Wobei gefühlt die Haltbarkeit der Sticks heutzutage auch eher in Wochen den in Jahren gemessen werden kann.....habe grade wieder drei "alte" weggeworfen.
Der defekte Unraidstick lag unangeschlossen im Server, damit ich ihn nicht verbussele oder andersweitig nutze und ihn schnell finde wenn ich ihn brauche......
kein Plan überlebt den Feindkontakt. -
Da sie mir davon nur mindestens 4 Stück verkaufen wollten habe ich mal die 8GB fassung bestellt.....Dienstag weiß ich mehr.

Frohes Neues,
ich betreibe einen unraid Server seit 2009 und habe mir damals ein Bundel mit zwei Keys gekauft.
Einer wird genutzt und der zweite ist immer auf einem ersatzstick für den Fall der Fälle.
Nun habe ich festgestellt das mein Reservestick gestorben ist.....kein problem...dache ich zumindestens.
Ein neuen INTENSO Alu Line 8GB gekauft, gleiches Model wie den der noch läuft aber Pustekucken, der hat keine richtige GUID mehr 😞
Beim nächsten Wocheneinkauf einen MediaRange 32GB Stick aus einem Angebot mitgenommen und wieder nur eine dummy GUID.
Hat jemand in letzter Zeit einen Stick gekauft der funktioinert? Eventuell mit Link?

yesterday i updated my Unraid from 6.5 to the 6.8.3 because i need a driver for my zigbee stick....but with this update i broke my tvheadend installation.

I solved the Problem by using the Unraid_Custom_DVB_builtin_v6.8.3.zip that included the missing firmware.

Hello everyone,
my unraid version is 6.5.3 with an uptime of more then 500 days....but now a disk died.
That is not the first time, but now i run in the stupid problem that i don't know which disk is dead.
My Unraid system has 21 Data disk, one Cache and one Parity...and i know that DISK 19 has status "Not Found".
But i need the SN or Model to identity the right disk....sigh.
Is there an old log or system information on the system were i can read out the last disk assigned to "Slot 19"???

With this one it should be posible to play your local Music via a Skill direct on your Echo without the need to upload the files to the cloud...perfect for an Unraid Server.
I read a few Docker instructions and tried over the last hours by my own....unfortunalty without any luck. :-( -

Hi,
i want to run the iobroker (http://www.iobroker.net/docu/?lang=en/) as Doker on my Unraid server. Unfortunately i just found a few on Dokerhub but nothing special for unraid
So i tried

I can install both without an error....but none of them is working....app starts and stops after a few seconds.Has anyone a working iobroker Doker and can share his configuration????

Sorry guys but i need help....my wife will kill me, because i've killt the tvheadend installation.
Because of an other problem i updated my unraid server and all the plugins and docker images....but now i the tvheadend server does'n work anymore.

What can i do???
Update: Locks like the main reason was that i configure my rec folder under the config. So he tries to backup all the recordings.....
i stopped the docker, delete the backupfile and moved the recordings to an other location.

unfortunately that was not the root cause..... i have also renamed the folder to remove german "umlaute" like öäü

first a happy new year to all of you
It's time for my unraid server to switsch from the V 6.0 beta 3 to a new unraid version.
I have not done this before, because the system runs without any problem for a very long time and i spend a lot of time to build and configer ~6 VM's running with xen.
For the moment it looks like i can replace all this machines with Docker/Plugins...makes it easier for me
My system runs with 20 Data, one Parity and one Cache drive, so my question is how can i switch the arry configuration to a new 6.3.0-rc6 system??
I ONLY need the array up and running without loosing data!
I can configure the User/Shares/Networks etc again....not a big deal and i know that i must setup and configure all my application running on xen again as docker and plugin.
Can i copy the super.dat to a new created USB Stick with the lates Unraid version (i have to licenses) and power on the server with the new stick???

Hi,
i run an unraid 6 beta 3 Server with 18HD + parity and cache drive.
Two weeks ago i run out of disk space but I dont noticed that...because of the cache drive.
On the web interface i saw "0 B" free for ALL Data Disks.
So i added a new drive and thought that was it.....unfortunately i saw today that i still have a lot of files on the cache drive that are not moved
So i start the mover via webinterface and got messages like this for every file:

I found this file IMG.jpg on my drive8 with user root and group root.
On the cache drive the file has my name as owner and "user" as group.
Files i added AFTER i expand the Raid are moved fine!
Any idea how to fix this?
BTW: at time of this issue the "Min. free space:" for all shares was NOT set....must happened while i update

I found a working solution!
I installed Arch as a HVM and then i used my new best friend "yaourt" to install the rest.
yaourt dvbsky
select 1 install the firmware
yaourt dvbsky
select 2 install the mediatree (you need 2GB Ram or must expand the /tmp. Otherwise you run out of disk space)
yaourt tvheadend
select 5 to install tvheadend from git.
and if you like
yaourt oscam
select 2.
The same steps on a Arch PV result in lots of interference. Like it was on a heavy snow or rainy day. I also tried it with iommu=soft, but does not change anything.
Maybe that saves someones time.

I managed to run my unraid 5 as DomU in Unraid 6, was match easier than i expected and now tvheadend works.
Now i can play around and just boot the unraid 5 VM in the evening, so my wife is happy that xbmc works.
My way (as a windows guy):
Create a new 2 GB img file, add this as hdb to an exisiting windows VM. Boot Windows, create a partition, make them active, format the new drive with fat32, name it UNRAID
copy the whole Unraid 5 Stick to the new Drive, run make_bootable as admin with parameter -f.
Now you can use this image file for a hvm machine, i only must add the parameter model=e1000 to the vid config. Without that unraid did not found a nic.
(unraid runs in free/demo mode, because you don't have the stickid, but for me this is not relevant)

That would be the dumbest thing I've ever heard!!! (Running an unraid 5 VM in v6 I mean). No offense!
Maybe my English is to bad....but I DON'T want to use the Nas function of unraid 5 in the Vm!
Only the working DVB Driver & Tvheadend! This will show me if it is possible or not.
For that I only need to boot it and have a small drive with a copy of my config.
Like I said: It works in a native unraid 5 and in a windows vm, but not in a Linux vm.
Need to know if the problem is in the computer or in front of the keyboard.

Hi,
my goal is to run a VM with tvheadend to stream live TV to my XBMC clients. Easy task i thought...
Now, 5 days later i give up. I tried Debian Squeeze and Wheezy (also with kernel backports), Ubuntu Saucy and Arch. Everything as PV and HVM
More or less in every combination with tvheadend stabil, beta & unstabil.
But i only get two results:
1) tvheadend see the card but was unable to scan for muxes
2) tvheadend see the card, was able to scan for muxes but can't tune to a channel.
Also i got signal level ~50% or 4230% ........
BUT in a Windows 7 64bit HVM with dvbviewer everything worked like i expected.
Also in Unraid 5 it worked perfect.
I think that shows that the Card is ok and that passthrough is working.
Any advice what i made wrong, or what i can try?
Has someone a working linux vm with DVBSKY driver or tvheadend?

Der Transcend JetFlash 600 USB 2.0 mit 8GB (TS8GJF600) hat eine gültige GUID und wurde auch vom Unraid USB Creator erkannt.
Der Key konnte erfolgreich getauscht werden.
