  1. I love that I can do so many things all inside one system: NAS, VM’s, Dockers. It’s so cool! id love to see named VM templates that let me easily boot a VM using slightly different settings depending on which one I select.
  2. So I have a PNY GTX960 graphics card installed on my Unraid box with 3 monitors hooked into it. I have the IGPU disabled because I don't want to use it. I've been hearing about the GUI Boot mode and just tried it out. On boot using the very latest stable Unraid, I selected GUI Boot, and it started up Firefox so I could manage the server. I then start the array and my Windows 10 VM but then all displays go off and nothing happens. I can't get back to any kind of display and have to use another computer to force it to stop. The VM Log doesn't tell me much: 2016-12-04 06:37:12.622+0000: starting up libvirt version: 1.3.1, qemu version: 2.5.1, hostname: Zooey Domain id=1 is tainted: high-privileges Domain id=1 is tainted: host-cpu char device redirected to /dev/pts/0 (label charserial0) Anyone have ideas on how I can get this to work. My ideal goal is to get it to boot up. Then when I shut down the VM, it goes back to the GUI Boot display....
  3. I'm currently running Win10 on a virtual disk which is located on an SSD. It's running well but I was curious if I got another SSD and passed it through to the VM to use, would I see any performance benefits? Anyone played around with this? Thanks much! #Unraid4Life
  4. So I have a Windows 10 VM in my Unraid server with GPU Passthrough of my 3 monitor system. Right now I only use the VM when I'm gaming, which is only a few hours a week, so I shut it down when I'm done each time so that my dockers (Plex mainly) can transcode etc at full speed. Since I only have 3 monitors, and the VM is off, the only way to start my VM is to login on my phone or another computer to start the VM. What are people doing to start their VM? Are most people just having an extra monitor connected to unraid? Can you start the VM from the Unraid command line? Any other options? I wonder if there is some way I can script a physical button to connect and start it up. Bob
  5. I have experience with command line, just not using rsync. It looks like it's calling diskmv. What exactly can I try?
  6. Unbalance worked on my first disk I wanted to clear to switch from reiserfs to xfs. But now with my other two drives, it just keeps stopping not too long after it's started. I saw in the thread this could be because of a drive failing, but i did the simple SMART test and they came back fine. Any ideas of what I could try? Looking at the unbalance log, it doesn't come back with an error it just stops. The only other thing I see is I thought when i did it on my first disk, it was emptying the space on one drive and filling up the space on the other. Now with my next drive, the GB free isn't increasing on the source disk during the process. Thanks for your time in developing this and any help you can provide! Bob
