  1. TigerDirect has the Seagate Barracuda Green 2TB 5900RPM/64MB 3.5" Internal SATA Hard Drive (ST2000DL003) for a low $79.99 Free Shipping after rebate. Tax in FL, GA, ID, IL, NC, SD, TX. This drive sells for at least $120 at other reputable vendors. [Compare Prices] This is a stellar price for a 2TB hard drive. Most of the deals we see these days on 2TB drives are closer to $100. This particular model is good as a storage drive thanks to its lower energy consumption. It's also slightly faster than your standard "Green Drive" since it uses a 5900RPM drive vs 5200RPM. $30 rebate Exp 12/21/12 http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=7192141&SRCCODE=LINKSHARE&cm_mmc_o=-ddCjC1bELltzywCjC-d2CjCdwwp&AffiliateID=Es5Ekr9eEBk-8SzaZYRHt9zqwefXotsd3g
  2. Do you have another monitor, or can you test without the DVI to VGA adapter? If not, can you check via IPMI on another computer? I have had problems not getting all resolutions when using similar adapters.
  3. Yes I saw that. I think the information applies to the I3 also. I didn't want to change the wording in the link I copied from Supermicro. X9SCM Key Features 1. Single socket H2 (LGA 1155) supports Intel® Xeon® E3-1200 & E3-1200 v2 series, 2nd and 3rd Gen Core i3 processors***, Pentium, Celeron
  4. 4 Beeps = Unrecognized Processor BobPhoenix is correct *** BIOS rev. 2.0 or above is needed to support new E3-1200 v2 CPUs, which supports PCI-E 3.0 & DDR3 1600. Look at the bottom of this page: http://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/xeon/c202_c204/x9scm.cfm
  5. It looks like you have a 2nd generation I3 http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/processors/processor-numbers.html http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/334359-28-what-difference-intel-generation-generation-core Edit: It looks like others here have the same combo working. Maybe the MB is bad after all? http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=14306.msg135173#msg135173 http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=13880.msg131413#msg131413
  6. Do you have a 2nd generation I3? Take a look at this page: http://www.intel.com/support/processors/corei3/sb/CS-031175.htm#10 At the bottom it states: "The Previous Generation Intel® Core™ i3 Processors and the 2nd Generation Intel® Core™ i3 Processors do not support ECC memory, but the 3rd Generation Intel® Core™ i3 Processors support ECC memory.
  7. Is the memory fully seated? When using two memory modules, the recommended setup per the manual is to install the memory in the blue slots
  8. I would try it if you have that one already, otherwise I would get a Seasonic or Corsair
  9. I think it's most likely the power supply, the one in your post is definitely not an EPS12V power supply Compare the specs on yours to this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139021
  10. Look in the Buy, Sell, Trade section. BigXor has full height brackets for $11.50 + shipping. But he is in the US also Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
  11. If you don't mind using a 2.5" drive then I have a solution. I have the same case with iStarUSA 5-in-3 cages and I use this bracket from A-Tech Fabrication: http://atechfabrication.com/products/drive_mounting_kits.htm

  22. You could build a mini-itx unraid using this case. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112348 Kind of pricey, but it looks portable enough.
  23. Have you tried myPlex? I use it on my android phone. http://wiki.plexapp.com/index.php/MyPlex "myPlex is a free service from Plex that lets you watch your media over the internet, share it with friends, or bookmark interesting videos for later viewing. The service makes configuring your network for these functions much simpler than before. Even people with little technical knowledge will be able to use the sophisticated media-sharing features."

    Step by Step

bjp999 has put together some links to help new users http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=9822.0 At the bottom of the post, you will find a step by step unRAID Configuration Guide. It states it is written for version 4.5.6 and is valid for 4.6 & 4.7 but I think you will still find useful information there. The UnRAID 5 manual is here http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/UnRAID_Manual_5
  25. Here's a link that states the 9YN166 is made in Thailand and the 1CH166 is made in China and is stuck on firmware CC43. http://forums.seagate.com/t5/Barracuda-XT-Barracuda-Barracuda/st3000dm001-made-in-China-not-fit-for-purpose/m-p/176760/highlight/true
