  1. Thanks for the Vid, I always forget which folder the drivers are in within the virtio ISO. I wonder if this person still feels that 30G is more than enough for his/her Win10 VMs...?
  2. Thanks, I didn't notice the notification in time, but I did find it (on my own, no less) after about 20 minutes.... Regardless, I appreciate the quick response!!!
  3. Please disregard I was able to load the Network drivers within the VIRTIO.iso file by going into NETKVM > 2k16 > amd64 Within that folder I found the redhat ethernet adapter drivers. Remember that the .ISO file will be listed as a CD drive within 'This PC.' Hopefully that helps the next newb that comes across this issue on their UNRAID box.
  4. I have virtio-win-0.1.173-2.iso set as the VirtIO Drivers for a WINServ2016 VM, but I also don't have any network drivers on this VM. I'm assuming that I may have chosen the wrong drivers within the ISO. Any advice as to where within this ISO the correct drivers are located within the ISO? When installing Windows Server 2016 STD, it didn't find the drivers automatically. Any advice would be appreciated.
  5. Ah, understood. I still can't help but think in terms of a traditional RAID array and just really don't want to make any assumptions. I definitely plan on having two drives for parity, just wasn't sure I had say sixteen 5TB drives on this unit if I would need a certain number of drives to ensure fault tolerance. Thanks for the clarification, it is appreciated.
  6. I've got 128GB of RAM in my current UnRaid server. Mainly just using it as a NAS/storage server. Plan on putting a couple VMs on it for stuff down the road.
  7. I have a Cisco UCS 240M3 that hasn't been using in a couple years and I would really like to start utilizing this box since it has dual 10core CPUs with 128GB of RAM. it has 24 2.5" drive bays. My question is: how many parity drives would I realistically need assuming I would be utilizing all 5TB 2.5" drives in each slot(minus the two slots I plan on using for Cache)? I'm completely new to UnRaid and just don't want to make any assumptions. Realistically, I'll only be filling 6-8 drive bays initially with 5TB drives and just two 1-2TB SSDs for caching.
  8. I discovered this old topic, and it was able to answer my question/concerns. ,
  9. Apologies in advance since this is my first attempt at UnRaid and I'm sure, or at least hoping, this will be a simple issue to resolve. I have unRaid 6.6.6. I am unable to access and of the shared folders on my UnRaid system. I've enabled SMB (Active Directory) and I've managed to join to my Active Directory. I have global shares for disks shares and user shares enabled. I'm able to access the webui from another PC on a separate VLAN without an issue, but when I try to access any of my share folders file explorer will ask me for my credentials and I'll receive an "access is denied" message. I have shared folders set as public and private with the users I've created set with read/write access. Before I switched SMB from Workgroup to Active Directory, I was able to access the shares. Any direction I can be aimed at to resolve this so I can move forward would be appreciated. I'm hoping that I can present this to my boss on Monday so we can start using an old Cisco UCS C240M3 server as a NAS for backups.
