  1. I'm going to admit this was really dumb on my part. I couldn't delete something in my recycle bin (via the app) and usually that means it's open in another app or sometimes it's stuck in Windows Explorer and a restart of that helps. I made sure it wasn't open anywhere and went through my usual steps. Once in a while it's a process that's hanging for one reason or another and in the past I've been able to go into 'Open Files' and find that process and kill it without issue and that would allow me to empty the bin. It appears this time that process involved a whole lot more than just that file as immediately upon killing it and emptying the bin, all my shares disappeared and docker stopped working. I cannot recall the name or identifier of that process I killed. I stopped and restarted the array and the shares are still gone and docker failed to start since it doesn't have the proper paths to the docker files to start. I checked the discs in the array and all data is still on them or at least that's what it's showing via the GUI. I've attached the diagnostics file if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. I'm hoping it can be resolved with a restart but I'm panicking a bit here as in my almost 4 years this is the first time anything like this has happened. server-diagnostics-20231124-1735.zip
  2. Can confirm the container is broken. I had a file get stuck on 100% so I tried to restart and it wiped all the settings inside the container. It doesn't recognize the external container settings/directories and resets the internal settings at every restart. Even gives the 30 day evaluation period message. To be clear when I say internal I mean when using the container like the minimum video length to skip etc and external I mean in the container setup page in Unraid. Any ideas @Djoss? Don't know if it's related to the beta expiring but the last time it expired it simply said so and there were not any issues with the container otherwise.
  3. Hi sorry I didn't see this I haven't checked the forum since I last posted but I use a standalone program called jmkvpropedit: https://github.com/BrunoReX/jmkvpropedit You need to have mkvpropedit installed which I have via MKVToolNix on my PC. The only setup required is you go to the options tab in the program and search for the mkvpropedit executable which for me was in \ProgramFiles\MKVToolNix\ . This allows you to batch edit as many files as you'd like at once saving a lot of time. Any time I need to actually remux a file I use MKVToolNix.
  4. Having the same issue. It appears their beta license was set to expire at the end of January so we have to wait for them to update it with a new beta key. https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1053
  5. Just checked and tested it and it's fixed. Thanks a lot not only for the fix but all the work you've done here. It's made setting up and organizing all my media infinitely easier and I appreciate it.
  6. Hi Djoss, I've had one little issue with the newest update. I like to run my files through Jmkvpropedit to batch remove things like baked in titles from files or make other quick changes. The new overhaul of the MKVToolNix container here seems to change the permissions of the MKV files it outputs to read only. I can manually change these through the command line in Putty but it's a pain to have to do it if there are a lot of files I'm working with at once. Is there a way to make sure MKVToolNix is outputting writable files as it was before?
  7. Thanks it's back working now. Not sure why it didn't downloaded the latest one the first time but forcing another check for update allowed me to get the newest one.

I'm not sure if that's what is causing the problem or if its something else.

  10. Thanks for the heads up. Just checked their news section and saw the article from March 31st. Weird as it worked fine for me up until last night.
  11. Switched to Switzerland and it's working again. I was on Vancouver originally and tried Montreal but that was down too so that's why I figured it was something else but I guess all their Canadian servers might have undergone something.
  12. Did this just suddenly break for anyone else tonight? I noticed the torrents weren't moving and then I refreshed and it timed out and restarted the container and am getting "This site can't be reached." I tried changing the VPN files and nothing helped and my other devices are working fine with my VPN on.
  13. How does one go about setting up the separate Onlyoffice container? The Collabora one was simple and straight forward but for Onlyoffice I've had a bit of trouble without there being a simple preconfigured proxy-config file for it and needing to do the custom cert folder. I couldn't find any Unraid focused online guides for it.
  14. For me it's also going to be the ease of use and ability to add drives one at a time while also affording parity without striping the data. Also on a personal note, it's been extremely stable as I'm currently on day 55 of uptime on my 2nd trial extension. As someone in a tough financial spot right now, I appreciate the server being stable enough to continue running while I build up the funds to pay for a license. As for features I'd like to see, the main one would be the ability to snapshot but I'm sure that's more of a file system restriction with XFS. The snapshot feature is the only thing I'd put in the Freenas/ZoL column in a feature comparison. Everything else I prefer Unraid, especially the docker integration which is a dream for someone who wants a home file server with some nice apps and services to automate what would otherwise take a decent amount of time to tend to.
  15. Yeah I figured the more customized install route would allow it but I assumed the person asking wouldn't have configured it that way if they were new like I was. Thanks for the tip though I appreciate it.
  16. I'm no expert (actually, more of a total newbie to all this) but it sounds like you have a similar issue to what I had with qbittorrent and that was messing up the configuration of the directories. When you set up Deluge you assign a directory to be the /data directory. That means if you assign /mnt/user/downloads to that /data field during setup, Deluge will see that as /data. Therefore within the Deluge preferences in the Web UI you'll see /data and you can assign different folders say for instance completed and incomplete in case you want separate folders for torrents still in progress. Those folders will then be /data/completed and /data/incomplete. In unraid the actual paths will be /mnt/user/downloads/completed and /mnt/user/downloads/incomplete but that doesn't matter to the container once you set the /data directory during the initial setup because it only sees /data. So unless you have your media folders for Plex setup within the same directory as /data, I'm not sure you can get it to work that way but someone else could tell you and they would need to see how you have it configured to know for sure.
  17. I've just had the same exact problem start happening to me, also using PIA. Except instead of 600 KB/s - 1 MB/s, I'm getting 1 - 30 KB/s. A good speed for me with a couple seeds is 1 - 4 MB/s. Brand new releases with ton of seeds I'll get 10-25+. What I've just done and it seems to be working for now is replacing the .PEM file and security certificate that come in the openvpn folder you get from PIA and at the same time I switched endpoints from Montreal to Toronto. The .PEM file and security certificate were dated from back in August whereas the ones I replaced them with are from October. I don't know which of those changes made the difference or if it's all three combined but I'd take a shot with that if I were you.
  18. You're right I'm a moron. In qBittorrent I had it set to actual share path and not /data/folder as specified in the container settings. Don't know if Deluge had that as its default in app settings or what since I don't recall specifically changing that before. Thanks for the help and making these easy to set up containers.
  19. So I'm new to using these torrent dockers on Unraid and have been using qBittorrent for a while on both OSX and Windows with no issues and that's why I'm even bothering with this one in the first place. Now I've set up both DelugeVPN and qBittorrentVPN with the same settings and same PIA servers but only Deluge works. When I go to download the Ubuntu Desktop ISO it downloads extremely fast 20-45 MB/s. Then I try the same on the qBittorrent docker and it starts at 130 KB/s and immediately decreases to 0. I have both set to TCP only and haven't changed anything else in the initial settings beyond the download directory. Any idea what the issue could be on this one? If it comes down to it I can stick with Deluge but I'd like to figure out why I can't get this one to work. Thanks in advance.
  20. I know nothing when it comes to CSS and styling for webpages and I'm trying to figure out how to apply a dark theme for the Web UI. qBittorrent has a couple pre-made ones on Userstyles that work with the Stylus add on for Chrome but I can't find any for Deluge. Does anyone have any experience making dark themes or have found and used one for Deluge? One of the developers on their forum linked this in an old thread (https://forum.deluge-torrent.org/viewtopic.php?t=55047) and said to apply them and change the web.conf file but I have no idea what to do with the files inside or if it's even possible here: https://git.deluge-torrent.org/deluge/tree/deluge/ui/web/themes Any help would be appreciated.
  21. Thank you for the help. I ended up grabbing a GT 1030 yesterday to use and pass through for any time I need it. The way VNC worked is what I didn't get at first. Now I see there are the other ways (Splashtop, etc) of connecting remotely for better performance using passed through hardware. Going to install UnRAID now and can't wait to get started with it.
  22. Just a heads up these are really stupid questions but I’m brand new to servers and VMs in general. I initially just planned to use it for storage and as a media server but the features all peak my interest and I have some questions that I tried to Google but couldn’t find an exact answer. To preface I’m building a separate server machine with the following specs: Ryzen 1700X Gigabyte Aorus B450 M 32GB Corsair LPX 2400 DDR4 2 x 500GB Samsung 860 Evo (Cache) 5 x 8TB WD Red (Storage) Now I have my full everyday rig I planned to use to access the server via web ui etc: i7 4700K Asus Z87-C 32GB Corsair 2133 DDR3 EVGA GTX 660 256GB Samsung 840 Pro (System) 1TB WD Black (Storage) Yes I know the server is way more powerful than my main rig for the time being but I built it mid 2013 with the main purpose of music production and will be upgrading at some point. Now do I need a GPU in my server to do the following: Access the UnRAID web console? Run VMs for Windows 10, OSX, etc? - I would be looking to use them to run various apps maybe even use Logic in OSX VM if that’s possible. I doubt I’d try to game in them but would like to experiment with it. The reason this is a bit confusing for me is there is no output directly from the server to a monitor and I have a GPU in my main rig to output to my monitor. But then I stopped to think and obviously you need your CPU in the server to run it and it probably works the same way with a GPU, correct? Wherever I look for this specific issue on Google it usually is people who are using and outputting directly from the server machine to a monitor like in the Linus Tech Tips videos. Basically can I get graphical output accessing my server and VMs via a web browser without a GPU in my server rig? If I do need one, how powerful would it need to be? I was thinking a GT 1030 for its low power consumption and better than integrated GPU performance. I’m not planning on trying any heavy gaming or rendering on the server so that’s not a concern although if it could be used to assist in video transcoding that would be a bonus. Again I know this is incredibly noobish but I just need an answer to get this finished at this point. I would take my GTX 660 and put it in the server to do the initial setup by the way. This is from that point forward. Thanks in advance for any help.
