Cliff replied to Cliff's topic in VM Engine (KVM)
Ok, my server has been running fine for over a year with the same hardware and now it only craches when I enable VM manager. Can it still be caused by the bug you mentioned? -

How to edit vm configuration when VM-manager is disabled ?

Can I just wipe the VMs in some way. Just deleting/renaming the folders/files under domains did not seem to work. What do I need to delete change to reset the VM-manager completly ? -
How to edit vm configuration when VM-manager is disabled ?
Cliff replied to Cliff's topic in VM Engine (KVM)
update2: I pulled the stick and looked tried to open domains.cfg from a laptop and it said that the domains.cfg was corrupt. I tried repairing the drive from rightclicking in windows explorer and afterwards the domains.cfg had been removed I also tried downloading 6.8 from https://s3.amazonaws.com/dnld.lime-technology.com/stable/unRAIDServer-6.8.0-x86_64.zip but I get "Failed - Forbidden" when rightclicking and trying to download. If I just click the link I just get some error-message. -

How to edit vm configuration when VM-manager is disabled ?
Cliff replied to Cliff's topic in VM Engine (KVM)
ok, is there no other way. I also read in a post that it should be possible to rename the the vdisk image. But I think I tried that to, without success or maybe it worked and the usb was corrupted. -
I removed on of my gpus from my unraid server and after that my windows10 vm stopped working as the gpu windows was using changed immou group (I think). I tried to fix this by editing the windows 10 xml but after that my unraid server crached as I must have done something wrong. The problem was that the vm was set to autostart so that I had to manually reboot but then the vm started en the server crached again. I have now been able to start the server with the array stopped and then disabled vm-manager to be able to start the array again. I read some forum posts that it should be able to start the array without the vms autostarting but I tried that several times and also tried renaming the vdisk image but nothing worked. After multiple hard-resets the usb got corrupted and now I have been able to start up again with a backup. Array is started and VM manager is disabled. How do I edit the xml for the vm without vm-manager running ?

VM crashing Unraid-server how to disable VM from autostarting?
Cliff replied to Cliff's topic in General Support
I googled my problem and found a post where the creator had a similar problem and it was the usb that was broken/corrupt. I have now replaced the usb with a backup and unraid boots again and I have access to the webui. But how do I solve my problem ? I can start the array again if I disable VM in the setting. But how do I alter the Windows10 vm that is causing all the problems when VM is disabled ? -
VM crashing Unraid-server how to disable VM from autostarting?
Cliff replied to Cliff's topic in General Support
I don't know if I messed something up with my manual powering downs. Now I am not able to log in using the webui. I get a strange ip that is not in my network, how can I fix this ? -
I removed one of my gpus in my nuraid server and after that my windows 10 vm refused to start. I tried to fix the issue by editing the xml but managed to make the vm and the entire unraid server to crasch. The I forgot to disable the vm autostart so now it starts up again efter every reboot and crasches the server again before I have time to alter any settings. How do I stop the VM from autostarting ? Edit: I tried changing "startArray" to no and was able to start the server and disabled the vm-engine before starting the array and now the server does not crach. But if I enabe VM-engine it craches again.

Have anyone created a custom model ? If so can you supply some general directions of what needs to be done to get it to work.

Sorry, I was on 6.9.0-rc2 and tried to update using tools/Update OS but whenever selecting the stable branch the option to update dissapeared. But I just noticed that I had to stay on the update page for a minute for the update to stable option to show up again.

I have the same issue, where do I download the stabel version manualy?

I just tried unmanic but can't get it to work. I added a test-library with a few movies and a temp-location for reencoding. But after scanning the folder they get added to the workers but nothing happens. I can se that tmp folders/files gets created but they are only a few Mb and get larger super-slowly. After 10-15min they are still <10Mb. I have tried both "staging" and regular repo. I have added "--cpus='.5'"" and have disabled audio-reencoding. I am running an Ryzen 3900X with 64GB RAM

I switched from qbittorrentvpn to rtorrentvpn because I had some strange problems where in qbittorrent all torrents would stop downloading for several minutes and after a while everything was fine for about 1min then all downloads would freeze again. That problem repeated forever. rtorrentvpn have worked perfect since I switched for about 6 months ago. Now I get the same problems suddenly with rtorrentvpn, has something changed ?

I have got everything working but I have one issue left. I have enabled "Automove" in the options and have set the path to "/downloads/completed". But when the torrent completes it still stays in the "incomplete"-folder. I have set up some "Ratio Rules", but I would think that would not impact the automove ? Do anyone have any idéas why this happens ? Edit: I have added an additional "/downloads/ mapping to the container that points to "/mnt/user/downloads". Edit2: I removed the extra "/downlads" path and pointed "/data" to my downloads folder and now it works. (I originallly thought that the data mount was for settings)

I have the ASUS TUF Gaming X570-Plus (non-wifi). I would not recomend you to buy this board. I have two gpus but can only use one of them as the system hogs one of them and stubbing does not make any difference. I have a multi-controller USB pci-e x4 whitch I can't connect, so I had to use a single controller usb x1 to be able to get some more usable usb-ports for vm's. Adding a third pci-x1 gpu to use as dummy disables the network.
-
I found out what was causing the problem. I forgot that I also added a third gpu to one of the pci-e x1 slots to my motherboard so that I could use the two main gpus for vm's. For some reason my motherboard disables the network when I add the third gpu. Removing it solved everything.

Ok, here is the diagnostics unraid-diagnostics-20201021-1902.zip
