to kernel.org. Have a ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. PRIME B650M-A AX II with newest BIOS. As I stated, it WAS working great on 7.0, so I am lost as to why suddenly 7.2.2. wouldn't have access to the same sensors or drivers or anything... Rebooted several times looking for answers/fixes.. Internet searches all come up with running "sensors-detect" or updating Unraid to the newest version... Help?
  3. OK, thanks a bunch! I'll go ahead with that and hopefully you don't see me back in here in a few days freaking out! Thanks a bunch!
  4. Interesting. I was worried about loss of parity if I did both parity at once... So Unraid will remember the 6tb if something terrible happens? I was worried that if I did it that way, and something failed, I would not just be able to remount and reassign the disk and have Unraid recognize it and go about its day like nothing happened...
  5. I recently moved my server into a new case and am adding some new drives my setup is currently as follows 8tb x 2 as parity 6tb x 3 data 8tb x 3 data I bought four new 10tb on black Friday sales (spread across distributors) and want to replace my 2 parity with 10tb, and repurpose the 8tb current parity drives into the array, and add the other two 10tb into the array. I want to remove the 6tb completely, as they are SMR drives and while I use the array for my Emby server and I know thats fine, they are also 5400 rpm and just make the parity checks so so slow.. (Is monthly checks overkill??) My plan was to do the following after I asked on Reddit and got great help there, I just need to confirm a few things here with more a focused group. As I have come across a few things last night and today. Preclear new 10tb, remove 1 8tb parity, rebuild parity Clear previous parity 8tb, add into array Use Unbalance plugin like in Space Invaders Video , Run unbalance as in video, Empty a 6tb onto past parity 8tb. Run user scripts as in video, clear 6tb, remove 6tb, restart array with "Parity is valid" checked I want to physically remove the 6tb now, as replace it with a new 10tb, as I don't want both my parity disks on the exact same backplane in my server case. Preclear 2nd new 10tb, remove 2nd 8tb, rebuild parity Repeat steps 2 and 3 with other parity 8tb Physically remove this 6tb from server case, put new 10tb in its place Preclear other two 10tb, add into array, Run unbalance, User scripts, etc, empty final 6th onto a 10tb. Remove final 6tb from case Now I checked out the User scripts forum post Space Invader mentions, and it has a mod note saying that this method is no longer recommended as it takes a long time, so now I am a little confused and stuck. As the link it provides (Remove Drives Then Rebuild Parity" Method ) is no longer there. So is is best to just remove a 6tb, reassign a 8tb into its place and rebuild data? And do that 3 times over? It seems that is what is showing as the thing to do in the Unraid Docs.... It seems semi risky and very intensive to rebuild the data rather than move the data.. Help? Guidance? Suggestions? Thanks!
  6. I shall have to look into that! It's a starting point! Thanks! I'll do some research tonight while at work. Quick google says I can install WireGuard on a firestick, but it needs some extra steps, which is what I expected and have no issues with! I'll post more info as I progress, thanks for the suggestion. It's exactly what I was looking for.. I was just hitting a wall with my terrible wording on google searches...
  7. Hi all, I am lost and really struggling here. I have had UnRaid for a number of years and have a nice collection of media I use Emby for viewing at home. I have wanted to access it from outside my home, but have had a hell of a time getting Emby/UnRaid to allow connections from outside my home network. I have a dynamic IP, but have used DuckDNS to get a SSL cert and still can't seem to get connections from outside my home. I have forwarded ports and everything, and have had numerous game servers running, so I am really guessing it has to do with SSL and DuckDNS and that crap. So I have given up on that I feel the next best way to is install a VPN on my server and then on my Firestick and then boom! It'll appear as on my home network...right? But what VPN docker should I use that would also have a Android client?? All my google searches always lead to VPN for firestick for IPTV, downloading, etc. Looking for just something to connect a Firestick to my home network from outside my home. Long winded I know, sorry.. guidance would be greatly appreciated.
  8. Hey @stevep94 I'm having this same issue, just wondering if you found an answer here or on Discord? Thanks
  9. Is there any easy way to run a Forge server in MineOS? Can't figure it out for the life of me.... There are some specific mods that are Forge only that my son would like to have,....
  10. So, looking for some help. The WebUI has suddenly deciding to refuse to connect. I had to change to port 8444 (but its been that way since the start). All my other dockers I can connect too, its literally just mineos and the WebUI. Just refuses to connect. Scratch this, for some reason the config file in the appdata file didn't take the 8444 port, which is weird as it was working before on 8444. Unfi-Controller uses 8443 as well. So, I have had it different for over a month. Regardless, changing the port in the config file in appdata seems to have the Web-UI back and running
  11. Yup, same here. I have mine set to run the 1st Monday of the month, and its been running for 14 hours now. Was supposed to stop after 8 (at 8am) Maybe the plugin hates February?
  12. THANK YOU! I've spent hours on this stupid thing.... Lord knows if I've screwed anything else up....
  13. OK, then how do I get krusader to run as root. As there are files I need to move back into the Mine-OS directory for plugins to work, and I can't because I don't have permissions... I've tried adding a password, forwarding port 6080, and when I try to change to root mode, it says my root password is incorrect...
  14. I've having an issue I can't figure out. So I moved some files around to make my minecraft server a little less full of plugin files that make the mineos webUI stupid slow and a huge resource hog, and the owners on some files have changed from nobody/users to root/root. I can't for the life of me change owners back to nobody/users and now cannot move files to get the server back up and running. I can't get krusader to log in as root, forwarded port 6080, tried added the password in the set-up. Just tells me the root password is wrong. Tried using commands in console to change the permissions on the dirs/files, no luck.... Help?
  15. Ditto. I have a 6 core 12 thread server with 64gb of ram and over the past 2 or so weeks when I try to save or backup the server the usage will spike to 75-90% usage on all cores/threads for about 10 min. Something has changed, it takes so long to load the mineos web UI and crushes system resources trying to do anything with the server via the web ui... That is when it loads... it refuses connection for 10-15 min after starting the docker....
