Thanks! Complete diagnostics is in the top post.
I’ll look for the driver. Looking for HBA card drivers or NVMe specifically? -
Out of curiosity, I booted the into a live Mint distro and benchmarked the disks from its disk utility. All of the disks ran at full speed. Looks like it is something in Unraid itself...
-
@JorgeBcould you help me parse through it the output?
-
Thanks @JorgeB! I'll see what I can get with Lspci -vv and will post an update.

Oh it’s definitely the controller. I just need to figure out whether there are settings I can adjust to make it work property. Whether it’s in BIOS, in Unraid, or…
-
This is a bit convoluted, but here goes...
I'm migrating my Unraid server to a new box with all NVMe drives (16 x Intel P4510). The drives are hooked up to several HBA cards - two HighPoint 1580 and one Broadcom 9600-24i.
12 drives are connected directly to the two HighPoint cards, and 4 remaining drives are inside an Icy Dock enclosure, which is connected to the Broadcom card via Oculink cables.
For some reason, the drives inside Icy Dock read/write at around 3 GB/s, while the drives connected to the HighPoint card max out at 750 Mb/s. I'm using DiskSpeed docker for benchmarks.
Any ideas on where to begin figuring this out? Diagnostics file attached.

Sweet, thanks! Looking for the zip now.

whoa really? I'll give that a shot. It won't overwrite my settings, array configuration and such?

Awesome, should be straightforward then. Thank you all for quick and helpful responses!

I plan on moving my current storage server off of Supermicro X9SRI-F-O mobo with a Xeon E5-2628L v2 CPU to a server with a Ryzen 2700x I had laying around. I'll move all the hard drives and replace the current cache SSD with an NVMe drive.
Do I just move the USB drive with current unRaid configuration to the new server or do I need to do anything before? Do I need to purchase a new licence?
Thanks for your help!

I've only started using unraid last fall but thanks to you guys I now have a very popular (among my family) Plex server, as well as a great backup solution. Thanks and godspeed!

I upgraded successfully from 6.6.6 but my Plex container (I use the one from Plex inc.) won't start anymore. Here is what it says in the log:
cont-finish.d] executing container finish scripts...
[cont-finish.d] done.
[s6-finish] syncing disks.
[s6-finish] sending all processes the TERM signal.
Critical: libusb_init failed
[s6-finish] sending all processes the KILL signal and exiting. All other containers have started fine.

Really well written and helpful thanks! Could you add a restore procedure as well?

A tool to build a custom USB image with/without features could also work. Splitting different components into their own packages might be best so different parts can be updated independently and not even need to be downloaded by those not using them.
This does sound kinda cool. This way people can pick and choose what they actually want to use and what they don't, thus controlling how much memory is consumed by OS. Additionally it would allow Lime Technology more flexibility with regards to licensing, like offering basic version of unRaid without support for plugins, VMs, or Docker for free. Just a thought.

weird. Tested with Fedora 39 and the same thing - all disks perform at full speed.
