I am using a Rosewill RSV-L4412 chassis. (Dont know what the latter is).
But after 18hours of fiddeling around with it, here are my findings:
The 0,75m cable does not work, no matter how it is used.*
The 0,50m cable works and all disks are detected but only when used in port 1 on the HBA cards.
I found the last part weird, but after some research I found someone comming to the conclution that his LSI card (looks identical to mine, but he dosnt mention the model) wont read anything on port 2, unless port 1 is also active. But I cant test if that is true since I only have 2 cables and one of them (the 0,75m) is not working.
So the next steps will be:
Contacting the cable sender, and RMA the 0,75cable (or just let them send me an aditional cable).
Await the other 2-3 0,50m cables, and hope that they are all correct and test with them.
Post my findings here, since someone else might need them later.
THANK YOU for all assistance johnnie.black
*It might be a misplaced (in the bag that was sent) OCR cable. It was shipped in a bag saying OCF and 0,5m. But it is 0,75m so who knows. - Although the numbers and description on the cable itself has the same info as the 0,5m cable - but is says nothing about OCF/OCR.
