Keyfile restoring flashdrive
Hi I have forgotten the password to main tower server. So I deleted the three files on the usb for password reset(manual) When booting the usb failed to boot I set the usb aside and maid a new usb on a trial key That was that I went in and can see the data on the one drive an ssd The new trial(usb) is on a sandisk disk I read that these are not recommended. What I would like to do. I would like to copy the key file off the original usb temporally. I would like to recreate the usb using wizard I would like to then restore the keyfile back to original usb (manualy) and boot up the array--(plus key version) What and where is the key file?? Help. Any advice or help greatly received. -- oOSGearOo

USB Drive Recovery | after Failed/Forgoten Password Reset
Hi Returning user after being out for a couple off months, I had forgotten my password so hard reset the password, I guess during that time the key became unbootable. How to proceed. I have access to Linux and Windows but attempts to make the drive bootable fail as in running the file to make the drive bootable from within Linux. I would like to repair the usb key I think what happened is that while deleting the password files on the usb-key some how, some other files got deleted/changed/....... I previously/recently had to get a newkey license file maid by support, so replacing the key-physically is not as simple as downloading keyfile -/- and making a new usbkey. Its within the year.

UnraId IP router :> Internal dockers/VM's ...
Hi I am still having bother with this, see post one here. My research on the subject in video form, all seem to point to SSL certificates and linking from the internet. This is not my aim, I want to host this so this is on a local Lan only. Iam trying to set up redirection on local lan : the weapon off choice Nginxproxymanager hosted in docker on unraid. I have this setup/installed but the items I put in do not seam to be picked up in firefox on another computer on the local lan. I am tring to link up address like http ://xxx.xxx.x.xx:8096/web/index.html#!/home.html Yes that url is correct, I doctored it to hide the local Ip numbers only . Any help greatly received. For great results a video on youtube or similar to follow would be great. -- Steve

UnraId IP router :> Internal dockers/VM's ...
Hi This looks promising. The only thing is this is for internal use only in my case, although I am sure their is a way of working it out. I have been watching a few spaceinvaderone videos these are all mapping your public ip to an internal docker. There is one video of his I have to track down, so will see. -- Steve

UnraId IP router :> Internal dockers/VM's ...
Hi This has probably been covered before, please point to thread of answer if possible, my Knowledge is laking. Note to forum mods : Please move to appropriate forum if this one is unsuitable plz thanks. Running the latest version of Unraid My question | - My Unraid has a static IP : 192. x. x. 1 as probably all Unraid servers are, the problem I am running into is that, all the dockers have the same IP as the server but with a obviously different port number. I would like to run or route docker containers so they would each have there own different IP. The reason is its very confusing for password managers they record(or mine does) the URL/IP and the user and pass. This idea would be or could be likened to an internal(Unraid) router. I have watched videos and know you can route traffic from one container to another but this is not what iam after unless it is a router-docker container like idea. On a side note is there a way to give the Unraid server an https URL :>This I have not researched yet. -- Steve

New Windows 10 Installs on 6.10.03
Thanks JorgeB Iam on linux so I have used my knowledge to good use. I did not check the sum against M$ hash when downloaded however (after rename and uploading the rename), I find the following smoking gun. Same command md5sum works in Linux to, top on download machine. -- Stephen

Thanks that thought had gone through my mind as well. Can you help with the command to hash check in CLi?? Or is there an app that does check sums!?? I did try a few days ago doing a checksum in the cli, but could not figure out the syntax, how to lay it all out. Both what you where checking and also the checksum to check against. Many thanks JorgeB Edit: perhaps the color coding on the files denotes something(exe)

New Windows 10 Installs on 6.10.03
Hi I am still struggling with this fault where I can not boot a VM to install Win10 successfully. Here is what I have done since/recently. I have(with Limetech's help) created and booted from brand new EFI usb key.(thank-you) I have deleted all VM's plus V-disks. I downloaded a fresh ISO of windows 10 installation and verified hash before uploading to the array(cache) I have refreshed the VirtIO iso deleting the previous one first. I have created a brand new VM-Windows 10 The configuration shown below When I start and run this installation attempt I get the following message as before shown below. I do not know what more I can do try? Since so much has changed I have created fresh diagnostics, Attached below. tower-diagnostics-20220626-0558.zip Here's hoping that you will have a better Idea than I on how to resolve my installation woes. Please note that I have gone from an Intel Motherboard to a fresh newer AMD Motherboard -- Stephen

Of course that check is on the download computer. Its not a hash inside unraid, difficulty working out the hash function their.

Hi Think I have found my problem, when drilling down to see it in the terminal. Going to try again. While changing the vdisk directory name to one without space the problem remains.
