  1. Here we go. tower-diagnostics-20160426-0729.zip
  2. That did it thanks, I didn't relize device was ip of rpi. Thanks
  3. I've got a Raspberry Pi connected to my APC 500 UPS as a UPS master because it's always on and it's connected via the USB/ethernet cable that it comes with: http://www.apc.com/resource/include/techspec_index.cfm?base_sku=bk500ei I've got two unRAID towers connected to the same network switch via ethernet. On unRAID V5 I had them set up as slaves and they worked fine. I upgraded to V6 and forgot to take notes of my UPS settings. The new UPS settings on V6 look different and I've no idea how to set them up. I've searched on here cannot find anything that I understand. There doesn't se
  4. Thanks for that. It turned out to be XBMC BackUp that was backing up at 3.00am but with my library being so big it was taking forever with about 125,000 files. The was loads of back ups too (should have been 2) I ended up moving it to a local drive and deleting all the XBMC backups on the server, 9 million files deleted and 125GB back, result!
  5. I was looking into why my server wasn't sleeping anymore. I noticed that disk 7 (sdg) was constantly reading. After the server being up for 26 hours it was on 9 million reads (see pic). That disk contains general things like text files and misc videos. The only thing I did yesterday was put 2 or 3 small files on and then copied back again. I was watching TV shows off drives 1-4 for a few hours and they're much lower. In the past I've struggled to shutdown the server and have had to force unmount disk 7. Can anyone tell me how I work out whats going on?
  6. Hmm, the 7th drive 'sdg' is being read constantly. Other drives have a few thousand reads tops but sdg is on 850,000 reads after booting up two hours ago and not stopping. I have had problems shutting down the server because drive 7 wouldn't unmount and had to force it. Could the drive be on its way. Nothing else seems to point to a drive fault.
  7. I got both my servers to sleep/wake about a month ago after a few hardware changes. I set them both to sleep after 30 mins of inactivity. It was working great. Recently my TV Show server won't go to sleep after a period of inactivity but my Movie server does. Where do I start in troubleshooting this?
  8. I fitted the M1015 (flashed to IT mode) from Ebay and now the server wakes and sleeps without a problem. Thanks again!
  9. It looks the part especially going off your description in that other thread. The seller has a really good rep, it's from the US and says it was from their FreeNAS and it should work in unRAID.
  10. I'll try and get a M1015/LSI 9211-8i then. I see there are some that are already flashed on ebay.
  11. I've been using a AOC-SASLP-MV8 in my server for years now with no problems up until now. I want to sleep the server and the AOC-SASLP-MV8 card stops it from waking properly. My mobo is a ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3 and has 6 sata ports and the following attached: AOC-SASLP-MV8 http://www.scan.co.uk/products/supermicro-aoc-saslp-mv8-8-port-sas-sata-300mb-s-pci-e-controller-card Serial ATA RAID PCI Card http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/serial-ata-raid-pci-card-a47bb Altogether they make up a total of 16 sata ports. I want to remove the AOC-SASLP-MV8 for a more compatible WOL option and
  12. I've worked out why it won't sleep: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=35784.msg334878#msg334878 My Supermicro SAS card AOC-SASLP-MV8 was stopping the server from waking properly.
  13. I nearly gave up on this but that had a few thoughts on fault finding and spent a few hours on it. I needed to be sure it wasn't my unRAID USB drives. It was a long shot but I've updated, added unmenu, got stuff wrong and had them about 4 years now. I tried a new install of unRAID on a spare USB drive. Installed Dynamix Sleep plugin and it still had the same issue. Next step was unplug everything on the server except ethernet and power. Remove keyboard, PCI fan control, 2 port SAS card and 2 port sata card and tried it again...it worked!! One by one I tried adding them back, sle
