You need to give more details, like if the VM is really unresponsive or it is only your video card or another component like CPU, Hard Drive, etc...

VM is unresponsive even in ssh or remote access? If yes, you should check if the vm is paused (Out space in disk most of the times), you should check if it is when the computer turn off the display and won't turn on again and disable in windows or the operation system you use, and then check with another gpu or without gpu if you can if happens the same, with other cpu cores, if it still happens after tested everything you can, you need to analyse your VM config (That is very unique so i can't help much with my knowledge)

Do you have 2 monitors connected? Can you check if your VM still works like connecting with ssh or something like this?

I have a gaming VM and did everything to optimize the speed of the VM but when I get high usage on my VM ssd the vm gets very laggy and everything will be with high latency and that doesn't happen with bare metal windows with the same ssd and transfering files what it could be? These spikes in the image are low compared to when is the main drive

I'm using windows 10 and when I'm downloading a game like 100gb I have multiple problems with latency and slow windows on ssd passtrough which makes the vm pause and try to unpause instantly pauses again and when using a second drive from the array the VM pause suddenly when I'm waiting the download. I avoid downloading to the ssd because it makes the vm so slow I would like to solve that. It is a passtrought directly not using unassigned devices for this but my main issue is for second drives but seems correlated. I tried to use vhdx and vhd from smb but same results. Memory and cpu is well bellow high usage and the network card too. Attached bellow is what it looks like before the VM pauses

Probably the problem was the NTFS partition. I pre clear the disk and put XFS on it running test fine now.

I'm performing a disk speed test in my VM

I have an OSX Sierra VM and I installed on a unassigned device with raw .img and Im having VERY slow write speeds. I start the disk speed test and the speeds are great like 500mb/s but in seconds it drops to 80mb/s and 60mb/s and going down until get read at 8mb/s and writes at 6.2mb/s. I already tried to chance cache from writeback to none and unsafe and native IO the start perfomance is the best with io='native' on the disk but it get slow after during the test.
