all of a sudden i couldnt log into some of my docker things so i tried restarting docker and it didnt restart so i rebooted the whole box and it still isnt starting. Im not really sure whats causing it. Diagnostics file attached tower-diagnostics-20240117-1932.zip

I had a weird issue where my server lost its mind and some of my drives went disabled for no reason. I fixed this by removing them one at a time rebuilding the array and readding it back in. Im down to the last drive which is one of the cache drives in a pool but it wont let me start the array if I remove the disabled drive from the pool. What should be the proper procedure to get that drive back online as part of the pool?

i had deleted the appdata folder for that container since i figured it was messed up attaching diag zip tower-diagnostics-20200424-2119.zip

so weirdly enough that fixed all the issues except the root one. my transmission vpn container is running in the back but the web interface wont load

My Docker seems totally hosed. It started when I upgraded a container a while ago and it glitched in the middle of it so I reinstalled that container and it worked but the web ui never worked again. I finally sat down today to figure out what was up with it and decided to just trash the container and start over but ive now noticed other things going wrong in Docker. None of my other containers will apply there updates even though the post messages show as successful the upgrade indicators are still there forever I also can no longer load the community applications in. So at this point theres nothing going wrong that I dont want to chase issues and would rather just trash docker and start over with fresh containers. Ive got backups of the stuff that matters but im not entirely sure how to go about doing it.

after several failed attempts at cards that claim they will run 8th drives in unraid none have successfully seen my 8tb drives but it sees the 4tb drives just fine. Ive gotten a few some what discount cards because I didn't care much about speed but Ive had it. Whats a card that will run 8 and 10tb drives and will work great in unraid? im just going to spend the money and be done with it.

so if I move the USB to the new system and have several blank 10tb drives there how would I add them into the array if 11 of the original drives are missing?

my issue is that my old system has 12 drives in it and my new one cant take all the drives so i need to have both running to copy data from one to the other

my old system has finally had it. it is an old netgear rackmount that takes a dozen drives that are a random mix of 1-4tb from every vendor. Its time to upgrade everything so I got a new desktop server that only takes a few drives and some 10tb drives that will hold everything I need in it. I read on how to migrate the license and all but I want to double check something. It says that it will blacklist the old drive. Will that kill it as soon as I do it or does it give it some time? I want to get the new system online, transfer my pro license into it, then migrate all of my data but I want to be sure its not going to nuke the old system right away. Also any other things I should be aware of while im doing this?
