  2. Hello guys, I recently started using the new release 5.0 I accidentally started the array with the cache drive in slot one position. Now I am unable to move to the cache position without the array being invalid. Current I have 2 WD 2T drives and 1T for the cache. How do I get the system to let move to 1T to the cache drive. Will I have to preclear the disk again. Thanks Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  3. I have been waiting for a few days myself. Hope he sends it soon. I am out of room and cannot proceed util I get the package.
  4. Just so I understand this correctly. Even though Disk one is in the slot where disk2 was located and so fourth, I Just asign them to the same slots they were in before, according to my screen shot. This will not cause any issues. I am running the plus edition 4.7, not a beta. Thanks again for the help.
  5. Hey guys I am hoping you can help me with something. I currently have a 12 bay system with only 5 disks. 1 Parity and 5 2TB green drives. I have just received a 1.5TB drive i want to use for a cache drive. Through all my reading everyone says to make sure it is on the mobo. I want to do this but I allready have the slot filled with a green drive. What I was wanting to do is to just move all the drives down a slot and put the cache drive in the slot where disk one was located. I am just wanting to make sure I don't mess anything up. Can I do this and just restart the array or is there something else I am missing. I have read the FAQ and post and I am still a little confused. Thanks so much for the help.
  6. I just want to clarifythat if i do add more levels, that i will not be splitting the media files, hence have the same file on 2 disks. Thanks for the help
  7. Yes I did check to see if I could write directly to disk2. Work no problems. Sense I changed my split level to 10 I am able to continue adding files. I am stil a littl estumped as to why it filled disk1 all the ay up. I was under the assumtion that high water would only use half the disc and move and so fourth.
  8. I have always had it set at High water, sorry for the typo.
  9. This is what I have just changed it to. Share name: Media Comments: Media Tower Allocation method: High-water Most-free Fill-up Min. free space: Blank Split level: 10 as of now Included disk(s): disk1,disk2,disk3,disk4 Excluded disk(s): Export (SMB): Export read/write Export read-only Export read/write, hidden Export read-only, hidden Don't export This is what I had it at when I posted the Issue. 10. (SOLVED)I have had my server for a few months now and I have been steadily adding media to it. Until today when my first disk in my array of 4 filled up and now I am unable to add any more media. I have my Split level set to 2, if this is wrong please correct me. I have been reading all the posts and I cant seam to find an answer. Thanks for the help. I have tried changing the split level to 1,4 and nothing seams to change. Should my media just spill over into the other disks. I even tried to add include all 4 disks and still no change. syslog_unraid_12-20-2011.txt
