  1. Yes counting my blessings and indeed running a check now. Backups have been done after fixing all of the permissions since only the share data returned.
  2. Hello @Frank1940, thank you for your response. I was able to find an alert email that showed the correct drive mapping. I put every drive back in the correct slots and started the array with the "parity already is valid" option. Drives include cache drives came back up with no problem and shares all returned! Going to have to fix all of the permissions and apps I lost but extremely happy with this outcome. Unraid is awesome!
  3. Before the "you should have backed up" messages come in, I understand that and obviously this is a learning lesson for me going forward. Unfortunately my backup I did was in the beginnings of the server and didn't take a fresh one so my feeling it's not worth trying to mount to. My current situation is that I got a newly activated USB disks for Pro set up but obviously having to start over rebuilding the shares and everything. I am hoping I didn't loose my data but not wanting to try anything yet before trying myself without assistance from somewhere. I read a few forum posts about USB drives gone and people having success rebuilding. My issue is that I have 24 drives and no idea what order is with what disks for the last 6 slots... I was able to luckily find a old screenshot able to put 18 out of the 24 drives (including the 2 Parity drives) to the correct slots which I am so happy I was able to locate that. Based on me reading the forums, those last 6 disks put in the wrong slot could be ok? I know I am taking things as-is right now but still trying to locate if I had did a full screenshot of all drives in their slots. I know the order of my cache drives and it was set up as a raid0. Curious if there is any presetup to make sure it mounts to the correct raid? Taking this extremely slow and steady before rushing to start the array.
  4. Yes it seems no activity it hovers around 120MB/s but any small activity on the array cuts it down over half. I guess I was mistaken as I thought the clearing task is just zeroing the drive and speeds would have been isolated to any current array activity.
  5. Sorry, being first post, it wasn't letting me upload it. Edited the main post with the diag attachment.
  6. Hello and happy to be a new user here being a new Pro owner. So quick question based on some concerns I am having with some issues adding more disks needing to be cleared yet saying its going to half a year to complete. My inicial install took 14 hours to build so not sure why suddenly its taking forever to add additional drives to the system (which was the main reason why I swapped to this). I did with this install of 2 additional disks added 2 cache 1TB SSDs which seems to be active and working. The 5 existing drives (2 parity) was working maxing out at the speed of the drives as expected. Running a supermicro with a SAS9211-8I HBA controller. Any ideas? Was lurking for awhile but confused at this point reading other topics. Diagnostics: unraid-diagnostics-20190507-1950.zip
